SM-N9009 Original Room - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need help pls, if someone have SM-N9009 can u backup ur original room use cwm and send link to me?
I have bought n9009 from china telecom and dont know if sim 1 (cdma) is lock or unlock (not try 1st before root). after root and install gapps my sim 2 (gsm) work fine but sim 1 (cdma) still searching signal.
pls help T.T
Note : I have tried flash original room from sammobile usig odin still no luck

I have a new one but I don't know how to do any of that.
Saw your profile coz I want to unlock my phone and allow google applications to work.
Right now it's full of Chinese apps that I don't really need.
Are you also trying to do the same thing?
I do think SIM1 is locked to Telecom. On the SIM1 slot there is "China Telecom" written on it.
And usually Telecom would not allow other sims to their phones, but because this is dual sim, the GSM slot is an exception.
If you can teach me how to do backup and cwm etc. I might be able to help u.
Also.... PLEASE HELP ME TO GET GOOGLE APPS WORKING
Are you in China? I am in Shenzhen.

from what I know, all phones coming from China Telecom is lock to their sims.
N9009 has two sim slots. SIM slot 1 for China Telecom SIM. SIM slot 2 for other GSM sims.
SIM 1 which is for CDMA SIM is only for China Telecom.
They even have Telecom's name in Chinese on the SIM slot.
I don't think using China Telecom SIM first to activate the phone will do the trick to use it with other sim elsewhere.
I read somewhere that only European and American bought phones have this "activate" feature.
As far as I know, all my friend's Telecom phones are locked to Telecom sims.
You can use the GSM sim slot for other region sims as long as they are GSM networks not CDMA.
The chinese may have some tricks to unlock the SIM slot 1 (CDMA). I'll let you know if I have news on this in the future.
It's my first time to buy a phone in China and rooting my phone is like a nightmare to me.
Going crazy not being able to have Play Store on my N9009 phone, it beats the purpose of syncing through my Google account.
Are you by chance also in Shenzhen? Can you help me root my phone? THanks

But doesn't work. Is it the same with your phone? Were you able to root your N9009?

First, the firmware on sammobile and the firmware on anyone else phone are the same.
And the second is flashing the firmware will not unlock your phone (if it was locked).

Your digging around has misled you. The GT-I9505 has 2100MHz support for 3g, as noted here, here, and here. It also has 2100MHz support for LTE. So something else is causing your issue. Are you certain your phone isn't in fact getting an LTE signal instead of 3G?

Based upon the information you've provided, you're on the Baltic Black Edition firmware (CSC SEB). The firmware here though doesn't appear to be the problem. The problem is that you need to clear up some confusion here. You're saying you can't get LTE, are using unbranded firmware, yet your phone is locked to a carrier.
In an attempt to clear up things, please provide us with the missing information below, and confirm any already provided information is correct.
1. Model Number
Answer: GT-I9505, based upon the title of the thread.
2. Android Version, found by going to Settings > More > About device.
Answer: 4.4.2, based upon the firmware information.
3. Firmware Version (AP, CP, CSC), found by dialing *#1234# in the dialer or by installing and running Phone Info from the Play Store.
Answer: AP and CP I9505XXUGNJ8, CSC I9505YXXGNK1, which using the sammobile.com firmware checker links to the Baltic Black Edition firmware.
4. Service Provider
5. Country
6. Is the phone rooted? (Yes/No)
7. Is a custom ROM installed? (Yes/No, and the name of the ROM)
Answer: No, if you're able to pull up the firmware version via *#1234#.
You seem extremely knowledgable on this subject, would you mind if i picked your brain ???? Ive been having a similar problem:

NOS (formerly PT Multimedia, ZON Multimedia and ZON Optimus). You will have to flash the latest firmware for your locked device. Download, unzip and flash this firmware via ODIN: HERE.
thanks but as i said before, i've tried many stock firmware, including that... that was te first one because i also thought that was something related to simlock
i will send the phone to warranty, or try at least
@Joku1981: If I didn't have to work today I would have told him the same thing.
@monteiro-ribas: If you intend on having the phone swapped out, you might want to flash the correct firmware that Joku1981 provided the link to before sending the phone in. I do hope you let us know if you get your issue resolved and whether it actually was the phone or, alternatively, the service.

