I Accidentally must've soft bricked my G2, i fell asleep last night while it was flashing a custom rom and i must've rolled over on it and hit a button in cwm touch, but anyway when i turn it on the lg logo just flashes and goes away, im in download mode now, but im trying to download the stock rom, but its on an EU server and its 2gb's and it slows down to a halt when downloading them stops, does anyone have the file or know where its hosted somewhere else so i can download it please?
its an AT&T G2 this is the file name
LGD800AT-01-V10d-310-410-AUG-14-2013.zip

I was attempting to run this lag fix on my Vibrant and now my phone does not boot past the large S, it just sits there with the center of the S glowing every few seconds, then the screen goes black. I can then click the Home key and the keys all light up but screen stays black and the lighted keys never turn off.
I can also hold volume keys and power at this point and boot to Android system recovery screen but can't do much there because either a reinstall packages or reboot causes same issue at the big S. Is there any way to replace the update.zip (for lag fix) sitting on the internal memory so I can reload stock?
Note: I got to the part of that lag fix where it tells you to choose the top option in the MCL Scripting program (6:45 in thee video), while it was in there running the phone rebooted at some point and was extremely slow booting up. I was able to get to a "power-off" prompt there and since then have been stuck at the big S ever since.
Thanks for any help.
I was able to get back to the phone running again by doing a wipe (unfortunately) but now after booted I get an error like so:
Sorry!

The application Web (process com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
dumpstate_app_201008192123_com_android_browser.log has been saved. Use *#9900# to copy out log.
How can I flash my Vibrant back to stock now? I think this is kinda hosed the way it is now. Thanks!
Odin and stock kernel is your option.
Did you make a nandroid backup before you ventured into the lag fix?
EDIT: it should not be in this section
Took me a bit of time but I figured out how to use Odin and boot the phone in download mode and flash it with the stock kernel. Thanks for your help!

