I stupidly bricked my s4 T.T - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I bought this s4 few months back and i rooted it with CF auto root. Just as I wanted to unroot it, i stupidly went to reset factory setting via the "power", "volume up" and "home" button. After that they prompt me for software update and i clicked YES!!! >.< after rebooting it stuck at the samsung logo screen. I've tried clearing cache and resetting to factory but no luck at all. Please anyone know how to fix this issue?
Thank you

Oh dear, not sure if this would help, but there's an excellent guide by @samersh72 here -> on how to unbrick your phone and get it back to stock firmware.

That's not a brick; a brick wouldn't let you switch on your phone. Just download any 4.2.2 stock ROM if you previously had 4.2.2 non knox, or 4.3 if you previously had 4.3 with knox. Enter download mode (pwr+hmoe+vol-) and use odin 3.07 (3.09 if you have i9505) to fhash the downloaded rom.

Help! Rooted Samsung GT-9505 stuck on samsung logo

Hi!
I just rooted my Samsung GT-I9505 a few weeks ago with Odin v3.07 and CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5.
Note that I didn't install any custom ROM.
It worked fine until now.
When I turned my phone off, it got stuck in reboot. The screen is black with a "Android OS is upgrading.. Opening all applications."
It's been 30mins and it just stayed there so I decided to take the battery off, put it back in and turn myphone on.
Now it's just stuck with the samsung logo. And whenever I factory reset and reset cache it, it just get stuck with a black screen with a "Android OS is upgrading.. Opening all applications."
Did I just bricked my phone? Is there any way to fix this?
Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!

Your device is not bricked so don't worry
1,
U flash philz recovery and do wipe cache / dalvik / fix permission and if req also reset the device it should reboot just fine
2,
Incase this does not wrk flash a pre rooted firmware from android development by djembey and reboot try with wipe cache after u flash and incase get stuck here also

 Thank you! Wow! That's a relief! I thought I'm going to have an expensive paperweight.
Anyways, tried option number 1 and Flashed philz_touch_5.10.0-i9505.tar.md5. All went well until the reboot and it got stuck into the samsung logo. So I removed the battery, put it back on and tried to go to recovery settings (VOL UP + HOME + POWER) but then it continued to reboot and stopped at the samsung logo.
Note that earlier, before I flashed philz.. I can still go to the recovery settings.
Will now try the second option. Just another question though. By pre-rooted firmware, do you mean a Pre-Rooted ROM or the original stock rom? Seen them here --->

Am I on the right track?
If you want it rooted then use a pre-rooted rom or flash a stock rom then root again, your choice really...
i ugraded my XSA 4.3 official firmwate to BTU official firmware. everything is succesfull but now my phone is tuck on Android is upgrading screen. what should i do. please help

[Q] Unfortunately, System UI has stopped

Hi,
I was messaging a friend on my phone when all of a sudden it shuts down. Now when it reloads after the samsung logo I box pops up saying Unfortunately, System UI has stopped. I flashed lollipop over a week ago and everything was going great until now... Any ideas anyone? I tried to flash again but MMC_write fail at start. so no go. Odin sees it. TWRP is available but I cant restore since my restore point has disappeared. I cant mount anything besides system and micro sd. Cant get int Adb sideload either.
Thank you in advance for any help anyone can offer or lead me to an answer.

It fails due to the fact that it cant mount data, cache, or internal storage. Any other ideas? Man I wish it was that simple though would have been free from the stress last few days.
Thanks,
I got the same problem when i flashed cf root for kitkat on my SM-N9005 5.0 lollipop, i simply reflashed the stock rom via odin and problem solved

I was thinking the same, however everytime I try to flash something with odin it fails. On the screen it says MMC: MMC_write fail not sure how to get around this part. Sent to samsung tech guy and he said he couldn't either. any other ideas?
Is it ok on xda to bump a thread? if not my bad. Still desperately looking for an answer on this topic.
Anyone with ideas? It's been since feb and still sitting in the corner looking all sad.... IF all else fails is there a way to brick the phone completely so that Samsung will honor my warranty? Microwave? Oven? Something?!!?

Howdy, att s5 active was acting up so i downloaded the stock ne4 firmware from sammobile and flashed it via odin. Now the phone is stuck at the s5 splash screen and refuses to boot. I have tried booting into recovery and wiping cache and performing a factory reset to no avail. I have also tried using the firmware upgrade feature in kies but this did not work either. I am at a loss if anyone could point me in the right direction to help me get this thing working again i would be very appreciative.
The phone is completely stock , never rooted or messed with recovery or anything like that.

For anyone experiencing issues similar to what I was i believe i have found a solution : eventually i was able to get 4.4.2 to boot fully up - but then began to experience random resets. What I did was go into developer options and switch from dalvik to art. After all of the apps were done optimizing the s5 active now works perfectly, without issue. Hopefully this information helps someone else get theirs working properly.
hello
What firmware you flas first time? ???4.4.2???

HELP!!! Galaxy A5 - SM-A500H stuck in bootloop optimizing apps after lollipop update

Can anyone direct me on this? I used ODIN to flash the new lollipop update 5.0.2 on my friend's A5. Odin went successfully, but when the phone reboot, it got to the ANDROID UPGRADING SCREEN... Optimizing Apps ##/197 ... and goes for a while and gets stuck and reboots and comes back to the same spot and reboots.
What could be wrong? I have wiped factory reset and wiped cache. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!

Your steps seem to be correct. Maybe the firmware that you downloaded may have got corrupted. Try downloading it again and check if it is for your variant.
