Live Wallpaper Which Changes Pictures? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all, so I was wondering if you guys wanted to know if anyone had an app that basically lets you set multiple pictures as your background. I've seen one but it chooses pics from your gallery. I kinda wanted one that you can select the pictures. Thanks :$

What app is it that lets you use the whole image for wallpaper?

I know there is an app that lets you use the whole image as the wallpaper. Unlike the stock one that only lets you stretch the view field so far...

Thus has been posted before. Unfortunately its due to the gallery not being able to handle it.

Yep, its just the gallery preloading the pics.

[Q] Creating own wallpaper, what is the right size?!

Hey guys,
quick question.
I make a wallpaper from my own picture cropped to 800x1280. Perfect right? I load it on my tablet it looks great but when I set it to wallpaper it forces me to crop and doesnt get past 1/4 of the picture vertically. I thought the resolution was that size? Am I missing something here?
Thanks
Pinch out to resize the crop window.

I cant access that file to find out the size. Do you know it?
And to responder#2. I didn't mean a simple pinching of resizing the crop window. I got that. What I meant was it won't let me "pinch" out all the to my 800x1280 picture. It limits my selection area.
BTW I had this problem since day 1 of android usage. I just never cared enough to ask since phone displays are so small, but being this is my first tablet..a wallpaper makes a difference now.
Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?
Go get your own favorite 800x1280 picture. Download it, save it to gallery. And set wallpaper..you will not be able to set the ENTIRE image as wallpaper.
Figured it out.

basically, download PicSpeed Wallpapers
Then when you set your pic as Wallpaper choose picspeed. And they offer different orientation.
Thanks man that app worked like a charm

PicSpeed has absolutely no effect - images still badly cropped when set as wallpaper.
Has anyone sussed this obvious and stupid problem?
Picspeed worked great for me, no more weird cropping on my wallpapers.

[Q] Issue regarding wallpaper scaling. Help appriciated!

Hey XDA.
I've had an issue latlley regarding my Nexus 7, whenever I set a wallpaper, no matter if it's a living wallpaper or just and ordinary high-res image, the wallpaper gets scaled down extreamly and looks like crap. The issue started after I installed 'Gyrospace 3D' (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=opotech.starfieldLWPFree) and I have the same issue on my HTC Sensation, aswell after installing the same app, thats actually what made me relize the app came with the isuee. Heres what i tried to do to resolve it:
1. Uninstall the app
2. Change launcher
3. Wallpapyrus app, Wallpaper Setter app
4. Other Wallpaper apps
5. Restarting devices
How can I resolve this stupid issue? I issume theres some value the app changed wich makes all wallpapers be very very scaled down, and even if i choose as big as possible, it stays zoomed in when set.
Id love to if anyone can help me, a solution that aint factory reset obviously. Thanks in advance, and warnings for that stupid app.
I'll try a little bump and hope someone has an idea how to resolve this! Thanks
Use quickpic to set a wallpaper, available in the market. When it ask you which gallery to use to set the wallpaper, pick quickpic and it will use the full picture and not make you crop a section. Hope this helps.

Clear cache or reinstall the app and mess with the settings to see if it has an option to disable the cropping or whatever the hell it's doing?

Wow... Awesome solution. I've been really hating how gallery crops photo's to look like crap.
Quick pic loading app too. Will be replacing my gallery for sure!
Now.... Just wondering as I haven't been on the up and up on apps...
Since using original HTC incredible Google has had issues with high rez contact pics when callers call. Still have that issue... Is there app to fix that too?

I tried, theres simly no settings for this **** app..
Syncmypix works well for making higher res call pictures, but it is for Facebook pics. As long as most of your contacts are synced through Facebook then you won't have a problem.

If your just setting a static wallpaper, you have to open quickpic, select your pic then set as, then crop using quickpic. If you use the long press method from the home screen it will force you to crop the normal way.

I use the 3d pic live wallpaper app by the same developer as the gyro space LW and it works beautifully.

HELP. Why am I seeing black line on wallpaper?

Hi. Can anyone tell me the reason for the black lines on my home screen??
It's very irritating to see them..
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I don't see any black lines. May be because images are downsampled. Can you post problematic parts of screenshots, or full-sized images?
Is it just on your wallpaper or always over your whole screen?

If the lines are on your screen, so they cant obviously appear in screenshots, post pictures taken from other camera.

Happens to me sometimes when I set wallpapers. Just pick the same one and set it again.
Assuming it's the wallpaper and not your screen, you need to maximize the area set by the wallpaper as large as you can. You may be a pixel or two off, so when the wallpaper attempts to repeat itself to the next home screen, it fills the gaps in with black pixels. I had this happen on a wallpaper I had set, took me a few tries to finally get it to repeat properly.
I have the same wallpaper

They appear only on some wallpaper. And they are exactly at points where I crop the wallpaper while selecting it.
I had installed QuickPick and Crop Wallpaper and later uninstalled it. Can this be a possible reason?
I am running Paranoid ROM with Hybrid Properties set to Stock UI.

Try an app called Wallpapyrus or something from Play. I never had to crop my pictures again. Guess that should help with the cropping problem if you hated cropping pics like me. XD

Even after uninstalling the apps didn't help. I'm still those lines..