can you please help a noob out and give me detailed steps on how you did this =]
if you want to learn to use odin read some of the faq threads there one in each of the galaxy s variants development forums just follow the instructions and it should work
Right, so I'm pretty new to rooting but I figured I'd give it a try last night. I managed to root my G2 (D802) just fine and then tried to get TWRP. This is where it all started to go wrong. I was pushing the files via ADB like the guides said but it wouldn't work, so I took someone's advice to install it via an app called Freegee (I think that was the name). But anyway, it said it had installed and so I turned my phone off to check but when it was turning back on, it got stuck at the LG logo. I then spent all night trying to get the phone working again as I didn't have any backups or ROMs installed on my phone to flash from. I eventually managed to adb sideload a rom and get it working but now I want to unroot but I can't because Download mode just stays on the little rectangle with 4 blue dots that you get when you first turn it on in that mode. Any ideas on how to fix this?
could somebody help please this is getting really annoying and I haven't slept all night aha
Short version: Phone is boot looping at LG logo and when I try to volDown+power into recovery it gets to the factory reset prompt and I press power twice but nothing ever loads and the backlight just stays on. I'm guessing I no longer have a functioning download mode either because of the way these flashable bootstack zips we've been using on the VS980 ROMs mention that they disable download mode, so I probably can't use LG Flash Tool either. Bricked?
I had been on CloudyRom 1.3. I switched back to xdabbeb's VS980 ROM, the newest version with the 25B bootstack. As many people ran in to, for some reason after coming off of Cloudy, KnockOn doesn't work on other ROMs. I had tried to do this hidden menu trick to update the touch screen firmware which some people reported got the KnockOn working again. Long story short I was having trouble getting the hidden menu trick working while on the xdabbeb ROM, I went back to Cloudy ROM and tried to do it but that didn't fix it either. I saw people having success by going back to a purely stock ROM and doing the hidden menu trick from there.
Here is where I probably messed up, I had a backup from April of this year that I didn't have labelled/named well but I was certain it matched up with the last time I had probably been on a purely stock ROM when the VS980 finally got KK earlier this year, a backup I had made for the convenience of ever having to return to stock. I tried to restore this and that's where the trouble happened. At the time I figured worst case scenario would be that the baseband wouldn't match up and I wouldn't get a signal, but in hindsight I'm guessing it wasn't safe to try to restore this after updating to different bootstacks. Original KitKat rom was 24a I believe but I had just recently updated to 25B to use the newest xdabbeb ROM.
I saw a small ray of hope when I calmed down enough to remember the voldown+power sequence to get into recovery, but after reaching the factory reset prompt and pressing power twice to continue, nothing ever loads and the backlight just stays on, like my recovery is gone now too I guess.
And in a comedy of errors I'm guessing I no longer have a download mode that would allow me to use the LG Flash Tool through PC because these flashable bootstack files always mention that they disable download mode and I never worried about restoring it.
So, bootloop, can't get into recovery, probably can't get into download mode to work with LG Flash Tool.
Screwed? :crying: :crying: :crying:
Yeah, volUP + plug into PC just gets me fastboot mode.
Don't really understand why my recovery is gone, thought the button sequence to get back into recovery was the safety net to this entire thing and why I wasn't too worried. Was running TWRP.
I'm at the mercy of checking the internet when I have access to another computer because my phone was also my internet access on my home PC. Hoping someone can help. : (
Hello, cutting to the chase
Model: LG G2 D802
Story time: I tried to install ressurection remix rom through the sideload, after fully wiping my phone ( Wiped system, data, yada yada ) it showed some kind of an error about SU not installing properly, I thought well if I'll reboot TWRP will automaticly install SU for me, so when I tried to reboot it showed that No OS is installed, I thought it's a simple bug so I'll reboot to recovery again to check and bam. Nothing works.
+ Can't boot into recovery ( Tried volume down + power button ) LG Logo shows up and goes blank again ( Note that the screen doesn't turn off, just stays black, after holding it for a couple of seconds I can see screen going off completely but can't turn it on)
+ Can't turn it on normally.
+ Can't boot into download mode.
+After plugging it into an USB it mounts a D lettered drive with 63MB stuff in a folder called image with *.mdt files, modem files( I can screen it if it's important )
I'm clueless, never happened to me even though I flashed a lot of roms, I think I bricked it. Help?
UPDATE: I managed to quickly release Volume Down And Power buttons when LG appeared for half a second and hold it again, succesfully booted into TWRP. I haven't bricked it I think. Will tell how it goes <3
Hey man, how'd it go?
I'm in exactly the same situation as yours, can boot into twrp but nothing else works, i fear of the qhsusb_bulk brick but these people don't even seem to have recovery.
Any suggestions? Go back to stock? How?

Hey there, can you specify what you did exactly or where to find!? Do you mean something like this? (can't post outside links, in XDA-forum, title is "LG G2 is UNBRICKABLE NOW! [FIX REAL HARD BRICK]") Thanks for help...
Yes thats it. Lol i still got the files on my pc for my g2 i keep the whe setup cause im on the g3 now i just check in the g2 forums cause i had mine for 2 years and modded the crap outa it but yea i keep all the files on hand so if anything ever happens i can fix it almost on the fly now
Well so what happened to me that I managed to get inside the TWRP. When it lighed it up for a second I quickly released and held again that got me inside magically. So then I just transfered new rom and tried to install again. Sadly I didin't see that the ROM Im trying to install requires bump TWRP and I bricked my phone again. Though I entered download mode and flashed the stock rom through LG G2 flasher.
heres a video i made, how to go into recovery. for those that cant get in to twrp.

Does the download mode still work?
(turn off the smartphone, hold Vol. Up and plug in the usb cable Form PC)
If so, then simply flash the Stock-ROM with the LG-Servicetool.
I think your Downloadmode is bricked too. Right?
does the smartphone start in android and do you have root?
if so, you have to extract the laf.img from your firmware and install it via flash app as recovery.
Your Firmware?:
https://lg-firmwares.com/de/lg-ls980z-firmwares/
KDZ Extractor (WindowsLGFirmwareextract...):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600575
Watch this Video:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M4s6wrpD2Gk
-> Rename the extracted laf12345.bin to laf.img !
Than the download mode should work again and you can reinstall your Stock-Rom with the LG servicetool and all work fine again.
