[Q] Hide SD Card Encrypted Notification - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Verizon Galaxy Note 3, model number SM-N900V. I encrypted my SD card, and as a result there is now a seemingly permanent notification in the notification tray stating that the SD card is encrypted, as shown in the attached print screen. The notification cannot be cleared, stays present after reboot, and if I press/hold on the notification and touch App Info, Android System is launched and the option to uncheck/disable Show Notifications is grayed out. How can I hide or remove this notification?

I tapped it and it went away. The notification you are seeing is for the Android System, which you don't want to disable....

[Q] [bug]expanded notification closing to normal size

hello guys,
got nexus 4 with 4.4.1 stock rom+kernel.
im experiencing annoying bug with expanding notification: when unlocking the phone and then expanding the notification in the notification bar for the first time after the unlock, it goes back automatically to normal notification after few seconds.
for example, when i receive email, i unlock the phone, draw down the notification window and expand the gmail notification for additional options (such as delete), but few seconds later it goes back to normal notification size (automatically), if i expand it for the second time it stays expanded.
it really annoys me because if i wanna delete the email and i try to press the delete its gone and i accidentally press another notification which opens another application.
Hope i was clear.
is there a solution for it?

Notification management is driving me crazy

the notification takes up 1/3 of the watch screen so my choices are to keep my active notifications or tell time.
why can't i swipe away notifications while keeping them on my phone??
the watch shouldn't be the notification tray itself, but rather a portal into the notification tray.
a bonus would be if we could bring back swiped away notifications too.

you can swipe the cards 2 ways: to the right to dismiss, downwards to just 'hide' the cards and not losing them (swipe up to show again.)
or is that something that's not generic (i own a sony sw3)?

Lollipop lock screen notification?

Is there a way to make the notification show up in the status bar only? I just want am icon not a message showing what app it is. Yes I like my privacy. I loved being able to turn on phone screen and see the icon. Now all I see is Verizon wireless.... I'm glad you can hide the content in the new notification but I want to hide the app name too.
Anyone?
Root and upgraded to lollipop.. Still have root.

The lock screen notifications are part of Lollipop, which isn't changeable. You can hide sensitive content from the sound and notification settings, but that's as secure as it can go without showing any on the lock screen.

Notifications removed from lockscreen after updating to Lollipop

I noticed that the notification icons in the upper left hand corner of the lockscreen don't show up anymore after updating to Lollipop. On my phone it just says "Sprint" and I asked a co-worker who has a Note 4, and hers says "Verizon Wireless." We know what carriers we have. I would much rather have the notification icons. I looked through the lockscreen settings, but didn't see anything there. Currently I have to unlock my phone, then I can see my notifications. I did verify that I did have a notification which didn't show up on the lockscreen. Maybe it is just not something that we can change with the Lollipop update, apart from rooting it of course.

How to disable System UI "your battery is full" notification?

I don't recall seeing this on my Note9 running Pie, but with my S10+, when the battery is full, a second battery icon is pushed (left side next to the time) when the phone is plugged in and battery at 100%. According to the notification details, it is System UI / Battery Full. Unfortunately I cannot disable any of the System UI notifications.
Any workaround?
Update: System UI on the Note9 doesn't have a "battery full" trigger, hence why I've never seen it. Definitely something introduced on the S10.

It's not new to the S10, my S8+ had it. Unplug the phone at 100% if it really bothers you that much.
Long press the notification and select "details". Or, just go to settings/notifications/see all - Select "all" in the dropdown, select system apps in the overflow menu and scroll down to System UI and disable the notification for Battery Full. Obviously, the first method is faster

Battery full, infact all of the System UI notifications are force enabled. Even silent and minimised it shows on the notification bar.

Well that's ****ty. I didn't even notice that they were greyed out.
there is an app, autonotification. you can use it hide persistent notifications. I used it to hide some Gear Wearable notifications, works great.

I think we'd all prefer a native solution (even if it had to be done with ADB)

Yep; however, even on Pixels, not all of them are able to be disabled.
basically it's effed up that the guru's (used liberally) think that the average phone owner shouldn't be allowed to turn off any effing notification we want. I have a galaxy S9+ and if my phone is plugged in at night, and I don't mute notifications, there is no way to stop the annoying battery full notification. It's grayed out, along with all others except for "screenshits" and "app icon badges" wake TFU android idiot programmers and fix this crap.
Same problem here on my Note 10. All notifications in the system UI are forced on and grayed out. Has anyone found a fix yet?
hmmm which CSC and which version are you guys on? my s10+ doesnt have that ridiculous icon when plugged in and 100% full. looks like a CSC feature and if so it could be switched off (with root - by modifying CSC xml file) or you just flash another CSC as long as it doesnt effect your baseband
Update: Did a quick check but i couldnt find "Battery full" category in Notifications -> SystemUI. Only "Low battery". Probably something based off CSC?
s3, s5, note5, s8+ all had the notification lights for messages, missed calls, batt charging/full + any other notifications desired.
lack of notification the notification light/s on s10+, with infinity o display is my only gripe with the phone.
