Total wipe then flash stock rom .

I tried this for a couple of days and do not notice any difference in performance. Anybody did?

So about 2 weeks ago, I flashed Paranoid Android on my Nexus 7. It's been working great, but it freezes a lot more, crashes and reboots the tablet. I don't know if it's the rom or what.
I flashed it for a day or so and had the same issue. I love PA, but it doesn't seem to be the smoothest on the N7.
More info such as which version would be helpful.

I'm using PA 3.16 on Jellybean 4.2.2 JDQ39. Like I said, it's amazing and I love the rom (despite the fact that it takes away the lock rotation) and it's hybrid features, having the features that the Nexus 10 has is amazing, but it's so unstable. It'll be working and then it will freeze and it freezes way more than stock rom. I might go back to CM 10.1

Yea, the only reason I haven't flashed it to CM 10.1 or SmoothRom v5 again, is because I love the hybrid features, especially on YT.

In that case, the problem was, unfortunately, that you didn't read before flashing. That build was never intended to be a daily driver. It is an early alpha, meant only to test hybrid2.
Fortunately, you should be okay with just a dirty flash back to one of the "nightlies." Chalk it up as a lesson learned about the importance of reading up on a new version rather than blindly flashing just because goomanager says there's an update available.

I actually didn't get goomanager until I flashed PA. It installed with it. I came here on the forums and watched vids on YouTube. People were using this version.
You should definitely see less issues if you go back to 3.15. It's a far more "stable" release. Personally, I'd also use m-kernel with it as well.

I've had my Nexus 10 for 6 months and I love the crispy display and fast over all system, the only thing that intrigues me is the scrolling. I believe all sorts of browsing there's a delay when swiping from a page to another. Especially on the app drawer and Facebook app. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Hello there!
If you look in to loading a custom kernel such as Ktmanta (which I recommend and use personally) I believe you will find the smooth scrolling you are looking for.

Really? I haven't tried to flash that kernel cuz I saw last time it was for 4.1.2.
Will it work on the latest nightlies of either pacman rom or PA rom? Thanks bro
It will work on anything

No wonder you have lags if you use those bloated ROMs

Cleanrom for a rock solid experience and fluid system. If you want features you can try aokp by mr robinson, or team eos for a basic rooted rom but still kept pretty slim and smooth.

Does anyone else notice janky srolling when using their note 3. I notice it somewhat on apps and definitely on the homescreen regardless of the launcher. I'm using the kit Kat launcher and I've noticed its decently smooth scrolling from screen to screen but not buttery smooth. Kind of bothers me because I don't notice anything like this on devices like the moto x or nexus 5.

Yes I notice this. Unfortunately the note 3 is not running vanilla android. It will never be close to as smooth as a nexus experience. Are you running stock?

I'm running eclipse right now, but I've run them all. Beans, hyperdrive, Baja, cleanrom, etc. Happens on every one. Upsets me that Samsung has that profound of an effect on the operating system.

Hey all,
I'm not sure whats happening but im getting less than 25fps on real racing 3. It's all stock, I've restored this phone to see if it was an app but nope.
I'm on 4.4.2 all stock. Low frame rate. No apps opened.

chrome crashed, i refreshed the page, 2 send. i'm new to XDA and not currently got the knowledge to know how to delete a post. :good::laugh:
try this app and set it to MEDIUM settings.

Good app, I have used it myself, if it even lags in MINIMUM settings, (in my case it didnt) you can try other games like Asphalt raceing series or Drag Raceing. Good luck!
Regards,
Nexus
Try with purity rom+ franco kernel, I play with extrahigh graphics and runs smooth
I play Real Racing on my Venue 8 tablet and it runs without lag, of course since I have 2GB RAM. How much ram do you have?

As its a nexus 4 he would have 2gb too...

it should not lag, on my old note 2 which has a weaker chipset RR3 was smooth
undervolt the cpu, maybe its throttling
Also if you get NFS: Most Wanted, that should be constant 60 FPS too, tested it on my Nexus
I don't know what makes your game lag, maybe because rom you are using?
