[Q] Unlocked LG G2 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I bought a LG G2, and its unlocked on verizon will it still work on tmobile or att if the owner calls in and makes it a bad esn ?
Sorry if this had been reposted i tried to look for a similar thread

I was wondering if it works on T-Mobile with a good ESN?

Now why would the owner call in and make it a bad esn, are you not the owner if you bought it?

From what I understand, the Verizon variant is unlocked out of the box, meaning it should work if the phone picks up the right GSM bands.

[Q] Unlocked T-Mobile G2 on Sprint or Verizon?

If I unlocked my T-Mobile G2 (via this thread, FWIW), will it work on Sprint? I'm assuming it won't on Verizon, but thought there might be a chance on Sprint. I apologize if this is a dumb question, but can't seem to find a clear answer anywhere. TIA!
The answer is NO.

No. Sprint and Verizon are CDMA carriers and T-Mobile is a GSM carrier, not compatible. Your T-Mobile device does not have the necessary CDMA hardware to work on Sprint or Verizon.

No, it will not work. You have GSM phone but Sprint uses LTE network.
But we could switch our phones if you want Sprint G2! I need the GSM variant but accidentally bought the Sprint Are you interested?

No and No way.
Blacklisted.
All you can do it use it with a carrier other than what it was designed for. If you bought a T-Mobile one I believe you can use it with Verizon or AT&T or vice versa.

Question regarding G2 and Bad Esn sprint one.

After reading stuff i figured that all G2's are world phones.
Im From india and my question is that if i get a G2 of ebay sprint one with a bad ESN, since it cant be activated on sprint again which is a given.
Now my question is can buy the phone and use it with a regular GSM sim card from india ?
If yes what would i need to do to use the phone if it has a Bad ESN.
Any kind of answer would be helpful thanks a ton
Help
I don't think a Sprint G2 would work in India, sorry. Sprint is a US carrier and uses CDMA instead of GSM. However, the international D802 model should work fine. The ESN is attached to the phone and not the carrier anyway, so no matter what carrier your on it won't activate.
The Sprint G2 is not factory unlocked for international GSM usage. It is an international capable device though (GSM 850/900/1800/1900). If the seller is not specifically stating that the phone has been unlocked for international use then it will not work in India. Only Sprint can unlock the phone and if your not the owner of the phone with an active line with Sprint they wont unlock it for you plain and simple. I would recommend to save your self a big hassle and buy the international G2 D802.

No problem, I forgot to mention that the Verizon G2 is factory unlocked for GSM service. You could buy a BAD ESN Verizon G2 and put in your India GSM sim card and it would work with no unlocking necessary. I'm not sure what band you need for LTE, but HSPA+ should work.

Can i unlock BAD ESN LS980 to use with GSM?

Hello guys! I have a little problem. I win LG G2 at ebay, but as seller told me, it's BAD ESN.
I don't need to use it in USA. I live in Russia, and i just need GSM and 3g support. My question is:
Can i unlock this phone and use in my country? Will i feel the difference between BAD ESN and CLEAN ESN in my country?
Really thank you!
There is no difference for you. GSM and 3g will be worked after softunlock.

ESN are used by CDMA carriers like Verizon or Sprint. Verizon now uses the IMEI number. Verify the IMEI isn't blocked and you're fine.
thanks friends for help
