I don't know if it is just me or is anyone else experiencing some problems with the latest update.
1- transferring data from windows barely hits around 7mbps use to get speeds of 12+mbps on the firmware which came with the phone
Using SanDisk UHS-1 64 gb... transfer speeds using adapter with card manages to get speeds of 12 mbps however when using imediashare streaming function... codecs are not recognised properly therefore leaves only audio without any video
2 - configuring adapt sound there is a constant ringing making it literally impossible to configure properly
3 - the overall speed of the phone seems to have decreased
I had reinstalled mj6 with kies which had no problems... applied the MJ7 as OTA update where majority problems started
I have tried a factory reset wiping everything including both internal and external memory cards
Any more problems I will report

I've had various issues with mj7 but judging by the lack of other people commenting, I assumed it was maybe just my phone. I've had crashes with the phone/dialler app, alarm clock failing and crashing after it failed. I've had the main system settings crash trying to adjust volume and other weird things. I'm running stock and unrooted. Going to try a factory reset later. My USB 3 transfers also seem slow.

I'm also on stock unrooted, don't know if it is just our phones or the firmware itself
So far I have not encounter any issues that you have mentioned. Overall improvement that I notice is better network coverage for both data and wifi and overall speed improvement. I also didn't encounter anyone reported the same issues as you did. My suggestion is try to download the full firmware from SamMobile and flash through PC Odin and see if it helps or not.

i got reboot twice, but I think it is caused by some games that does not go well with MJ7.
I uninstalled a few apps eg:nyan cat, tiny death star, and hope it fixed it.
I also have issues with MJ7 firmware, the main being massive battery drain because the phone sometimes doesn't fall into deep sleep while the screen is off.
A possible cause of the problem: switch off wifi when data are off.
So now I switch data on before turning wifi off.
How do you get MJ7? I'm on MJ4 and it says I'm up-to-date.

done this seems to have got rid most of the problems think ill update firmware through Odin only from now, thought it would have trip the counter in case i did something wrong
never really did like OTA not really a full firmware just a small patch
just having problems transferring FLAC files via MTP, sticks while transferring
Got the Mj7 OTA yesterdayevening, I still have reboots during phone calls. Not yet encountered reboots during no use, like with the Mj3. Hopefully the next will bring more stability

Installed the "official" update that was hosted on Google's servers, which worked like a charm... but...
The camera won't boot up? The phone doesn't seem to be running any faster thus far, even after moving all possible applications to the SD card. Also, the gallery shows no images.
When I hold down the camera button, or select the camera application, the phone vibrates once (to tell you the camera's booting up), the screen turns black, vibrates three times quickly, and flashes the force close screen instantaneously and returns to the home screen.
Hmmm....
I almost forgot to add: I still have the Touchwiz default issue, that is, the OS prompting me to set a default every so often when I hit the home button. I think I might have to wipe the phone.
I had similar problems so I wiped and did a clean install with Odin and now it works great!

weatherbug elite widget
i like the weatherbug elite app and widget, and for some reason the widget will not appear at all, since i updated.
I am in the process of backing up my stuff to do a factory reset to see if that solves the problem. I was waiting until this update was released before rooting. Is there an OCLF for this update?
i would suggest odining back to DI18 then odining http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853209 see if this fixes your problems, i have 0 bugs with DK28.
After the factory reset, everything is working okay. I noticed that some of the prompts have strange translations, particularly when accessing the Firmware Updater under the Camera's setting menu: "It will occur additional fee. Will you continue?" The functionality is debatable at this point considering it runs into an error upon updating. Hm.
I will try Odin some other time when I have a few hours to brush up on flashing. I am not very familiar with hacking mobile phones in general, so I want to be better acquainted with the process before I dive into it. But a lag fix and bloatware delete are certainly in this phone's future!
Browser is really buggy for me. It takes up 70MB of RAM on start up and has the terrible checker boards effect.
GPS works perfectly for me on DK17 and 28.
However, it may be that I restored my data partition from a backup I made from DK17. I'll try running a factory reset and we'll see what happens.
I've noticed that when using on screen keyboard for a quick seach online, the on screen keyboard will not go away when pressing the back button sometimes. Anyone else?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I've still had some issues with the back button being unresponsive, perhaps to a lesser extent since Froyo, but I have gotten so used to it I can hardly acknowledge the problem based on recollection of testing the phone.
However, I noticed the Quadrant scores are very disappointing in both my own test and in user comments. I can't wait to root and lagfix this thing.
In addition, the physical keyboard still drops letters at random. It seems to have gotten worse since the update.

You mean root and artificially increase your Quadrant scores for bragging rights? There is no lag fix on the epic. The only "lag fix" is a "game Quadrant scores" fix.

I've got the same error with MediaHub. Looking for a Froyo apk now.
GPS is working fine for me - I had a 100% stock 2.1 that I did update.zip to Froyo. I hadn't even installed any apps or even loaded up my Google account. Literally bought the phone, waited for provision, then updated to Froyo.
What version of Media Hub are you running? Mine is working fine.

