You got a point there!
Its like my phone is lying about the battery level. It could say full but go dead in a few minutes. I go into recovery and it'll say 86 percent at times it will like it isn't charging at all

I just picked up this up from Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/1550mAh-PD421...s=Anker®+1550mAh+HTC+ThunderBolt,+MyTouch+4G,
They work excellent. People in the reviews were crying about the charger, but personally I think it's great. This past weekend my roomates used it on thier phone while traveling.
It works fine most roms but the problem wit most of the roms they are unstable. This is my 2nd battery. I'm using Joy OS rom

I got my nexus s 4g with the same intention I've had with all my androids..root,flash custom rom, custom kernel, n have perfection on my phone. Well how surprised do u think i was when i got the phone n fell in love with the stock rom. Holy crap is the stock rom basically flawless...lol

Same here bro, same here!
Same, I don't see too much to complain about on stock. It's light, responsive and fairly stable. I'll root it eventually of course though. I'm sure there are too many under-the-hood options that I'll be dying without before long
My only complaint seems to be random data drop outs. Is that a known issue or wtf is going on lol

Nexus s 4g is plagued with all sorts of data issues. Its what the alleged ota is suppose to fix. As far as the stock rom, I almost always run stock with a matrix kernel. I like bln amd voodoo color.

Hey you guys I hate to start a new thread I usually search before I ask but In this case I can't find it..
Anybody know how to install Extension 4, or at least can post a link to a guide with the download included?.. thanks in advance

Ext4 is a type of file system. If you are wanting to convert to ext4, get 4ext recovery. There is a thread in the Mytouch 4g development forum with links and instructions. Are you using a ROM that supports ext4?

You're welcome. Did you get it worked out? There is a link for the site where you can download the free 4Ext app. Once the app is installed let it update and then download the newest RC (release candidate) of the recovery. Then flash the recovery and reboot into that baby! It has options for converting your filesystem. If you are on MIUI you're probably good already, but it doesn't hurt to check.

Juice defender works by turning off mobile data when the phone is asleep, among other things. It will turn data back on at certain intervals to allow emails, mms, and what-have-you. Juice defender ultimate gives you supreme authority over every detail of the profile. Its a good app, and it works. I used to get annoyed by the few extra seconds of waiting for data when I woke my phone up, but other than that its great. It does make a difference on the battery.

This visually bothers me in 2 threads already.
EXT4 is NOT an abbreviation for "extension 4". EXT4 is "4th extended file system".
Please stop calling it wrong, it's annoying, and it's especially annoying that people reply to you with correct name and you won't get the hint. Thank you.

Firstly, you're more than entitled to your opinion! But there's no need to respond in such a way. To be honest I could care less about what you feel is correct or incorrect because obviously these guys understood what I was asking and helped me along until I got everything right. Its ok to correct to someone but there are ways of going about doing it. So next time respond accordingly and stay in line because a simple correction would've sufficed!

Its actually my wifes phone. Ive tried clean rom and sleeper rom so far. Clean rom seems to freeze up occaisionally and sleeper rom froze up like every 5 min. Ill try your suggestions, thank you. It seems like the development for this phone isnt too up to date. I guess cause it id kind of old now. One question. Ive been doing full wipes, that is ok with this phone right? Ive noticed "no wipe" in some of the rom op.
Sent from my PG06100 using xda premium
A ROM with "No Wipe" in the OP just means it won't wipe your data when it installs.
It is always a good idea to wipe data, cache, and dalvik when flashing a new ROM.

Sorry to hear this LOL..........anywho The Peoples Rom should get you to where you want to be. MTD is a totally different animal if you ever have to go back to stock make sure to check repartition. MTD is where you want to be it is more stable in my opinion. Like someone else said always do a wipe unless you are updating from the same ROM like the nightlies for CM7. CM7 is butter both mine and my wife's Epics are on it and love it. The only reason neither of us are on CM9 is battery life.
Maybe ill try cm7. Sorry im an htc guy and i love it

Supposedly the codez(?) 3.0.62 and 3.0.64 don't have the overheating issue. Personally, I'm using 3.0.74 evervolv, but I rarely use headphones.
EDIT: Although, I'm still a noob and my kernels might be aosp and not sense... if there's even a difference...

Some phones get above 75°C. The temperature difference means little. What's important is whether or not it's within operating specs.

I was using TDJ's darkside v7, however I was randomly missing txt's from people, not sure if that's a kernel issue or rom issue.
Hi
I don't know something with my myTouch 4G. When the phone is in standby mode (screen off), it starts blinking rapidly and stop (2 or 3 times per second) ramdomly or when i touch the digitizer (alway in stanby mode only).
I noticed it happens when i use an ICS or Jelly Bean roms only. But with the stock or another customs Gingerbread roms, this issue disappears. Everything runs well.
I wonder if it's a general problem with ICS and JB on this phone and if it's possible to fix it?
