Maybe this question has been addressed somewhere on XDA, but I was wondering why there aren't any AOSP ROM's out yet for our Note 3. Just curious if they are in the works or what??

From what I understand AOSP ROMs require a new kernel, which we are unable to flash due to limitations from a locked bootlader.

Can assume CM will work on a version for unlocked (TMobile) version that a dev could use to port to Verizon. Last I heard there was issues with call audio but that was a while ago and nothing official.

This is for 7510 and if someone ested this already let us know if cam works
Sent from my GT-P7500 using xda premium
If you had bothered to follow the link you'd have read in the first few lines that the cam is NOT working and no support from them is provided. These all come from building from the same sources as the builds on here anyway. Why should anyone here even try it? :screwy:
If you see this it was sent using my GT-P7510.
Every other CM9 Kang works on the 3G 7500 (I have one, and have tested them all. Working fine).
I dont see why this one wouldnt.

That's probably the only difference, this is official. The kangs (usually) add other things they feel are necessary, while this build would be pure cm9 ics
What about the recovery.img at http://android.chemlab.org/snapshots/p4wifi/? is it the same version pershoot released some days ago? If I'm not mistaken, that version had minor problem when reading the storage folder list, right?
Did anyone here installed the recovery.img is able to confirm that?

Nope. And it's most likely not coming until Samsung officially releases the driver, or a full rom, from which the driver can be extracted from.
Has anyone seen any updates for CM9 for LTE SG3? I thought with common chipsets we would see builds floating around already.

Is my logic right that since the T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T and the Verizon SG3 all share the same chipset that all the rom development can be shared?

Those were pretty major bugs, and cross-chip winzip ports ALWAYS fail to go much further than "boots to lockscreen".

Not ignoring them, but if no one does anything, we won't get it at all. Now someone is willing to work on it, fix bug ti help the 9500 community.
If no one word do that, the rom won't appear magically like you seem to think.
CM aren't working on it, fine but let other do something for the 9500.

That's the next update that's in the wings for our phones. This has some new code for Bluetooth and maybe other things I am not familiar with. But with this update alone, I highly doubt tmo will "add" wifi-calling to the N4 or even ever. If they intended it, they would have installed it on the Tmo version/sold by of the N4.
Right, but is it that integrated of an app that someone cannot port it into a custom rom, from a t-mobile phone on jellybean that has wifi-calling?

I don't know the semantics but the gist is not just an apk. I think it intertwines with framework and that's a lot of shifting through code to bring one app to light. I mean there's a thread created with a reward of like over $1,400 to "port" it. lol

That reward thread pretty much speaks for itself then.. lol...
Yeah I believe for ICS it still was an app, and easier to work with. But I did notice that in Jellybean it's no longer in app form, and it seems to be tied into the updated sim cards they are running and I guess, more "baked" into the framework itself.
You would think they would come out with a stand-alone app for ppl without actual T-mobile branded phones..
As of yesterday i have officially gotten the Galaxy Note 3 in my hands! With that being said i am now going to start development and try and get an awesome ROM out to you guys! Before i start i must know if DSIXda's android kitchen works with this device. And also if Aroma Installer is supported with this device. Really looking forward to start development and get a few Roms out there for you guys but i gotta know this first. Also feel free to let me know what you would like to see in a ROM, especially what kind of theme. My ROMs do have a history of having some kick a** sound mods in them so do expect that!

well, your reasoning might be good. Is it the Samsung crapware on the bootloader? I am not being funny, it's just that your answer was very brief and I couldn't see whether you had done any dev work on your member profile.
