Since you mention that, can anyone see if it works with Xbox?

No worky. You can only add blue ray or dvd player, tv, cable boxes, media stream but no sound bar.

Does anyone know of an IR app that will work other than the LG one ? Im running CM but I would love to have the remote function back. Thank you

IR is not just an app. It needs to be supported in the framework first.

I'm wondering about this too. Would Unified Remote work since it has IR functions now? I may just buy it and check because it's a great app regardless but if anyone knows of an alternative that does work with CyanogenMod I'd like to hear about it.

Read above, no IR app is going to work on any AOSP ROM at this point.
That's unfortunate. Back to stock I go then.

Doesn't the HTC One Google play edition have an IR remote app? (that is a question. I don't know)

The HTC One Google Play edition does have an IR blaster app, but as stated previously no app can fix this - it is something that needs to be added into CM first.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.remotefairy I used this with sgs4, it's not compatible with LG g2, but developer said they working on it

Anyone know how to get it to work with a sky box before I remove the app from my phone?
Thanks
Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
you set it up after the tv, it asks you what you use to receive a signal. if you select set top boy it should give you the option to select BSKYB
Yeah, chose bskyb, then it asked for my TV, but I have one of those no brand tvs and couldn't find it. I only want to control my sky box. Not bothered about TV.

Just sent your tv up as you would and then say it worked it'll allow you to sort your sky box.
That worked. Thanks.

Get the sky+ app it's much better with it. Use smart remote for TV on off only

Yeah I have the sky+ app. I just wanted to see what smart remote was all about.
I like the way the basic remote controls are on the lock screen.

So... The quickremote app has the option to learn any remote control even if it isn't on the list. Did anyone make it work? Why can't I? If it helps I'm rooted with CloudyFlex.

It depends on the remote and it has to be ir remote, I've succeeded with multiple remotes at home

The black dot on the upper side of the phone is the Ir blaster. Try target it there and you will succeed.
Will try again... Thanks all
