Thread is already there why creating new?
Note 2 4.3 firware fix issue Kies 3
I tried to download the new update on my Note II, the official firmware to further fix the 4.3 which I received last week..
PDA:MKD / PHONE:MK1 / CSC:MK1
it obviously did not happen on phone - the common error, maximum roll outs done. So I tried Kies 3 and after completing to 100 % and the 'downloading' message on my phone Kies tells me it does not recognize my phone and need to remove battery re-insert and try again! it took 3 hours to reach 100 % and then it tells me this which is not sensible. Suggestions?
Many thanks!

Froyo was live on keis on Friday, yet it still isn't showing up for me
Current Version : PDA:JG2 / Phone:JG1 / CSC: JF2
Anyone else upgraded officially from three
I will check that at home tonight. Will let you know in a few hours time.
It may take a while to get around to everyone.
I would wait a few hours and see if the update appears.
No update for me.
PDA: JG3 PHONE: JG1 CSC: GPG
"The device's version cannot be updated"
Hmm - There seems to be an update to Kies though. Wonder if it's related? Downloading now...
Oh well, updated Kies and still no Froyo update despite it having been 'available since Friday'
Same thing here ... got excited by the Kies update thinking I'll have Froyo afterwards
We'll just have to accept that Three are incompetent
I spoke to a Three Tele Team , He told me that It was a Beta Testing and got Out Mistakenly , And he confirmed its not Live at this Moment and he also confirmed that its coming out this Week Definetly ... and he told That you people will like the Froyo Update From Three ...
I dono if they also have people there like XDA , who do Lagfix and other Fixes .... Becz My Orignal 2.1 Three ROM had no LAG no , problems at all ....
Ah well, another day passes and no froyo for me, darnit!
Mmm now that would be lovely -- a fast stable Froyo I do experience lag from time to time -- esp sometimes when receiving a phone call ...

I get that sometimes......usually after three bottles of wine
Not sure whether anyone in this thread will be able to help, but I've got a Galaxy S on Three and am wondering how it'll react when Froyo finally arrives.
You see, in a fit of frustration last month when Samsung said 2.2 was out for the Galaxy S, then suddenly said it wasn't unless you were Norwegian - I tried the Kies registry hack.
That caused weirdness with my phone, and ended up with leaving it only starting in recovery mode. Eventually Kies decided to reflash, and I seem to have ended up with some kind of unbranded firmware.
It shows up in Kies as PDA:JM2/PHONE:JM1/CSC:JM1, and says "This device's version cannot be updated".
Anyone know whether the release of the Three version of Froyo will fix this?
Thanks!

You wont be able to upgrade with 3 unless you get your old software back and the only way i know possible is by using the kies registry patcher.

You are not alone I have been facing the same problem with updating kies.
Mine reports the update, downloads it 100% but download bar still reportsas 40% & then says internet connection lost want to retry?
I say yes! does the same looping over & over again. I have downloaded over 3-4 gb in name of kies update but it has never updated.
The most messed up program I have ever used is Kies, seems some dumb guys are developing this who do not even understand how computer works.
The solution would be not to update instead download the new version> uninstall the old version & install the newer version.
The screenshot shows it already has downloaded twice the amount of data what the update size is.

This seems to be a higher version than what kies is officially reporting as update v2.0.0.11032_12
The link you provided is downloading Kies_2.0.0.11033_25
Is it ok to install with I9003, hope nothing goes wrong further as i am already fed up with this stupid software.
Uninstalled the older version & reinstalled the new version all seems to be working till now, its reporting me a new Firmware update & I will try updating it too but I hope it doesn't loop again & again as it was doing last time.
_12 is actually newer than _25. _25-January build. _12=February build.

'ello geeks,
I know Kies has been infamous for just about every reason a piece of software can be..Perhaps before investing in S4 I should have gone through Kies reviews as well and not just phone's.
Anyway, the issue I am facing is since Samsung released the firmware upgrade for Galaxy S4 , I have been trying to upgrade via Kies (I do not have a wife router) and faced with below:
1. While it downloads the firmware data, it randomly shows phone's disconnected and I have to restart the download.
2. On one instances, it did go through the upgrade procedure completely but only firmware ID got updated as none of the features came in...on top of that ability to change unlock effect in settings got disabled for some reason. Post this I had reset the phone.
3. Another question is, for around 350 mb upgrade, Kies keeps on downloading 7 gb+ data,,,is this normal? and why would that be for?

Please let me know if you people have a different experience and whether anything can be done to mend it...or this is how the life with Kies is!
Thanks!
I am assuming that you are not rooted.
Try updating it manually via Odin
Download the official firmware file from here

And follow the step from here

Yes i checked the link also some other threads but there's no solution to the problem
Since i'n new to android, i dont know much about it. So please tell me which conditions are you referring to?
It seems that you are already running on KitKat (4.4.2). So there is no software update available. Also CheckFus doesn't work anymore. The description of the app says:
!! This tool no longer work due to changes from Samsung. A solution is being worked on! !!
Kies needs an update to say that you already have the latest firmware.
So no worries. Everything is fine
Hello,
I have a Galaxy S4 unlocked Argentina, model GT-9500 Android 4.3 baseband version I9500UBUEMK1
Two days ago, checking for OTA upgrades, I was surprised that a new upgrade was available (I think it was about 390 Mb), so I suppose it is 4.4.2 kitkat (great!).
However, I was not ready to accept the download at that time because my battery charge was not at full, then I canceled after a partial download.
Today, I´m ready to apply the upgrade, but ... it is not available anymore: I receive a message "The latest upgrades have been applied".
Is it that Samsung retired the upgrade, or that my phone "thinks" that it was upgraded because of that partial download ?? In such a case, how can I go back with my phone to the point before the partial upgrade download ?
Thank you very much.
Pablo.
Samsung haven't android 4.4.2 for ur device with CSC: Argentina. This update was a minor one that was installed for sure unknowingly. OTA or Kies 3 doesn't lie. Enjoy ur latest version till KitKat arrives :highfive:

Thank you for your feedback, but ... no, this upgrade was not applied since I have aborted its download. Also, I keep a screenshot of my "About device" to follow upgrades, and nothing have changed.
My oppinion is that there WAS an upgrade there, but it was removed.
I have checked SAMMOBILE for the kitkat upgrade for my country, and it is not available. However, in the past, the 4.3 upgrade was published OTA, and SAMMOBILE reported it a week later...
Anyone had the same symptom as me ??
