Acer Iconia A500 but accidently installed PB Liberty Onto It - Acer Iconia A500

The title says it all.
I'm not sure how we did it, but we wanted to restore the Acer A500 back to factory and when I did it I was following some guide and now the boot screen shows PB and the model number under About Tablet says G100W which is odd because I have to original box that this came in and it says Acer Iconia A500 all over it.
I think i really mucked this up.
Anyway to fix it?

[Q] Dumb CWM Question...

Hi,
I rooted my ACER Iconia A500 and installed CWM. When I chose to backup my current ROM, just to do that first and get a good backup, it asked me to choose a device. While scrolling and looking for the ACER (which I could not find), I accidentally pressed to hard and ended up choosing a model that isn't ACER.
So my question is how do I get that list back to select the proper model. Now when I go to backup it takes me right to the backup screen and asks me to input a file name.
Also, once I finally get that list back, what do I choose for the Iconia A500 (since I didn't originally see it in the list)?
Thanks all.
Um... The modified CWM we have for the Acer doesn't do that... Did you install the right one?
Duh for me
Ummm...a big duh for me.
Yeah I found the Acer Recovery Tool and got the right CWM. probably just before you posted! So thanks much!
Were you using ROM Manager?

If you were using ROM Manager you are not the only one to accidentally choose the wrong model. ROM Manager does not support the Iconia yet, so leave it alone for now. I am thinking about deleting the app all together since Koush doesn't appear to be interested in updating the app for the Iconia's special needs. These forums provide everything you need to mod the device, just not as easy as having everything under the same hood, so to speak.
By the way, I tried deleting the ROM Manager app data and it did not help. Uninstalling it and re-installing should do it, but I'm really not that interested in it anymore to try.

Virtuous Galaxy Sideloading

go back to stock ics non-rooted?

I'm probably gonna have to send in my tablet for repair and I've rooted and installed flexreaper's R14 from for ics.I bought the tablet about a month ago it had honeycomb idk if there's a way I can get back to that if not can I get back to stock ics and how can I unroot my tab?
The better way is restore the official rom, you can do it with the downgrade to 3.0.1 unstable.. Which bootloader? HC or ICS?
If you have HC, make the downgrade and then the OTA update or flash a totally stock non-rooted rom (Androonay - vache's site), everything will be stock..
I've done the same 2 days ago e no issues
I think I have the ice boot loader I'm not sure though how can I tell?

Launch Acer Recovery Installer v2.74, it should show which bootloader you have.
If is 3.01 -> HC
Boot loader Version=0.03.12-unl is what it says

So can I go back to stock ics and if so how? Also will they know I rooted if I send in my tab if so I wanna unroot also if any can help me.
I'm wondering the same thing. CWM rev1.3.4 by thor2002ro bootloader version is 3.01 is what I have on mine.
Use one of the TimmyDean APX Packages with your UID and you can flash the unstable 3.0.1 build. Then install Acer Update Enhancement (either from the market or from the Acer website via the APK download) and update to OTA ICS

That's the rooted package. On second thoughts - head to vache's download link thread and scroll down to the EUU section

Similar situation... almost
I am in a very similar situation as the OP except my hardware problem is that both the USB and microUSB have quit on me. Without being able to use APX mode, I'm pretty hosed... right? Anyone want to place an over/under on Acer ignoring the unlocked bootloader and fixing the defective USB module?
You could also use afterOTA found here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1675939
and it walks you through going completely stock, although why are you sending it in? I have sent a couple things back for screen replacements and they didn't care it was running custom ROMS. But that tool should do the trick for you.
I just got the tab a month ago and my speakers randomly stopped working on me I wanna send it in while I still have warranty

You can fix that. MicroSD
Stick on a MicroSD a stock Acer ICS Leak ROM and flash it in CWM
Then once flashed, it'll automatically flash the stock bootloader and when it boots it'll flash the stock recovery back! Then reboot it and do the Volume Up / rotation lock toggle to wipe all your data off then it's completely stock!

I wiped android os from my iconia a500

Hi. I accidently did a system wipe on my iconia a500 with TWRP and I cant even install a rom anymore. This happened on my first attempt of installing a rom. Does anyone know how to re-install any rom (preferably 4.0+). Btw I was using Android 3.0.1 before it got wiped. Thanks!
Are you able to get into adb/fastboot/APX? What does it do when you power on?
Any other information is helpful to properly diagnose how to fix it.