My original post in modems:
Ok guys, my kingdom for a solution, please !!!
Here's the deal, I have a samsung galaxy S4 GT-I9505 bought in hong kong, worked flawlessly for over a year on Telcel Mexico network, took a trip overseas to France bought a sim put it in the phone, worked great !!!!, came home put in my original sim and since then my S4 has been unable to maintain a stable 3g connection, usually connects for a under a minute and reverts back to edge. I've tried many different things recommended on this and other forums:
1.- removing/replacing sim card
2.- removing/replacing battery for over 4 hrs
3.- tried different sim cards from different carriers with same result
4.- wipe and clean install with different firmwares
5.- installed cyanogenmod latest
6.- under network modes, tried selecting every combination of lte, 3g, 2g, automatic network registration and selecting my preferred network.
7.- tried flashing over 30 different modems
8.- flashed latest firmware from sammobile specific to my phone (I9505ZHUFNL1_I9505ZZHFNL1_TGY)
9.- took it to a "technician" and he managed to return my phone in the exact same condition with the exception that now the wifi didnt work (i managed to fix this on my own)
10.- installed advanced signal status from play store which gave acces to other goodies such as selecting radio band between automatic, europe and usa, tried everyone of them with no solution.
Tried to be as thorough as possible, hope someone out there has a solution. I thank you all for your time and experience. Happy Holidays !!!!! I hope I am posting in the correct area, i searched and found this is the place where my problem seems to be discussed
P.D. Since im flashing GPE right now the screenshots no longer reflect what im on but I do have a nandroid back up of this rom and I am about to restore it.
Hope I was thorough, thanks for any help

Will an S7 Edge (T-Mobile) work on Verizon?

Hello all,
I want to switch to Verizon but I don't have a verizon sim to test my phone, I just got it unlocked through the unlock app. I've also read this post,

but there is no confirmation if he found a solution.
any feed back would help.
Well i live in Mexico, but i own a galaxy s7 edge from tmobile and to try nougat i installed first the Verizon version, and it work well, the only issue was to setting the data configuration, now i use the At&t nougat and everything still even more perfect (the verizon nougat have a lot of little bugs)

Using a Tmobile S7 Edge going to Verizon won't work cause of a few reasons.
1. TMOBILE S7 and S7 edge are not built for CDMA networks that uses certain bands and network. Along with the security of CDMA networks.
2. There is no band 13 on tmobiles S7 and S7 Edge. Even you were to unlock it.
But going from CDMA to GSM most phones work due most of the hardware and software is already built in the phone.

I can confirm this. Yes, your unlocked T-mobile S7/Edge will work with Verizon network if you flash the U firmware. I'm currently using my unlocked T-mobile S7 Edge with the U-firmware on the Verizon network. Voice, text, data work fine. No issues for me.

You can flash the stock Tmobile ROM or the U firmware. The only reason I got a new S7 when I jumped from big red was I had a huge scratch on my screen. I was running the U firmware when I went into tmobile and used the girls sim card from her phone to prove I could do it...

OK, so I have a question. I'm also trying to move from t-mobile to Verizon but I'm trying to keep my same phone. My phone is already paid off and i currently running t-mobile's SM-G935U over SM-G935T. But a couple of days ago i asked a friend to let me barrow his verizon sim card to test it out. But received a message saying "Invalid sim Card" "network locked SIM card inserted." Did i messed up something during the installation of the SM-G935U?

OK, so I have a question. I'm also trying to move from t-mobile to Verizon but I'm trying to keep my same phone. My phone is already paid off and i currently running t-mobile's SM-G935U over SM-G935T. But a couple of days ago i asked a friend to let me barrow his verizon sim card to test it out. But received a message saying "Invalid sim Card" "network locked SIM card inserted." Did i messed up something during the installation of the SM-G935U?

