I assume not, but thought I'd ask to make sure.
I use ExDialer as replacement but of course whenever making a call or a call is incoming then the stock dialer will be used, never a 3rd party dialer like ExDialer.
I believe somehow only the Contacts apk is replaced by a 3rd party dialer, and the dialer itself will always remain stock.
So I suppose there's no option to completely replace the stock dialer with a 3rd party dialer? Can anyone confirm this, or even better maybe when it is possible, point me to a solution.
Many thanks in advance.
I use Speed Dial Pro
Jozsef Csiza app... Highly recommended
Has anyone found a fix yet?
All current 3rd party dialers use the stock samsung dialer UI when making a call or receiving.
You only have the option to select skype or the stock phone app when choosing the default dialer to make calls.
The dialer is embedded in the stock Touchwiz ROM. After tons of searching on google and XDA, I havent been able to find a solution.
Hi there guys, hope i posted in the right place.
I was wondering if there is an option to display on caller screen (when somebody is calling you) additional info like Organization (company) like you can on the iPhone 6. Is there an app for such a thing or?
Thanks in advance and hope you all have a nice day,
Cipri
Only if you use third party dialer
It seems that there is no collection of company information of data, but what i have used is dialing interface with call-number registration location.
was going to post an image... but i unable to post link or so.. so if you search google for "ios 9 call screen" the first image is what i am looking for
Anyone can recommend a third party app? Thanks!
All phone aap have call recording feature. & This is really very important for us. I think this feature should be in Google phone app.
All developers are requested to add the call recording feature to google phone app..
Please developers..!!
Add this feature in google phone app.
I hope that you're joking with this post... Do you even understand what you're asking for? You're asking small developers to make a big change to a big company's app. How do you think Google would react to people making huge changes in the app? And why do you even need call recording in Google phone app? There's lots of apps that can do the same thing...

There are lots of apps in the play store that add this functionality. I use this one as it has a floating button in the phone app that can be moved wherever you want.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.lithiums.callrecorder
corporations record you, but google makes sure people cannot do the same. don't use Google dialer.
Additionally Google disabled the ability to record calls from Android 9, none of the third party adds work since Pie and all the developers have publicly stated this is not fixable without root.
Since Google do not support this feature in Android anymore, it would be pointless asking developers to add the feature.

Hi, my phone mic doesn't work when I make a call via third party apps like Line and Whatsapp, and it also doesn't record a sound when I recording video. In contrast, when I make a call using Phone app, the mic working just fine. It also responding when I said "OK Google". Does anybody know how to fix my problem?
Here's the thing that I already tried:
1. Using an external microphone
2. Try to cleaning the mic hole with a pin
3. Try using built in Recorder app
4. Checking the microphones permission
5. Try to shut down my phone for half an hour
None of the above works. It irritates me because now I only able to make a call using built in app, while my contact mostly at the third party apps. Can somebody help me? I'm using Pixel Experience ROM Android 10

Hello to everyone,
I hope someone could help me, i need to record any phone call that i make/receive, the phone should record the call without messages to the caller about the phone call is recorded.
Did someone can tell me how can i do this? i have seen that one option is to root the device but if someone have other suggestion is better for me than root the device.
I have also tried this app: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...cord-phone-calls-from-the-phone-line.1441643/ but use the microphone so sometimes there are very noise.
Bye

Yes. I am in the same situation. The only things I can think of are, 1. A call recorder app. or, 2. Using a different dialer, say from a Oneplus phone. But I'm still looking into it. I have been using a call recorder app that seems to work somewhat okay but not that great.
I Hope Simeone could help US..
I have also seen that changing the phone app Is not the solution because some apps uses CSC

That's good to know because I was going to try it. The thing is, depending on what version you have, call recording is built in. So that tells me that all variants could have it built in maybe ? Not sure but I am continuing to do research when I have the time.
Yes, I think that every android phone have this functionality, the problem is that phone app use CSC to enable o not, this is what I have understand

I know that on some newer OnePlus phones you can change the dialer to get call recording. I would think that the Nothing Phone would be similar but at this point I'm totally unsure.

I also read that you can root the phone and use a magisk mod. But I'm not ready to root the phone just yet because it's still under warranty.

Same for me, i don't want to root my phone just for the call recording... but yes, there is this mod that seems really simple....
GitHub - jacopotediosi/GAppsMod: Tweak Google apps (e.g., Phone and Messages) to unlock hidden features (e.g., available only in some countries or on certain devices). Root is required.

We could try this:
Enable Native Call Recording + OP Stock Dialer on OnePlus 10 Pro

I tried to install it already but it won't install. Says phone needs to be rooted. But now that I'm thinking about it, I did install that app on a non rooted oneplus 7t before. Just have to give it permission via ADB. I think i might try it again and see if I can get it to install..
Correction. I tried to install just the joneplustools. This one is different.

Yeah, the joneplus tools says: can't install on this device. This app says: "something went wrong. Can't install app".
@rogerrulez

Please keep me updated if you find a way to do this :-D

Not really. I do have two apps installed that are recording calls pretty good ! One of them I installed from Google play called Call recorder. And the other one is one that I came across in one of the posts for the Nothing phone. I have both running at the same time and both are recording calls pretty good. However, I would rather have the inbuilt option.
I'm from Italy and have Nothing Phone for a couple of weeks now so I may be missing something.
I've tried ACR, a well thought app for call recording, but unfortunately it doesn't record bluetooth calls (earphone or car's) so as a couple of other apps. I guess it's a problem that every third party app is having, given Google policy.
So, I'm using the Google phone app call recording utility (upper right corder three dots > settings > call recording). This option has popped out the first time I put in the sim card. I suppose everyone can access this option but with Google you never know...
This makes available a button on the phone screen, a switch between call recording and not recording. Actually, it's only manageable when the call is started and it's available switching in the second screen of the app.
Overall it works pretty well, even on Bluetooth calls. The calls are accessible via the call log history and can de saved. The only drawdown is that you have to put a meaningful name to the file when saving it.
What drives me CRAZY is that it doesn't have the option to ALWAYS record the calls. Apparently, it's an available option (Google has a help page dedicated: https://support.google.com/phoneapp/answer/9803950?hl=en) but not for the Italian version. Or at least for my version
Does anyone know if and how I can make it a permanent choice? I don't want to manually switch it every time...
Any help is very appreciated

You could use MacroCroid. It can press the button for you and fill in the name for you too. You need a fair amount of time to set it up but it would work good.

Thanks for the tip! I thought the same and tried something similar yesterday (Tasker and another app, forgot the name) but gave up for the amount of time needed!
Going to try MacroCroid anyway, hopefully it's a little bit less complicate
Thanks again
