This is the upgrade from GRI40 - Good find!
If I'm completely stock, I just download, name it update.zip, boot into recovery, and choose apply update? Do I got that right?

For anyone who flashed the KB3 radio you'll need to flash back to KB1 for this update (it patches the radio).
Worked like a charm, thanks OP!

If you're unlocked just flash the SU binary via recovery. You don't need a special rooted version.

If you've flashed your radio manually to the KB3 radio then you can use the .zip from my previous post that contains the KB1 radio. Flash that in CWM and you're good to go. If you haven't manually replaced the radio then you have nothing to worry about.

How do I do that? I'm on Liquid Nexusbread rom, which is CM7 based. I also have the stock rooted 2.3.3 build (GRI40) saved as a backup.

What you said in those two posts are two different things. I'm sure Netarchy will release a compatible version with 2.3.4 shortly. He's usually really quick on these things.

Exactly. Root/install recovery. Install modem and upgrade without rebooting. Reboot and later flash root/recovery with odin.

Please be more clear... If your are already on a custom recovery and want to change for ex currently on cwm and want to change it to twrp just flash the twrp zip and reboot, done. (Though not sure as I am still confused about your question)
You just flash a new recovery using fastboot, same as you did flashing the first custom recovery
