That not glitch..that is normal. The blue hue saying that u already reach its end..same like when u scroll using other application..contact..message..etc..

It's intentional, it's telling you it's the end and you can't scroll anymore.

I know.just it's a strange that screen is turning blue without touching off Pen... Like the video is showing... And before that last update that wasn't the case...

The pen triggers the air scroll
You can scroll in most places by hovering the pen near the border of the screen in the direction desired.
It's always been the case, maybe it's more pronounced now - or maybe you had air scroll disabled.

screen burn in. 4 months old. should i do something about it ?

i have the nexus S for like 3 or 4 monthjs now. i noticed that if i hide for example the notification bar on top. a slight burn in on the screen appears for like 2 seconds then it dissapears.
i wonder. will it get any worse ? what are my options here ?
if i put a live wallpaper, will it go still effect the screen?
honestly this is the only screen after like 5 nexus that doesnt have grid pattern, doesnt have dead pixels. doesnt have pink or yellow ugly colors.
What model you got?

what else would it be ? if i hide the status bar. i can see marks of the clock and the line " where the statusbar is available " for like 2 seconds before it dissapear.
I think you might be seeing some lag on your screen and just think you see a burn effect. Samoled can not get burned in.
Also, when pulling down the notification over things like android keyboard it shows through a little. It as if it was a screen burn effect.

If its there for 2 seconds and then it disappears then its definitely not a screen burn effect. It would have been permanent.
How are you hiding the status bar?

burn in has to be permanent. if it is just for 2 seconds, it might be the pixels readjusting to return back to normal.... i can't think of anything else.

You know, it is possible that its your own eye getting the burn. I mean if you have the screen brightness all the way up and switch that part of the screen to all black your eyes will get that burn effect and slowly fade out. Get a camera and record it. Watch the video and if its not in video then I'm correct in assuming its your eyes.

I think it is normal. For example I can see the status bar when XDA app is loading, throught the brown/orange full screen splash.
But that is not burn in, or it would always be there, like someone already said.

This is not true. At bestbuy they have a nexus s on display. You can see a slighty faded android with an exclamation symbol burned into the screen. It becomes VERY noticable when youre viewing a webpage since its all white.
My hypothesis is that the samoled pixel colors all age differently. since the status bar pixels are almost never lit up, they would show a slightly different color. But thats just an hypothesis. Its not a fact.

haha!!! at last we find a flaw in your super super nexus s
anyway, on topic, i had it too on the n1 but that was comprehensible as froyo had a whitish statusbar. this one is black ( pixels are not being lit up). i can imagine burn in with the clock or some of the green icons but the statusbar itself ??

Any One Notice this? Bright Line flash on the screen

This happened about once per hour, my screen will flash ,i means : a bright line appears at the left edge of my screen, brighter than anything i have ever seen normally on this screen, and disappear immediately. and not thing more is wrong.
I am using the CM9 Rom from locerra and it is a great rom, i don't know if this is caused by the rom, but i have not notice this when running stock HC.
I am just worrying if this will do any harm to the screen, or is there any way to get rid of it?
I have not find any pattern when will this show up, it has been shown when i am watching a movie on the MX player, and when i am using Chrome.
Has Anyone noticed this?
Just noticed this for the first time with LQ2

As test, turn off Surface dithering under settings -> performance
Edit: seems this is jackpot, have not seen the white left line issue anymore..
EDIT2 : nope, still on left side seldom, also noticed on bottom once today
Try the app SyPressure.
In my p6810 with stock ICS the app triggers the white line to flash like mad.
Try and report if you be so kind.
Experienced this a few times. Stock ICS, left side too.

dark blotch on screen

I just got mine today it is a great phone but then I noticed when I'm on a white screen I see a dark blotch or blur in the center of the screen..i call it a fish eye about the size of a pencil eraser.
Has anyone else seen this ? I'm returning it as soon as my replacement comes hope this isn't a common issue with the nexus and don't want to go through 10 returns before I get a good one.

You probably have warped glass from the installation of the panel to the digitizer. One of mine had a bright yellow glue ring about 60-70% down the screen in the middle. Try angling the screen in different lights and see if you notice any wavering... Like a very faint ding on a car. I think whatever machine presses the screens down does it too hard.

Screen defect [left side]

If you are one of few people with a nexus 4 where the very left centimeter of the screen (top to bottom) does not respond, you need to RMA. At first it wasn't a big deal to me, but after using swype from the playstore, the letter Q was unusable. I thought it was just a screen alignment issue, but it is an issue with the phone itself. It can be shown using pointer touches in developer options. This is a picture of how far I was able to go to the left edge before response quit. This video shows what the issue is compared to a regular nexus 4.

That's awful and would drive me nuts! I know with PA I lose a few pixels because of Pie. But that can be turned off. Yours would make some things impossible.... Like typing words with q in

[Q] Display brightness issue

I'm currently on my second N3 (the first one had vertical lines in photos) and looks like this one has a bad display. When using Tapatalk with the dark theme, the bottom left corner/edge of the display is brighter than the rest. When testing with Screen Adjuster, the difference is very noticeable. The issue can be seen even with just Thumb Keyboard with WP7 theme.
Has anyone else noticed this kind of problem?
Return it and buy from another store. Seems like these guys are selling you lemons.

The two phones are from different stores, I'm still waiting for a replacement for the first one.
Mine upper side screen seems brighter than below screen.. but this condition only happen when i use xda app set to dark theme..i thought the xda app the one that problem..not the phone...

Check it with the stock messaging app, it should have a uniform brightness. Mine is glowing on the left edge and especially on the bottom left corner.

You may notice that the black screen when you open the settings. Not symmetric Colors.
There is a difference in the backlight. Increase in the left of the screen.
AMOLED has no backlight! the issue is due to the production process (basically: the more of the center of the wafer your particular screen has been cut out, the more uniform it will be)!

If you want to get rid of display brightness issues, just switch to Dynamic, as the 'blacks' in Settings would be even blacker, to the point where it doesn't really light up as it uses the OLED technique of showing true black.
