Installation:
copy the file to /system/media
rename it to bootanimation.zip
set permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--)

looks fine to me.
I'm guessing he means gradient banding. As of now this can't be fixed easily.

No one knows how to fix it yet that's why he said it can't be fixed now.

That's just the ICS Easter Egg animation. And no, you are not the first to find it.
The GB one is a drawing of a Gingerbread man and Andy, ICS is this, and JB is a little jellybean flicking game thingie.
It's referred to usually as the "daydream" easter egg. Android 4.2, I believe, comes with a new daydream feature. It's essentially just a screensaver.

No worries. And I would guess that it can't be set as a background or Live wallpaper but there are a ton of smart dudes on xda that may be able to figure that out.

I tried changing the color of the lockscreen time, and it looks like they are 9 png's. Im not able to edit those yet.. I will be learning some new things in the next few weeks. When I figure it out I will post here.

I have heavily tested this theme on Paranoid SaberDroid (PA-based) , tested on CM11 too ,however not as much as on PSD.
