No notification sound - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On my Note 3, if the phone is in vibrate with the headphones plugged in I dont get the notification sound. I was told it was supposed to do play the notification through the headphones. Any ideas.
It does play the notification through the headphones when the sound is on.

If ur ringtone is set to vibrant or silence it won't have any notification sound. Kinda the whole point of being on vibe. You can bump ur ringtone up one level past vibe with the side volume rocker and then use ur notifications volume that way. That would be the easiest way lol. Someone smarter may know better than I, I'm sure. Hope that helped

Instead of making it louder, why not just try putting it on vibrate...? Just sayin.

has anyone found a way yet to mke the rear speaker louder when on speaker phone?
ring + vibrate + high pitch tone
thatll help you out the best. I got that power rangers Beep communicator thing because that worked the best even when I was driving the forklift I could hear it.
Honestly you dont wanna go to loud, you may blow your speaker >< then that would really suck
Use the 'Noisy One' ringer to make sure you always hear it - that's the only ringer I can hear every time.
As for speakerphone, you've touched on my only complaint with the G2 - the speakerphone isn't very good and requires holding it to your ear (which defeats the point, eh?)
You can try Old Phone Ringtones (from the Market). Some of those ringtones are really loud.
Hey guys I realize you are trying to be helpful but telling someone to "put it on vibrate" and "download louder ringtones" is not very helpful (The Vibrate sux on the G2 I usually hear it vibrating instead of feeling it ). I too am looking for a way to boost the speaker sound like I did with my G1 using "Louder Volume Hack". I have Loud ringers but that does not help with custom ringtones or with the reason I went with Android, To make it function the way I want it to, I am sure most of you also feel this way.
Also of Note: I can get the Speaker to the desired Volume using an Poweramp equalizer to boost the volume of music, considering all the apps out there I am surprised that no-one has created a hack to do this on the newer phones.

Alarm

Just got my N5 had it for a couple of days now and I love it, only issue with it is the speaker volume and weak vibration but anyone know of a alarm app that is louder than the default sounds too low.
Go to the play store and download the Zedge app and get some loud tones. Search for "loud tones" within the app
NX5
Wow that's loud thank you will definitly wake me up lol
Is there a fix for the weak vibration or third party app because it's really weak
Updateing to 4.4.1 will increase the sound, and in order to increase the vibration intensity you can download vibration config but you need root access

Volume rocker and notification button doesn't mute media sound

Hi,
Is that normal?
Sent from my mobile device
Uhhh all those have different volumes so check them individually
I know I can check individually. That's not a problem.
The problem is that Media volume stays loud even if I mute everything else with button in notifications. To mute Media sounds I must do that manually each time.

No that's not. You mute the sound hoping it's muted but actually it's not muted. And if you launch a game or a video in the place you are expected to be quiet....

[Q] can I make Z3C ring from speaker even headset is plugged in?

can I make Z3C ring from speaker even headset is plugged in?
I can't find any setting about this in settings app.
Well if you don't keep it in silent mode or vibrate, the sound comes through both headset and speaker as far as i know. You can try it out

Notification sound volume when wired

Is there a way to control it, as whenever i get a new notification while listening to music it gives me a jolt.
BTW, all volumes are already on the lower side, up to 3 notches from 0.
