[Q] Vzw LG G2 Can't flash audio mods. - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there everyone I have the Verizon LG g2 and I tried flashing VIPER4ANDROID, ACID AUDIO, and pure audio and none of them were able to flash. All Said failed to flash, maybe because it's not in loki or something. Please help me solve this problem. Thanks so much and happy early Thanksgiving

For Viper must use SuperSU. Busy box not required, but I would recommend. Download newest Viper zip from xda thread or website. (not app from play store) Extract, not flash, the file in ES or similar file Explorer with root rights enabled. Open correct app (2.3 version of app is bundled in with zip). Install as directed by app.

Why the 2.3 app nd the the other one?
Sent from my VS980 4G using xda app-developers app

The 2.3 and 4.* versions are both in the zip. Unless you are still on gingerbread, install the 4.* version.

I installed the 4.x one since I am on jellybean and I didn't notice no difference after letting the superuser accept the VIPER4ANDROID app and installing the drivers. No matter how I moved the eq there was no change in the sound

Make sure v4a enable box is checked for type of speakers. (headset, phone speaker, or Bluetooth). Under menu, select driver status during playback. If processing is no, reboot and check again during playback. If still no, uninstall drivers, clear data, and restart app. Go through set up again. If processing is yes during playback, v4a is working. The v4a thread will have way more information than I would.

skygo

hi ive just unrooted and re-locked my n7 to watch skygo but its still saying its not supported on rooted devices, anyone else getting this
Are you sure you're unrooted? Check for superuser.apk in /system/app and su in /system/xbin. Delete them if you find them. You will need ADB to do this since you aren't rooted.

You can still use the apps with superuser installed. Just change the superuser apk to any name then check disable superuser in superuser setting. It should work.
Then re-enable when you require root function.

Yes I had exactly the same issue.....I run multirom now so that I can just boot into a factory clean unrooted rom. It works like a charm!!!! Multirom also shares the kernel from your main internal rom with the factory Rom.........

Just use 'TVCatchup'. It works better. Sky are stupid and don't want to support rooted devices. No idea why, has no effect on them.
CatchupTV is good but skygo contains loads more channels and now there is a sky movies app......Can watch football on sky sports on the nexus while the wife watches The only way is Essex..........phewwwww

Works great, multiple scripts built in for various things. One good one being reboot recovery as most ROMs right now don't have extended reboot baked in yet...

Has anyone had a problem with the root browser in this lately? it refuses to let me unzip something or transfer file to another folder.
Thanks
Fix you download the tools to let you unzip? When you enter root browser it prompts you with a message stating to download did you accept to it?

Works great for me. If u use the font changer, set the font in LG settings to something other than Roboto. Then install whatever font u choose, reboot then select Roboto in LG settings and then u have the font u installed.

The wanam xposed module does this. Search for wanam in the play store. You can also change alot of other settings with this app,
If you're talking about the recommended apps bar, sacs custom ROM 4.1 gives you the option for it when installing the ROM.

If you're switching from something other than Omni - you need to factory reset.
If you're updating from an older Omni build with gapps installed - flash Omni and you don't need to do anything else. gapps will automatically be backed up

Cannot reproduce.
I9100 has a small system partition so you need to use "mini" gapps

Some apps break, and because some things break with ART, any bug reports you file in Omni's bugtracker (JIRA) will be closed as invalid. (well, currently closed as RTFM, we need to add an "invalid" category.)

Anyone know how to fix this error? It happens for every ROM.
You need to have TWRP 2.7.

How do u update it. I've looked but didn't quite understand
If you have the correct TWRP 2.7 zip file, install and then reboot Recovery (NOT System.) If you don't have the zip, you should be able to upgrade TWRP using Goo Manager.

Can I download the zip from the TWRP Web site?
The TWRP site has image files for installation via fastboot.

It's Verizon so it's a vs980 but in settings it says D802? Does that matter?
Yes, it does. The VS980 is the only Verizon model. The D802 is a UK model.

How do I change it? Could or be the rom?
Sounds like you flashed a ROM for the wrong model. I'm not an expert on going back to stock for this phone, since I've had it for only a couple of weeks. There is a lot of info in the LG G2 XDA forum on reflashing stock. My advice: research before doing anything further with your phone, and then follow the recommended steps very precisely. In the meantime, charge it to 100%. EDIT: Did you make a nandroid backup of your original stock ROM before flashing the new one? If so, you could factory reset and restore, both using TWRP.