I had the issue you described on 4.2.2 but not so far with 4.3, only time will tell. I'm getting random YouTube app freezing but these do not appear to be WiFi related. I flashed the 4.3 update over my existing 4.2.2. Stock image so have a different base then yours.
No problem with WiFi, it also seems more stable now.

As others have said, I've found my wifi reception/stability has improved with the 4.3 image. My older 802.11b hotspot didn't work with the N10 reliably before the upgrade to 4.3, regularly dropping the connection. Now it works fine, and always at full "bars" reception.
My 5Ghz 802.11n AP worked fine before, and still works fine now.
Hi, I too have had poor wifi on my wife's nexus 10 since 4.3.
Every night for last couple months my wife and I have played ticket to ride in in bed. From the moment she reset it to apply the 4.3 update (between games) she has suffered from dropouts and the game continually disconnects. Was running perfectly for months until this update was applied.
Given that she updated between games and we noticed the issue immediately after the update I am sure there is a change for the worse in the wifi configuration under android 4.3.
I am also experiencing wifi issues with the stock 4.3 update. No SoD so far like with 4.2.2 but since 4.3, wifi quality will degrade when I am using it heavily. I will still have 2-3 bars but the connection will slow to a crawl until I toggle wifi off/on. (I feel I should add: quality router, multiple devices without issues) The only thing I have done to this ROM is chainfire root. It seems some have the issue and some don't. I'll prob try and install again tonight to see if it helps.
I have been experiencing a loss in internet connectivity after 1-2 hours of inactivity now that I am on 4.3. The WiFi icon turns gray but stays connected to the router. I rebooted the router, but no help. I have advanced settings set to WiFi always on. I had WiFi optimization on, and am now testing to see if things change with it off. I never had any connectivity problem with 4.2.2 and nothing else has changed. If this keeps up, I may flash back to 4.2.2 till things get better.

I ended up using an app called safe charge that seemed to do the trick. What were the other causes or fixes for this? I just wanted to go stock for a bit while AOKP and CM get the 4.3 builds up and running so i would have a reference to compare the performance and stability to.
I have filed a bug report for this here https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=58206&thanks=58206&ts=1375129699

The leading causes of sleep of death issues are:
The CPU governor uses hotplugging, the majority of the users on this tablet get SoD with hotplugging on
Voltage was tweaked a bit lower and is not enough to run your CPU properly
You are running Franco's R12 kernel which has a very widely known SoD issue.
It is also possible that the version of the AOKP kernel you may have been running had the same tweak that Franco did and was also causing a SoD. 90% of the time when someone has a sleep of death issue on this tablet it is because of something from the kernel that is causing the issue, you can try out KTManta or Trinity kernel (also both of them have beta kernels available for 4.3).

Since DOK2 is new and there are several hopes from many of the new firmware, I figured it would be best to make a thread about it.
To those on DOK2 (Especially 100% stock, i.e. stock kernels), please post your feedback.
One of the main things to look for is directed at FingerPrint unlock users.
After enabling FingerPrint unlock does the phone randomly lock itself?
Does the FingerPrint crash / TouchWiz crashes?
(This should be apparent with in the first 24 hours of enabling the FingerPrint lock)
The next main thing to look for is just general issues after the phone being on for some time. This would indicate memory management issues and would show up after hours / days with out a restart.
Are you loving the new Firmware? Post about that too!
Your feedback is valuable so please take the time out to post your experiences with DOK2.
Thanks!
I'm loving the new firmware. The phone "feels" faster in switching between applications.
The fingerprint lock-screen bug is gone (for me). Memory management has improved drastically. The only thing that is the same is the battery life in power saving mode. The update is worth it for me, so I'm not as eager as I was before to get marshmallow as I was before.
Note: This phone has never been rooted
I got the update and noticed a few bugs here and there. I fully wiped twice and it resolved everything. It's smoother, faster, same battery life, keyboard and fingerprint bugs fixed. I really like it so far. It runs like it should. I'm a happy camper now.
I've never rooted, full stock.
Remember to go to options > storage and clear your cache after updating! From COG2 to DOK2 I have never had fingerprint unlock issues. If anything it seems more accurate and faster. There is more ram I fall between 1.7-1.8gb (instead of ~2gb) used when everything is cleared. There has been no random reboots since the update. There is no more weather widget re-sizing itself and black shadowed font while scrolling through home screens. My antutu score went from 52000 to 48000 though. I am 100% stock never been rooted.
I've heard tell that you can't downgrade your bootloader back to COG2 after installing DOK2 update. Any word on this? Even through Odin?
^Even if you can't, why would you want to? 5.1.1 is better in every way from 5.0.1

sub? I assume you mean usb.. Did you wipe/reset everything? Even though this is an official update dirty flashing is dirty flashing. Wiping is still a troubleshooting step.
Love it so far.
The one thing that I have noticed is that the task switching is much faster. When I used to press the button, it would take a few seconds to load, now it's pretty much instantaneous.
I tried turning on the fingerprint unlock, but I was still having too many swipes to get it to unlock, so I turned it back off.