You need to UNLOCK your phone. It might be a Tmobile phone and running G935U software...but the sim is still locked to T-Mobile. Here is Tmobile unlock page information. you can request unlock in the T-mobile app or by calling T-Mobile....then it should see the Verizon sim and load up just fine once the phone itself is not locked to T-Mobile only sims. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1588
And for anyone else looking at this forum, There is no physical difference in hardware from a SM-G935T phone and a SM-G935U phone. Samsung actually made the hardware the same for all US Variants it is just the software that is different. And not that you would want too but you could load other carriers software on your phone if you wanted too(IE- running Verizon software on a SM-G935T, or ATT or SM-G935U (Stock Samsung Software) The only problem Running SM-G935U is they haven't upgraded the unlocked us phones to 7.0 yet. Where T-Mobile and other carriers already have nougat out.
The SM-G935U software however has all the US and even some Chinese LTE bandwidths enabled, and it also enabled the CDMA bandwidths to be used on the SM-G935 phones...hence why it will work with Verizon, Sprint, and even US Cellular if you can get them to put it on the account.*(I haven't dealt with US Cellular in years and with the new laws on moving phones from carrier to carrier in the US they might not have any issue with Bring your own phone to US Cellular anymore I do not know!)

I can confirm this. Yes, your unlocked T-mobile S7/Edge will work with Verizon network if you flash the U firmware. I'm currently using my unlocked T-mobile S7 Edge with the U-firmware on the Verizon network. Voice, text, data work fine. No issues for me.

Had you flash any ROM before via Odin?. If so, you will only need to download the verizon firmware (sammobile.com) and flash those files. if not > Open odin (Attached) load all the files accordingly (AP, BL, CP, CSC) in ODIN> put your phone download mode ( pressing fingerprint button + volume down + power) > connect phone to PC > Once all files are ready in ODIN hit start. You will get the success message and phone will boot.

Exit completely ODIN (make sure you run it as administrator), repeat the process and make sure all files are uploaded (AP takes a long time to upload) make sure to use the CSC file label as HOME_CSC. Try to flash again.

Does the phone have to be unlocked before adding these files or does it matter?

If you are going to use a verizon sim, you will need to have it unlocked. Firmware flash won't sim unlock/lock the phone.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought I was gonna be waiting months. I got it tho. The home csc file wasn't working so I used the other one that reset the phone to stock. It was g935u firmware for tracfone from T-Mobile if that helps anyone in the future.

Great it worked.
I flashed the tracfone rom and everything is working well. I got a software update notification. Should ignore it or is it ok to update?
Bumping the thread...sorry guys. I just jumped ship from Verizon and went to Tmobile today with my S7 Edge along with my wifes S7 Edge. Can I flash her phone with the U firm from TMobile and is the U firmware from tmobile the same U firm that is provided to Verizon? Jist wondering. I've used Odin plenty and understand flash process.

Why my S7 edge in product name says G935F and in product model says G935FD

I have a problem, when i intall Nougat, my cellphone says that is dual sim, and its single sim, and in product model in settigs, the model is G935FD, and the imei is the incorrect from the back of the phone, and when i enter the code *#06# nothing happen, help me how to fix this problem.

With what you will install nougat? Odin or ota?
There are 2 possibilities:
1. Smartphone already installed csc not your region, this sometimes causes the code to malfunction
2. You have supercopy (hopefully not).
Try to use odin, will be caught later results

Try again to flash nougat firmware for your country.
In the meantime, take a look at the imei information via setting. There is 1 or 2. more importantly see physically, have how many card slot sim

Sometimes using SmartSwitch emergency recovery can solve the problem. Try it that way. If that does not work, maybe someone else knows better who can help you

Not registered or emergency calls only Samsung note 3 n900

Hello, I have Samsung Note 3 n900 model,
I have a problem with the SIM, all the time writing is not registered on the network or emergency calls only.
My solutions:
1. I tried with some different sims.
2. Reset to factory settings.
3. Reinstall version.
4. Enter the SIM settings and experiment with several options.
5. Turn on and off flight mode.
It should be noted that imei appears correctly, and the device is simfree.
The device detects that there is a SIM but does not connect to the network.
Would appreciate help.
Thanks.

Try switching preferred network type.to that... Or 2g... Let's get it to connect first...

Is this an old sim card?
What variant do you have according to the bootloader?
Try removing your sim card... Boot the device... And see if the mobile radio can turn on with no card installed...

Did this happen after you updated to 9.0 Pie? Because My phone (Sprint model, flashed firmware to unlock) didn't recognize mi SIM after I took the update.
Where did you buy the phone? Are you absolutely it sure it was not a Sprint phone?
Anyways, I had to flash back to an old firmware, flash a couple of modem files, and now my SIM is recognized again.
I did what this gentleman did...
