I took the 4.3 OTA... Then rooted & Odin'd CWM... Should have done my homework first. Is there any hope for me?

Go into your download mode. 0x0 for Knox means it's not tripped. 0x1 means it's been tripped.

And the only/main issues with tripping Knox is that it voids your warranty and prevents reverting back to old builds, correct?

Hello everyone and thanks for helping me out in my last post. OK so I wait and get my mja update, which by the way fixed all the bugs on the gs4. Now I am thinking I want to root but I can't find a guide online anywhere, a Lil help would be appreciated.

You haven't searched or read much. You can use CF auto root.

No I have done my research CF doesn't work with sprint gs4 Mja build
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
hm I did cf auto root, and it worked just fine for me.

The only way to root MJA is to use CF and trip the Knox counter.

OK just a few more questions. So in the distant future will it be possible to turn knox back to 0x0 and unroot phone?

Maybe. But it doesn't matter. At this point in time, it has been confirmed that Sprint will not be denying service for devices with the Knox counter tripped.

Yep your right. Only thing I'm having trouble with now is where is my cwm to flash cyanogenmod.
I also have great news for all gs4 users who aren't rooted yet and running mja. I ran cf auto root on my pc with all anti-virus turned off and everything worked perfect, no SU or knox problems at. I was on sprint mja build.
Read up, make sure u have the right software and drivers and you should be fine.

Mr.kennyglass123 just got some confirmed info that sprint will repair/replace your phone with the knox counter set 0x1 so that's some positive news. I've have been able to successfully root and add a custom kernel to 4.3 without any issues and it's not as bad as it seems just people where making the mistake of trying to go back to a earlier update and with the new bootloader that just not possible right now. So, it's not that scary to do this update but I can understand where ur coming from thou buddy. I will be here to help you with it if you need me buddy I have successfully remove all of knox from the ota rom so far so it's that hard to get removed and such. Just trying to give some encouraging info buddy.

An important clarification, Sprint will do this! Samsung will NOT!!!! It is very important you understand the difference. If you are paying for Sprint TEP (Total Equipment Protection), Best Buy Protection, or even Square Trade Insurance then the Knox flag shouldn't be a problem. If you do not have any of the insurance packages and you are solely relying on the Samsung warranty for your phone than you should know that Samsung will reject any warranty claim if the Knox flag is tripped or they can tell that you rooted it. They will fix your phone for a fee.
Hey Xda,
I wan't to go custom again on my phone, i went back to stock for rma. But i've updated my phone...
how do i know i have knox installed?
I've added a picture with my phone status..
Greets,

Yep...your bootloader is secured...knox will trigger 0x1 if you root it and/or flash custom rom or mods and you loose warranty

As the title says I would like to revert back to Official Status, remove root and stay on Knox 0x0
I have 4.3 version, Knox 0x0, and I have reset to factory defaults and I do not have root now.
As knox is 0×0 it means you are not rooted.Just flash official firmware will solve your status.flash it wia odin.

No. False. Knox flag DOES NOT mean you're not rooted if it's 0x0.
The only times this is true is if root using a method that rewrites your recovery, such as CF-Auto-Root.
The only things that trip knox are unsigned recoveries (ANY custom recovery) and custom kernels (ANY custom kernel).

Ohh..tnx for correcting me.!But I think the problem is status of device. As knox is 0×0 there is no problem.knox is not triggered. Flashing a stock firmware changes the status custom to official. Please correct me if I am understanding wrong!

Correct. Flashing a full stock firmware AFTER a factory reset and wipe should return to official status, officially.

As long as it will be completely stock formeare, knox will not be triggered

Yes you can flash any firmware with triggered Knox, you just can't downgrade

Yes you will, if you don't have installed a custom recovery. You will get the official updates
Thanks...
Then, who care about KNOX ?
No one . In all seriousness in some countries Knox 0x1 does void warranty. I've send it to repair center with triggered Knox and they didn't say anything. I just used triangle away and flashed stock.
I wouldn't worry about it to much
