I don't know what ad that is, but my Fry's (Roseville, CA) had the $100 gift card for the 16GB model today's weekly ad (which that page is not from) -- and it's correct, because my husband just bought one and got the $100 card . I almost wish I'd waited, as I paid full price for mine at BB. Ah, well!

Showed the Fry's deal to Customer Service who didn't know what to do. He called the Manager over for me to show to him.
Manager called my local Fry's to confirm stock, then came back and said he couldn't simply give me a gift card for $100, but what he would do is return the Note from the receipt, and resell it for $100 less; so $399.99.
Walked out 20 minutes later $108.25 richer (got the tax savings too)!!

Yup, just left Fry's - got the grey 16gb with the $100 gift card! They wouldn't let me use the card for this sale though, was worth a try, lol. No problem though, I'll probably blow it within a week, ha.

Too bad Bestbuy requires the competing store to have a brick and mortar location in the same city. No Fry's in Charlotte, NC

This is a great deal for the SGN10.1. Even at day 3, every store within 100miles of me still has them in stock which reflects the demand in general. If the same deal were for an iPad -even with a "get $50 gift card"-, every store would have been out in minutes based on past Fry's promotions.
Of course, they don't know what they are missing, but that's exactly the point, despite all the Samsung ads featuring the SGN line. May be few of us should setup a tent in front of Fry's locations for free demos.

The fact most reviewers made the SGN10.1 to be a worthless POS didn't help either.

When I bought my Note, there was an iPad guy looking at the 10.1 Note and he seemed impressed. I've used WACOM-equipped Windows tablets for years so I could really zip along and show the usefulness of the pen.

They don't know what they're reviewing, they probably haven't used a pen of any kind for years.
The Note 10.1 is the tablet the Lenovo Thinkpad *could* have been. No love for N-trig here.

Fry's isn't helping. My local Fry's did something kind of silly: The demo unit of the Note 10.1 was next to a grouping of the Samsung *players* away from the other tablets. If one only went to the tablet section one would never know that the Note 10.1 was even there and my local Fry's has all three versions in stock!

On Tuesday newegg.com reduced the price from $349 to $329. Twenty bucks is twenty bucks....gets me half od a 64GB micro sd

You're probably right but don't ya want it TODAY!

I've heard some folks have been able to get Best Buy to price match Newegg. Actually shouldn't be too hard as this is only 6% discount. In any case, right now Amex is offering $25 credit on statement if purchasing anything over $250 from Best Buy. Thus if you get BB to price match and put it on an Amex card, you are basically getting this for $304 (plus applicable taxes.)

Here's a bad sign. I had a white G Pad that was sitting in my shopping cart on Newegg. When I went to the website and put another item in the cart, I got a message saying that they were removing the G Pad because they had insufficient stock. Looks like the black model is still available.
So, this means that the G Pad is now available at 11/2 retailers in the US, and basically, it's only available online and not in B&M stores. Another indication that LG is pulling the plug. I'm puzzled about why they seem to introducing it in other markets while they're abandoning it in the US, though. Mysterious.

Not available at B&M stores? That is absolutely false. The eight (yes 8 ) closest Best Buys to me have it in stock.
It's also still available at Newegg, just not on sale.

I should have said barely available at B&M stores. In my area, half the stores have a few units in the cage where nobody can see them. None of the stores have them on display.
I didn't see that the white unit was still showing up on Newegg, but apparently it is. The fact that they're raising the price going into Black Friday suggests to me that they are running out of inventory. None of this is good news.

The Smart Case advertise on their website is nowhere to be found nor any body know it will ever being sold. But it's a good tablet, I might want to wait until Christmas to see if the price goes down...

The HP Slate 8 pro with the tegra 4 is out now, 329.99. I'd consider it but I fear development, or lack thereof, will be the same as the gpad.

Hmm, I hadn't looked at this one before you mentioned it. Looks like it has 4:3 ratio (which some people prefer). One other issue is that it only has 1 Gb RAM which will probably affect the performance. Still might be worth a look.
With any luck, we'll start seeing some more 8" options in the coming months. Maybe some of them will make a better attempt to sell their devices than LG has.

The 4:3 is most likely a deal breaker for me. I've spent some time with an iPad mini and the aspect ratio just felt weird, probably because I haven't had a 4:3 ratio anything since the old computer monitors.
Regarding the RAM, some reviews I've read claim 1 GB and others claim 2, not sure why the discrepancy but it's a moot point after the screen ratio.
I'll probably just wait until the 8.3 goes on sale again somewhere. Hopefully there'll be another competitor in this screen size by that time.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing. I might pick up a cheap substitute (Nexus 7, e.g.) and wait for a decent 8" device to come along. It might turn out the the problem with the G Pad is just production shortages. If that's the case, then they may lower the price and get them out to more retailers when they are able to produce enough devices. If that doesn't happen, I'll look for something else. I'm just not ready to buy a G Pad until there are enough people owning one to make a community.

