Watch on Widget

I can only get the watch on widget to work on the lock screen, not on thr the home screen. Can someone confirm they are having the same issue?

Using nova I have no option for the watchon widget. I got the notification drawer widget to appear but it disappeared after reboot.

Same here. That's really weird that they wouldn't have it as a home screen widget.

Surprised this isn't being discussed more. Also no homescreen widget in the GS4, only lock screen and notification panel

Watch On S4 problem

All the sudden Watch On app is turning itself on and showing in the notifications area. I turn it off(tell it not to) but when I restart it's back. What happened? Fix?

Check your settings and disable the "show remote in notifications"

Thanks, but that's what I have tried 6 times now. It automatically puts it back on restart.

That is weird because I use my watch on app all the time. I disabled the notification from settings once and it stayed true. Are you running a custom ROM? I'm on ShoStock v2.0.

Same here. Started happening a couple days ago. Every restart its in my notifications. I'm running mint jelly rom.

I am running SHOstock 2 and it happens to me too.
I reported it to samsung, you should too,
in the Settings near the bottom

Unless Samsung has updated the app behind the scenes.
This seems to have fixed the issue:
Under settings go into your applications
go to Samsung Watchon and hit the clear button,
Yes, you will have to re-setup your TV\Cable,
but the checkbox does not reset now.

I emailed them about the issue. You can report bugs from the app. I suggest everyone do the same

Lockscreen lens flare effect gone?

When I first got my s4 when I would turn on my phone on the lock screen there was this lens flare effect that would just happen. Then i would unlock my phone with a swipe and you would see it whichever way you swipe. After a few weeks that initial auto lens flare Was gone but the swipe unlock flare was there. I just now changed to the latest apps to SD firmware and low and behold it was back but now after I rebooted my phone once it is gone again only after 2 days of the new firmware ! ! Anyone else had this happen?

Only time I notice it's not there is when I have a live wallpaper on the lock screen. That's normal...otherwise its news to me

Mine worked on live wallpapers too. I have a static one on now and it still doesn't happen

Lock screen apps

How do we change which apps are on the lock screen. I cannot find the settings anywhere.
I want to add Gmail to there since that is the main notification that lights up.

Shortcuts, right under wallpaper in settings/lockscreen. U must have swipe to unlock, as unlock type to get these options I think...

The purple dot on the side of the screen and half of the screen became weird today. Never seen it before. It is not effecting the touch or anything.

uh oh, screen issues
is it constantly there or comes and goes? I'd warranty it right away nevertheless

It will go away eventually.. I'm noticing it only happened when the phone in sleep mode overnight.
