Hello. My phone is rooted and unlocked. It downloaded an update a few days ago that I have been avoiding but I don’t know how long that will last before I press install by accident.
Is there any way to delete the update in twrp or rom toolbox?
All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Before some one lights my keister up over this being a repeat I did search and did not find direct information.
I have 4.1.83 and want to upgrade to 4.5.91.
I have glad root installed. (I love it) And want to know what steps I need to take to get my phone ready to do the update.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I am stupid...
Forgot to unfreeze my bloat...
Updated last night now trying for root...
Hey guys. Sorry to be so helpless, but I currently need help changing up my phone. I have the Motorola Atrix (obviously) and it's currently running Gingerblur. It's rooted as well.
What I want to do is update my phone to a newer rom/kernel/ whatever. I would normally read the multiple guides available, but unfortunately, that isn't really an option for me right now. I recently was diagnosed with a concussion and it has greatly affected my language abilities. So, I'd really appreciate if someone could help me through the process.
Really, a recommendation for a ROM, how I would go about changing from Gingerblur to the new rom, and everything else would be so appreciated. Thanks for the help guys.
(PS. How's the iPhone-look-alike rom? Seems pretty neat. Thought I might to play around with that one. Thanks again guys.)

How would us giving you words that you couldn't understand from other posts help you?
Get iBlur if you love it. Unlock your bootloader. Install a custom recovery. Wipe. Install. Boot.
I'm sorry. I should have been more specific. It's understanding a lot of material and retaining it that is the problem mostly. And getting words out is hard as well. So, digging through everything to see what I need to do would be impossible, while shorter, tailored to me instructions are manageable.
Thank you for your response.

I hope this is the right place to post, if not I apologize and hope that someone can point me to the right forum to ask.
So I rooted my nexus 10 when I got it a few months ago and now it tells me there is a system update. I can't install the update at all. Is there a way to do this without losing root? I don't have any custom roms installed at all, just stock with root. Your help is appreciated!

Do you have a custom recovery installed? If so download and fastboot flash the stock recovery ----> https://www.dropbox.com/s/bikq8zz2i4p3bf1/recovery.img
Should let you OTA update after that.
Hello all, I did a quick search and did not find an answer, so I apologize if this was asked already. This is sort of a 2 part question.
First, I wanted to try out the official 4.4 on my D801 so I used THIS file to update without loosing root access. The only loss is it takes away your TWRP. Is there anyway I can get a recovery installed so I can switch between stock and custom? That would be awesome.
If its not possible, is there a way for me to downgrade so I can use ROM's again? I know its easy with a .kdz on a PC, but unfortunately (I really mean it, this sucks) I have a mac.
I really appreciate any help!
Thank you!

edit- here is another way to downgrade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625044) which some people have succeeded with the best of luck

Im already on 4.4 though, so Im more or less stuck then. I dont have a PC to downgrade with. Im on mac.
Ok. Im pretty new to the smartphone scene and I have very limited knowledge when it comes to this stuff.
I bought my Razr M in October of 2012. I love this phone has been an amazing piece of equipment for the last two years. Shortly after purchasing it, my friend talked me into rooting it and deleting a bunch of the factory firmeware/bloatware that i dont use (kinda wishing I didnt listen to him).
Ok, as everyone is well aware, the kitkat update became available this past may and , unfortunately, when my phone downloaded and tried to install it, it failed at 25%. Now everyday and every 12 hours since then, i get the update notice and everytime, it fails.
Just so anyone willing to help knows, my phone is rooted with a locked bootloader. The only thing I did was delete some bloatware.
PLEASE....Can someone please give me a step by step guide on what I need to do to install kitkat on my phone?
Use RSD_Lite to flash the current firmware.
Thank you very much for the response. I downloaded the most current version of RDS lite and also the current firmware. I've never used anything like RDL and I have to admit, I'm kinda nervous and I really dont want to fudge anything up when I do this. I was wondering if you could kinda give me a step by step guide to follow?
Again... I thank you for the help and I sincerly apologies for my ignorance.

Thank you very much. Your help is much appreciated!
I read the tutorial and it seems very straight forward. I just want to be clear tho. I'm going to be installing the current kitkat firmware for the RAZR M and not the old jelly bean?