That is a must. My fingerprint scanner (when not crashing) works flawlessly. I never have had a problem with swipes.

Data speeds are much improved with the update. The device is snappier also. I haven't noticed a difference in GPS - seems about the same as before the update. Haven't had time to gauge battery life fully but that also seems improved.
Over all a very well put together update. I'm pleased.

You need custom kernel to be able to root. Flash BeastMode Kernel by @freeza.

Since the August update I have observed that the Gallery hangs very often and the pics dont show up immediately. Also the phone in general lags while unlocking. Earlier i used to think its because of the update. But whenever i remove the sd card it works fine. I am using a 64 GB Sandisk 80 mbps class 10 card. Could it be because of the card? Dont wanna spend another 1600 Rs for a card only to find that the problem isnt solved .
Should i try using Samsung card?

I forgot to precise it is SM-G935FD. I suspected OTA updates at first and I tried factory resetting the Stock ROM through stock recovey multiple times but the lag reappears either immediately or after a few days (without installing new apps). I then decided to root it and flash superman ROM latest version (with SupeSU, Xposed and magisk and with SuperKernel), it got fixed and then for whatever reason it reappeared again. Now I've tried clean installing the same ROM and following the same steps without any luck.
Hello there,
So I've got some updates on this lag that may help others :
-First, it doesn't matter if you're on stock or on custom ROM.
-It has nothing to do with SD cards or LTE network.
-A simple reboot or powering off/on makes the lag disappear momentarily.
-A clean falsh (with smart switch) can help but doesn't make the problem go away indefinitely, I'm not sure why. It still happens after that but a lot less frequently.
-I've narrowed down the bug to Google play Services, anything that it has permissions to access can cause the bug to reappear, installing apps, downloading contents through apps, making a phone call and sometimes taking a picture/deleting it... Etc.
-disabling Auto-updates in Play Store, proved rather helpful.
-Finally, I think that Samsung will fix this lag, intentionally or not, with the Nougat update since it is apparently a compatiblity issue with the latest Google play services updates.
In my experience, doing a clean flash, disabling Auto-updates both in Settings and Play Store makes the lag less frequent. Powering off/on solves it when it does occur occasionally.

I am also facing the same problem after upgrading to Android N, but I have not find any solution yet.

First thing i'd try if it was mine, if you haven't already, is a factory reset. Between Googles backup and Samsungs backup you can get it pretty much back the way you had it before resetting. I always make sure to do a fresh backup using both Google and Samsung first. Then Factory reset. Full restore using google when system asks which backup you want to use, use the latest one you just made of course, then restart and do the Samsung restore through Samsung cloud on top of Googles. I usually get all apps and Data restored without missing much. Home screens and widgets are restored. It's almost like i didn't do a reset at all. If it's still Laggy, then factory reset again and don't restore it. See how it works then. That way you're not restoring any App or setting that could've been causing your issue. It looks like you've been around here about 10 years so this all may be nothing new to you, but this is how i would do it.
Factory reset doesn't seem to help according to reports about rhis update.
Okay well flash in Odin and use CSC to perform a full wipe on the device... See if you still have the same issue. Consider Frija or Samfirm
People report it's something to do with the WiFi drivers, try switching it off and use mobile data to see if it persists

i dont really want to use the factory reset option because you wont know which app causing the problem.
im trying disabling app by app. so far i guess theres also something wrong with the fingerprint driver. i have a feeling the lagging always starts with fingerprint then it causes the whole system lagging and freezing.
maybe the optimize battery usage feature is way too aggressive? it freezes the fingerprint service while system tries to wake it up then it causes an endless loop and end up with a memory leak?? just blindly guessing so pls correct me if am wrong.

Workaround for this is to switch off WiFi as there is some problems with the WiFi certificates.
Use Mobile data for the internet connection and you will not face any laggyness or issues.

can you try leaving wifi on but not using wifi (not connect to any networks) and leave it for some time.? i think it has something to do with wifi when its not in use.

It was like that plenty of time, just for test i forgot my work wifi network and 3 hours passes and still works perfect.
BTW people with problem, do you remember in developer options if there was before this update option to enable hardware acceleration for modem?
Could you for test try disable that option and reboot phone, or enable if it was disabled...just a hunch..
I had troubles with google app not responding at all and whole system became extremely laggy. Disabling bixby all together fixed problem. Now phone feels smooth and responsive even battery life has improved.
I ve read on sammobile that a new update rolls out to fix the bugs. So you better check for OTA. I am still on april

the new fw (AES6) rolls out to my phone today. and looks like they got it fixed. no more lag & freeze so far.
I was hesitant about applying the new update for the May patch because of all the issues everybody with reporting. I've had this update applied for about 4 hours now and so far there's no issues at all. I wonder if it's affecting every device or just a few. Anyone know if the updated fix has rolled out to unlocked Canadian devices?
