Hello everyone,
I was a little sad with Nexus 4 Camera APK, i do not like it.
But I tested MOTO X Camera in my GNEX 4 and I REALLY saw BIG changes in terms of quality, stability and speed.
Now, I saw that this camera in 4.4 version got even better. So my point is.
Is it possible to port this camera to nexus 4?

guys i wanted to know, which one is better? planing to buy tommorow!
Google is the Key!
Could have very well searched that off Google, But here is my opinion on this
I don't own the HTC One or The Nexus 4 But i have tried them at my friends house and I have to say The HTC One feels better and has much louder sound, But that doesn't mean the Nexus 4 is bad.
I own the Galaxy S4 and i can tell you the only problem i have is for the purple smearing & Everything else works fine!
The camera, buttons, speakers & what not. But it's one hell of a bloated Software (Touchwiz)
They all have pros and cons but i feel like the HTC One would be a better way to go with it's low light performance, audio and LCD display means sharper image than the Galaxy S4 not that you will notice but it's just better, The only thing that stopped me from buying the HTC one was the button layout and the 4mp camera.
S4: better camera,display,performance
One: better quality and design
Nexus4 is beyond them.lower resolation,camera,and chipset.
Can't go wrong with the One or S4. Both are top dogs when it comes to performance and display. The nexus4 isn't bad either if you want a cheaper alternative.

So I've been playing with this Moto X which I love. The camera, however is terrible. Any comparisons between the Moto X camera the S4 Google Edition?
I have played with the HTC One before and love it, but hears the S4 camera is one of the best.
If the S4 camera is much better than the X, I may just get the Google Edition S4.
Thanks for any advice.

Moto X , Samsung S4 and Iphone 5s camera comparison here:
http://www.averytuttle.com
Moto X has recently received an update that among other things improved the camera. So I did a small photo shoot with the Moto X, Samsung S4, and Iphone 5s. All phones camera settings were set to auto.
You decide which one is best...
Did he label each pic with what phone took which picture? Am I missing it somewhere? I'm just going to assume the purple photos are the Moto X lol

Mouse over the thumbnail, it gives you the camera. But, essentially, its iPhone 5s, Galaxy S4, Moto X in that order for each set of 3 photos.
The other 2 are still better, but I don't really think the Moto X is bad.

So do these photos include the new update that improves the Moto X camera, or are these taken before the update?

The MotoX used in this comparison had the new update.
How is the camera compared to the horrible Droid Razr HD?

better
the one thing I noticed in those pictures was the ISO was much higher for all of the X shots than it was for either the iPhone or the S4.

That is logical compared to Iphone; as Iphone has a fatter lens (2.2). But not sure why it would need higher iso than the S4 as it is 2.4 lens like moto x. Good observation, but dont have an explantion.

the S4 pix in your gallery report its a 2.2 aperture.
There's still some pink hue sometimes on the Moto X from the avery blog
I have to add that I just came from motorolas version of a nexus being the Moto x pure and I immediately had way more interest when i got my hands on the N5x.
Regardless of the Moto x specs 21mp cam and ram .... I get better pic quality by far even with only a 12.2 mp camera better keyboard response better feel with screen size more unique development and mods available and easier root etc...
Anyone agree coming from a Moto x ?

I fully agree!
I was switching the devices too and I'm far more "impressed" by the N5x, than I was when I unboxed my Moto X Style/Pure. Impressive Cam, very light, perfect size (at least for me), the battery stats (getting up to 6 SoT with Custom Kernel and deactivated encryption). I'm pretty happy with the switch and I'm not regretting it one bit.

Moto Display is much better than ambient display. It's one killer feature for Moto.

True.
Switched from moto x pure to N5X 3 week's ago. Was a bit hesitant because of the smaller battery and the 2gb ram on it. Somehow everything on the N5X feels right... The camera, the fingerprint sensor, the size and weight. I bought the moto x thinking I was done with rooting and modding my phone's but I was wrong. I enjoy playing with it too much and the dev support on the moto was just not strong enough for me. Indeed moto display does work better but then again...the N5X does have a LED on it. Getting 4 to 5hrs SOT on both phones and no lag so far....I'm really happy I made the switch!
Nexus 5X V Moto X Pure
I was considering between the two and decided to go with the 5X mainly because of the screen size and Nexus branding. Although, I was really on the fence about it because of the Moto X's superior memory (3GB vs 2GB) and video stabilization. In the end I am glad to hear the opinion of someone who has had experience with both #TeamNexus
I also sold my 2015 Moto X Pure Edition for the Nexus 5X. I would have probably kept it if it weren't for the size. Moto Display is better than Ambient Display, but they both suck on LCD screens. All of the Moto features were quite nice and added more value to the phone than most ROM features (IMO). It was near prefect but was too big and heavy for me. I probably wont ever own another "Moto" phone now that Motorola is now dead.
FWIW, before I got my smart watch I enjoyed a feature on Light Manager that would wake the screen up whenever I got a notification.
I've gone back an forth between both devices a few times and here are my thoughts. Battery life on the moto X is better. The Moto does not have input lag, where it can make the 5x at times very frustrating to use. You can certainly feel the difference that extra gig of ram makes. The nexus has the far superior camera and usability from a size stand point. I love the size and weight of the 5x. For me, in the end it was the moto x. I like the expandable memory and smooth operation of the device. The moto features are also a huge plus for me as I drive a lot in my job. Hope this helps.
Hello all,
Would the Moto X Style be a good upgrade from my current Motorola Nexus 6, or would it be pretty much a wash?
Much thanks.
I had a Nexus 6 (dropped it, screen shattered) and got x style now. I'd say keep the Nexus. Dev community is much bigger. Screen too . Of course the style/pure is a nice device, and dev activity is picking up. It fits better in the pants too
Thanks, I'll stick with the Nexus for a while
In my oppinion amoled colors are too punchy and white is too cold.
Moto X is a little bit faster when opening apps. Tested side by side.
only if you need better camera
