Let me guess you are using twrp? Sacs rom was the one time I had problems,, I ended up getting corrupted partitions and had to Odin back,, after the initial fail I was able to go back to a nand but everything was jacked,, something dosent play nicely with twrp and v8, it was mentioned in the thread somewhere I remember reading about it,,, let me go find it I'll be back

If you are still having radio issues you could always just Odin the mf9 modem or if you are wanting to come to MJA Unknownforce has the modem tar
One more thing when you had no radio did you happen to look at about device and see what you had under software and baseband?

Well that's most likely your problem, if you want sacs rom and you are going to stay on 4.2 then flash V8, it is an awesome rom with everything working, very much a DD, HERE IS THE LINK
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2359590
The rom you flashed is with MJA not mf9, even though it might be possible to upgrade modem through sacs rom it's more than likely to leave you with some bugs, if you decide to try V8 (I highly recommend) let me know how it goes :sly::sly::thumbup:

I would back up your data to be safe and it's always good to do a clean flash with a new rom. Most roms come with a kernel.... FYI, if your WiFi does not work after flashing a Rom, just flash another kernel. Most times that fixes it.

[Q] Need Wifi Help (Not turning on)

I was running MJA/CM10.2 but needed to update my PRL.
In the process, I decided to update to MK2/CM11.
I started by flashing Stock MK2 w/Root ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586586) then ODINd the MK2 Firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42954149) to get Sense.
PRL and Profile updates, noticed that my Wifi wasn't connecting at that point.
Flashed CM11's Snapshot (http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=jfltespr&type=snapshot), flashed Wifi Fix, and my wifi is stuck on "Turning on wifi" and won't get past that point.
Anyone know what I need to do to get wifi restored? I've been searching for solutions for about an hour and can't really find one.
You have to wipe your phone to get it to work. And possible Odin a tar. Those have been the ooy two ways i have been able to solve it.

If I sound like a jerk then sorry ahead of time. This is not just to you but anyone toying with checking this out. There are many people asking questions that clearly show a lack of understanding regarding this update and what you might end up with if it goes bad. If you are currently on a custom Rom, it is beyond my imagination why you would want to go to a stock Rom that you might not be able to get back from. This forum is already piling up a few users that tried going back to mk2 and are now probably stuck with a coaster till someone releases a full release Odin install. Several very solid devs are quickly putting together something. I would be willing to bet within a week we have a couple projects to choose from.

Through Odin just flash the full mk2 update. Make sure you wipe data or things will be broken, I had to do it twice before everything worked right. This will also give you sock recovery. From that you can just re root the same way you did the first time and then reload a nandroid back up if you have one from your previous rooted room.
Hope this helps you

I have the same problem with NAE build number, but MK2 baseband and software (also MDF security software version if that matters). Did you ever figure out how to solve this? If so how?
For those with mixed nae and mk2. First flash the nae modem thru odin then flash a nae rom. As for now those people who decided not to go full stock to take nae and are stuck this is the only work around for this problem. Until we get a nae tar yall will be stuck for it for another week or so.

Is it safe to upgrade S4 to latest and greatest?

As the title suggests, is it safe to upgrade my rooted S4 from CM10, to say CM11 AND upgrade the baseband and bootloader and all other firmware to NAE (or whatever the latest is)?
Edit: In short I am trying to get off of MJA because of the deep sleep issue that drains my battery.

Excuse the noob question, but will i Need to install a TW ROM that has that baked in? Or is there a place to get the bootloader? I see a Spring S4 firmware thread, but no bootloader for MK2 or NAE.
Thanks in advance.
You will have to odin the NAE tar file, then reroot your phone, install custom recovery, and then install cm11 or whatever rom you want. This will bring your phone up to the latest firmware and will hopefully solve your deep sleep issue.
Contact this guy and just flash the modem and bootloader via Odin. The download links containing the bootloader too are not on the page but it mentions that he will provide you with them if requested.
