need help rooting

my phone refuses to s=off no matter how many times i try with the gfree method. i do everything right in the thread and i even used the video on youtube and it still doesn't work. can someone help.

Yoga 2 830f - Looking for a ROM file

Am trying to reflash my tablet, but can't find a rom for the 830f. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your reply - You've helped me to restore my tablet to working order, I appreciate it. I wasn't aware the 1050 ROM worked.
However, as the 8 inch is a smaller screen - would you happen to know how to change the DPI?

Hi i am a newb and need some help?

Hi my name is murdoc, you guys can call me doc.
First i would like to say i appreciate anyone taking the time to read this thread and thank all who choose to participate.
I have been reading for about 12 hours on what it is to root you phone. I am still unsure what to do.
I have been trying to get all the necessary files to root my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge, SM-G935V, Android 7.
I have hit some road blocks and still dont have everything i need. Can someone point me in the right direction via link?
At this impasse i thought it may be easier to downgrade to android 6 and use that particular rooting procedure.
Is there any validity to my assertion? If so can someone point me in the right direction?

Curious is anyone has overcome this issue on our device. I looked at this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magiskhide-props-config-t3789228) but it's way over my head. Is anyone else getting this error on Magisk and how have you solved it? Can I just replace the build.prop file and be good to go?

You are on the correct track, that module is what you need. See Step 5 of my Guide here That guide should walk you through everything, but if some thing isn't clear, or you have questions ask.

Thanks for the encouragement. After reading your guide I went back and realized that I wasn't entering the correct commands in the TU. After rereading, I was able to follow the guide and get everything in working order. What a relief! I've been dealing with this for months.

I have no idea. You wrote that you didn't find a guid, so I gave you one. Look for videos on youtube.
I am generally not a rooting enthusiast.
