Do you mean that you did a data wipe?
If so, I'm not sure how much there is you can do. That is one of those "cannot undo" unless you performed a nandroid backup.

[q] [help] lg g2 twrp rom

Hi guys,
i rooted my lg g2 and then installed the OptimusG3 rom on it. It worked but somehow my brother played with it and got into the recovery mode in twrp. He did an advanced wipe and wiped everything. Now everytime I want to boot I got to recovery mode. I used the .tot method with lgflashtool and also used the kdz method but it didnt work either. I also tried to wipe everything and get this information :
E: Unable to mount ´/data´
E: Unable to mount storage.
E: Failed to wipe Dalvik
I need help please What can I do

LG G2 TOT-Method doesn't work

Hi guys,
I have a big problem, yesterday I wanted to reset my g2 with the TOT-Method (with the LG Flash-Tool) to stock, unfortunately the "update" stoped with the message "Download FAILD". Before i wiped the entire system with TWRP and after the unsuccessful try to use TOT i wasn't able to mount and format any of the partitions (Dalvic, Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage). After a view retries I somehow managed to successfully mount and format the partitions but when I tried to run the TOT-Method again it finishd again with "Download FAILD!!". Then I looked in the Log he's written under "Download FAILD!!" and it said to every partition he would have written, skiped. After every unsuccessful try to use TOT my phone rebootet and TWRP jumped in.
I also tried to use a TWRP backup to restore my system but the same result came out. My phone boots the LG logo apears and then TWRP boots up.
This is the first time the TOT-Method actually didn't work, so i don't know what to do.
Could it be that i have to manually format every partition myself or is the kernel in some points the problem?
I don't really know so correct me if i'am wrong but i hope for a solution soon.
Thank you in advance for your help.
(And sorry for my probably bad english )

If the tot method fails then try using the kdz method if your device has one.

You might not know this, but every device has its own different system partitions. The thread you were referring to is for Asus Transformer Pad. Following that might make the problem worse.
But this is ASus phone it works on lenovo a6000

In that tutorial mmcblk0p8 is being formatted because that memory location has the /data directory on Asus Transformer. But, in our device the /data can be in any other partition, and doing that might brick the device permanently
Delete the recovery log from twrp folder and flash another twrp from flashtool or rash..what version are you using? If it is indeed a corrupted partition, you can reflash your phone using qfill
Try using the Fix Permissions in TWRP recovery...
It may help.
:fingers-crossed:
@nikhil7870 do you solve this problems?

Best way is install the latest twrp I.e 3.0.2 and do the format everything instead of advanced wipe. Your problem will be solved. I too faced the same problem and I did what I have advised you. It worked.

Is the problem resolved??
I have solution
Bro don't take so much tension , thats not hardware problem its only your Recovery's reading cache error . you can simply fix this by flashing old version of recovery and from that old recovery again wipe what you want to remove but man don't touch your mount section column , after wiping data and anything else simply flash new twrp.img then simply reboot recovery . wollllaaa you got your partion cache back now again you can simply flash you favorite roms. I hope you understand what you have to do now . But please follow these steps carefully :good: .
Remember don't flash KitKat recovery over lolipop recovery otherwise you got bootloop. Old recovery means suppose if you have now twrp v 3.1 just simply flash v2.8 then after wiping things you want , then simply flash twrp v 3.1 .
If you still have any doubt you can contact me via WhatsApp - +91 9205097520 (indian no. ) or simply reply me on xda or simply mail me at - [email protected] . And at last don't forget to tell me about your device problem .

Unable to mount storage, failed to mount 'data' with TWRP 3.1.1-0

Hi, I am trying to make a nandroid backup using twrp on my LG G6 H870, but I am unable to do so as the data fails to be mounted. I have tried to repair the partition using twrp but I just get an error 8 and I don't know what that means. If someone could help, that would be great. I am doing this so that I can safely restore to the stock rom from HavocOS.
Thanks
