I'm not sure that I get this lack of support thing people are all talking about. This is the most robust community of support and development I've ever seen for a handset this soon after release. This is my perspective coming from the HTC Aria, Samsung GS-II, and LG Optimus G. Look at the number of threads and ROM's out already...simply ridiculous to this point. You guys are already over-spoiled in my mind coming from the Optimus G. I wish we had this kind of support. What really matters is the quality of support, not the volume. Also, as info, I'm not the developer here, I'm trying to help bring you guys together but he does kick ass work.

Bump...

Houstonn:

im hoping i dont need kernel changes yet or alot
but i will have to change a bunch of display stuff
Here's the download folder link, just find your version and the most current date (d803): http://downloads.codefi.re/houstonn/me/test/

[ROM][Port][JRN84D] For Nexus S

Hello there!
I have ported the Jelly Bean to Nexus S from the Galaxy Nexus ROM (JRN84D).
I was earlier trying the SDK port but found it lags a bit (Some times too much!). So thought of porting the Galaxy Nexus ROM. Here is the result!
Before all, A big thanks to DaxMax and Steve676!
Whats working:
GSM/Calls
Audio
WiFi
Bluetooth
GPU
Camera
NFC
SDcard
USB
Google Now (Well it seems! Some one please confirm)
Automatic Brightness
It is soooo smooth!
Whats Not:
Not sure, I did not test it so much. Please let us know.
Camcorder do not work it seems.
One more interesting fact I found out with the Jelly Bean. You can boot to Safe Mode!!! Yes, You can! Press and hold the power down key
and again press and hold the Power Off menu. Look at the screen shots! It will disable all the user application at boot!
Since I do not have permission to post in development thread, I did it here. And I do not find any need to move this thread to Dev section,
since it is only few days before we get the OTA. Also I may not get time to work on it, and add some more fixes (if needed). Looks like
it can be a daily driver for me till OTA comes
But every one is welcome to expand this ROM.
Enjoy!

Thanks dude. Will back up and flash now.

Just my 0.02, but it is possible, and the fact that the One and S4 have the same processor would make it even easier than my port was

To start with, you guys would need at least a semi-stable AOSP rom to pull parts from.

DSIXDA Android Kitchen Support? Aroma support?

As of yesterday i have officially gotten the Galaxy Note 3 in my hands! With that being said i am now going to start development and try and get an awesome ROM out to you guys! Before i start i must know if DSIXda's android kitchen works with this device. And also if Aroma Installer is supported with this device. Really looking forward to start development and get a few Roms out there for you guys but i gotta know this first. Also feel free to let me know what you would like to see in a ROM, especially what kind of theme. My ROMs do have a history of having some kick a** sound mods in them so do expect that!

well, your reasoning might be good. Is it the Samsung crapware on the bootloader? I am not being funny, it's just that your answer was very brief and I couldn't see whether you had done any dev work on your member profile. If you have a particular and valid reason I would be interested because I am just learning and atm trying to figure out how to complile a cm11 for n3 9005 model.

LG Official 4.4 build info?

http://www.zpsjbbs.com/thread-6172-1-1.html
Looks like LG is busy building 4.4 out.
I am searching for a beta that I can download and convert for ROM for us to use...
Thanks to Chippah for Droid-Life news post for pointing out article.
If anyone can read Chinese or figure out how to download the KDZ please let me know
We've known about this for a while now. The site is a pay site. The Rom is Korean. I'm not sure if it was helpful or not. I remember reading somewhere that it wasn't helpful for porting to other devices. Especially since this is a few weeks old and I haven't heard any more movement on it or any breakthroughs in KitKat porting.

If he was so worried about losing his job than maybe he should have not sent it out
If you want to keep it to yourself for whatever reasons that is fine.
I was just looking for a few files too see if the compass issue on the 4.4 builds could be fixed...
Can you at least post the lib, etc and vendor folders?

+1000.. If he was worried about losing his job, he wouldn't send it it.. If u were to ask me OP,I personally think starfighter and whoever else has it doesn't want to share as they want the prestige of building the first official/unofficial ROM... It's not worth arguing with them.. It's hard to explain sharing to a 17 year genius ... I'm not gonna argue more as it will turn into a personal slugging match.. Back to work now..

We are indeed working on a stock 4.4 build. We are running into issues getting it to boot. We've enlisted a few other devs to lend us a hand.
So why not post it up so more devs can try to fix it up? If you guys are going to post it anyway why not have others try too?

We have devs like BigFau, Vertigo, Houstonn and theDroidFanatic. That is enough. We promised not to leak this so we aren't breaking that promise

People tend to forget there are a lot more people with knowledge about developing and fixing roms. But most of them have a job and can't update a rom like Starlighter. There is simply no time for that. But they can help out fixing a KDZ base (Korean/verizon).
When it's available for everyone with knowledge it will be booting a lot faster.

Exactly. I was asked not to share and I'm a man of my word.
AndroidUser, what's your knowledge with kernels. That is the last key element