I pulled the trigger last night and got the price.
I just noticed this morning at Bestbuy, You get $10. credit for every $100 you spend with a $50. max.
So if you bought the tab at Bestbuy for $500. you will get $50. in credit to spend on accessories for it.

NO..............Limit of $50 in savings codes per transaction.

Problem with newegg is if you decide you don't like it, you are stuck. The policy on it is exchange only. No return.

I know I wont return it because I dont like it. I messed around with it at BestBuy, Seems to be the best Tablet out right now. It has an Iron Egg Guarantee with that purchase, that might allow you to return it for a credit if you dont like it

I doubt it was an error. It smacks of clever Marketing. No mistake stays live for 20 hours... the weird thing was it became #1 best seller whilst on sale and then that marker disappeared.
Mine is secure with a delivery BEFORE 9am on Tuesday next - a colleague ordered 5 and his are secure too.
Other vendors have been offering this and the white at the same price, but for a shorter time.

I don't think it's an error. The fact they dropped my pre-order price to that level in line with their pre-order price guarantee suggests it wasn't or, at least, if it was they are going to fully honour it.

Handtec's only a few quid cheaper than the (current) Amazon price at £501 plus I wouldn't touch Handtec with a 10 foot pole. Grey imports and terrible customer service in my experience.

I'm a bit confused. I placed my order on September 6th for the copper one, and my price has NOT reduced and is still showing as £529. How exactly does this price guarantee work then?

Yeah, I'm not sure what the Amazon version comes with but it doesn't bother me anyway because the bundled headphones and charger are cack so I've ordered the magnetic charger dock and the NC31 headphones which utilise the noise cancelling in the Z3 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HX9AJ5M/ref=pe_385721_51767431_TE_dp_1).

The Amazon version is standard retail stock. There is only one retail version of each colour.

I did have the Copper one at £430 ordered and also the Black version from Carphone Warehouse for the same price. After looking at many photos online I decided the Copper actually looked like a make-up kit and a bit too girly so cancelled the Amazon order.
The Black is coming tomorrow though and can't wait. Good thing too as the Copper was destined for the 30th delivery which I could not wait for.

Just on way home from Sony Mobile party in London for Z3 launch (as in consumer launch) and the copper looks mighty fine. After having black Z, white Z1 and white Z2 I am excited to have the copper one ordered. Sony will be pushing this hard too.

Same here I alway buy black phones but the Z3 in black looks bland to me, so ordered the Z3 copper version and the black flip case which will look nice together.

Mine arrived yesterday. And I was charged the £430. So happy! And in the coming days, I'll get the code to redeem my £10 voucher.
Disappointed Sony doesn't bundle any noise cancelling headphones, like it did with many Z2s. All you get is one screen protector (front only) and a USB on-the-go adapter, plus EP880 1.5A PSU (so not anything to take full advantage of Quick Charge 2.0).
Phone is lovely though, but one other annoyance - Sony not selling inserts for the docks separately. Do I seriously have to buy a new dock just to get the smaller insert that fits the Z3?!

I wonder if you'll be able to buy them through the play store, you can buy apps/movies/books but why not phones?

Preordered the n5 case and new Chromecast.... Still on waiting list for device hehe

Ouch $849 that's pricey, the 5x will probably be $529/$599 cad. Im out, not paying $700 after taxes/shipping for a phone that barely has any new upgrades compared to my nexus 5.

Wow, I did not realize how much CAD lost value over USD. Back on N5 release, the rates were closer.

They were 1:1 back then, my n5 was $399 cad back then. Now its brutal, 40% higher.

From what I read, the price on the Canadian 32GB 5X will be 559.00. I ordered mines from States, so I can get the $50 Google play card. Plus, is cheaper in US when you do the exchange rate.

Just ordered my 5X from canada, it's up.

I ordered it yesterday with the Chromecast. I always prefer OEM cases. Has same delivery date ☺

That's reassuring. I have never ordered an OEM case, including both the Nexus phones I have owned. I also ordered the flip case for the wife so we'll see how it works out as well.

In the shipping waiting room thread quite a few people noticed the status of their orders changed this morning from "pre-ordered" to "pending". Mine has also changed. I'm not expecting one but it would be nice to see a shipping confirmation email sooner than expected.
