I tried applying the modded framework res apk with the translucent bars using the root explorer method. I got a bootloop and I dont want to reset. I had no backup (I know stupid). Can someone give me the stock framework res apk. I think I can adb push it to system/framework and that should fix it maybe. Anyone have another idea. Help would be appreciated thanks. Im currently running stock kitkat with stock kernel and rooted with twrp recovery if that helps at all.
well nevermind i couldnt wait and just adb flashed system

tried to update to 4.2.2, failed on first attempt (because I've changed to build.prop lcd density)
downloaded an original version here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1783152
tried to update again and failed. reboot and now it's stuck at the glowing X boot screen.
is there any way for me to replace the build.prop with my old one and get it started again?
I guess you should manually reflash system.IMG
(or you should've not play with things like that. It's better to edit density with ROM toolbox - at least it can keep a backup of original build.prop file)
was able to use nexus 7 toolkit to boot it into TWRP
used the file manager to remove the build.prop and restored the edited one.
lost root and could sideload new update cause debuggerd was messed up for some reason.
got new stock build.prop (thanks again Omar04) and found a stock debuggerd.
able to sideload new update, root still messed up.
finally used supersu to clear root. push supersu.zip and installed it in twrp.
root restore.
damn, this stupid update wasted alot of my time
So over the weekend I tried to do the update from mj7 and it failed. I was thinking it was because of xposed framework so I did some uninstall and reinstall of xposed and then got to the point where it was softbricked at the verizon logo.
I was lucky enough to be able to boot into softstrap and push a new framework-res and get back into the os but was getting a lot of forced closes, mostly when I'd open my gmail and actually click on a message, that would never open up and I'd get the FC.
So I dl'd beans and loaded it up (great rom by the way) but I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get my issue resolved on the stock rooted mj7.
I was in a similar boat where i screwed my framework-res.apk. If you took a nandroid backup of MJ7 you should be able to restore just the system partition.
On another note if you want to update to MJE without wiping you can OTA via Kies. It will rebloat and deroot but you can Kingo root and debloat again.

Hello everyone!
I'm facing an issue from a couple of days and would really appreciate some help.
I am running Dr.Ketan rom V3 on my N910G.
I'm rooted but unable to modify anything in the system folder.
The phone just freezes and reboots.
I'm posting this thread here because I have the same issue on stock NK3 firmware aswell. I use Xposed framework with greenify and waman xposed. Any app that accesses the system/app or any other system folder causes the phone to reboot (also the phone vibrates twice when that happens) I have given proper r/w permissions, tried a clean flash, wiped everything re-rooted and so on. Also any modifications in system folder from TWRP also fails.
I really appreciate some help/guidance on this.
Hi everyone,
I have a s4 Active sgh i537. I want to have Lollipop and Xposed installed. To this end I flashed it back to Kitkat, towelroot'd it, flashed the I537_OC7_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed_ROM to preserve the root. I've tried to use the recovery option that comes with the rom to flash the Xposed framework and install the apk but Xposed said that the framework wasn't installed. Figured that the rom doesn't come with a custom recovery. Then I tried afterwards to flash the framework using flashfire the same way I flashed lollipop. The att splash screen load and got stuck for over 6 hours.
I'm going to try reflashing kitkat and starting over but I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Xposed framework SDK21 arm v86: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk21/arm/
Edit 1: went through again and I learned I needed the touchwiz Xposed Framework. Installed and my phone now can run Lollipop and install Xposed
New question regarding adb. I'm trying to install MicroG and I can't seem to connect adb and my phone together to remove the /system/priv-app/ and /system/app/ prerequisites any help with this would be extremely helpful

I am also facing the same issue, Done some research and most probably it's due to magisk 13.4. Now latest 14.4 is out so trying to update it so I can use Xposed.
Are you able to overcome it ?
