Hello SwiftAdvance install the Rom, but when trying to connect via wifi it never connects, any suggestions to fix this?
What recovery version do you use?
Sent from my GT540 using Tapatalk 2
This normally happens when installing custom ROMs. The WiFi doesn't connect. Don't worry there are many ways to fix this. One way being to flash a WiFi driver. One that is compatible with your kernel.

I got this twice lately, flashing different ROMs. Does anyone know what Status 7 means? Thanks!

Something to do with your recovery I think. Do you have a custom recovery? If so try flashing a new recovery and then try again ?
Hi, I use the latest version of TWRP. What do you recommend, CWM?
Edit: No, actually I use the last but one version. Will update and hope for the best.

Great
Flash Marmite Kernel First ...Reboot...Then flash your kernel you want !!!
Is it for real ? It doesnt get deleted ? Never noticed it . ill give it a try.
Edit: works ! Thanks a lot for the tip..now i can use matrix with mtp. Awsome
I thought that MTP was strictly kernel depending. bedalus, can you explain to us?
Once you flash marmite, mtp stays on even if you flash another kernel. It gets overwritten once you flash your Rom again. That's how mtp works.

Yeah but that's not what i meant. Is it possible to have this MTP patch without flashing kernel?

No. You can't. It can only be flashed with the kernel.

Or you could just use USB Switcher by zatta from the play store. Then it doesn't matter what ROM or kernel you use.

You will still need a MTP supported kernel. How can an app replace a kernel feel feature.

thought so . ..
This may be premature, but now that we are unlocked and liberated from stock recovery what is the best replacement out there? I have used both clockwork mod and TWRP with other devices but does one have an advantage over the other with the M? Voice your opinion to the community!!!

I prefer TWRP, and it seems to be the best option for this phone. Use version 2.3, as 2.4 is still in beta and a lot of people have had issues with if. CWM doesn't have as many options as TWRP.

What he said. And the cwm is pain in the ass to navigate with the volume buttons.
Hate the new backup system in cwm also.

I use both, one of my Ms has twrp and one has cwm. I prefer cwm because backups are faster IMO, but either works

where can i download 2.3?
I have yet to root the M yet. With my Inc2 I used twrp from day one that it was released. GNex I used 4ext which is also excellent.

There is a link in this thread:
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/6444-installing-a-custom-recovery/
The TWRP that's included in the Unlock/Recovery thread in this forum has a link to 2.4, which is pretty buggy.

I haven't used it, but other people report that's it unable to restore a backup and freezes at "Creating MD5" when creating a backup. I think there were some other ones mentioned, but I couldn't find them.

Hello XDA. I have problem with my International LG G2 (D802) with my NFC. I go to settings and turn on NFC and after a 15 seconds turning on the nfc greyed out again. Like self turn off. I don't get it. when i restore to stock firmware the same problem.
Any solution for that?
I am using CloudyG3 1.3 ROM
Thanks!
Could it be a problem with the kernel? If not you may have a botched device.
How can i know about the kernel and how to change it or something to see if it works becouse of that? Thanks

You can check your kernel through ADB. This is the input you put, without quotes.
"adb shell cat /proc/version"
And to change kernel, you simply do what you do when flashing a rom and flash the new kernel.

Always make a nandroid backup through recovery.
I would suggest you use either Dorimanx (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2725023) or RenderKernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/kernel-render-kernel-aosp-lg-roms-t2803929).
Dorimanx is for Stock Rom while use RenderKernel if you want to go to AOSP based roms.

Then I'm guessing the problem is a hardware one. Have you ever dropped or bumped your phone? Even if you haven't have how long has this problem been occurring? Ever since you bought the phone or recently. This is because even though it could be a software problem, if you flashed the roms and kernels correctly, there shouldn't be any nfc issues in all of them. So in any case, I suggest you try to get the phone replaced or fixed.
