Wait a little to make sure its not just taking a while to turn on. Then just hold power button and once it shuts off quickly press power and volume buttons to get into boot loader before it reboots. From there plug it in and use the toolkit to restore to stock (this will wipe everything on the tablet even data). Or you could go into recovery and just do a full wipe. I think it should then turn on fine but again youll lose data. Try the second way first as its faster. If it doesn't work then try the first option.

I am having the exact same problem. I tried the toolkit, but nothing happened. It seems that this is a strong brick.

Stuck at red M

Hello, so my atrix was perfect like 2 hours ago. I ad neutrinos rom gt+ on it for like 2 days days and everything was perfect. But ! well i was playing a bit with it and deleted some stuff in the android folder of my internal sd, it was only real racing 2 game files and some other stuff. I played some more with it and my screen started flashing strangely and doing weird stuff. I closed the screen, i opened back same thing. The phone shutted down itself. I tried rebooting and now im stuck at the red m logo with unlocked in the top left corner. i tried to access recovery by doing a battery pull and rebooting but i dont have access to the little menu. Anybody can help me fix this?
Silly question but are you holding down the volume down rocker button during boot? Do you get the prompt for fastboot, android recovery, etc ?
If it pops up scroll down using volume down to android recovery and hit the volume up to select it.
Should be able to fix it from there.
When i hold down volume down button there is absolutely no prompt pf any kind =\ i already installed some stuff with cwm and i had to go through there, but now i have nooothing =(

Did you update to the latest firmware? If so it might be wise to see about reflashing that same firmware again with RSD. It's a pain in the arse and you might have to do it a few times to get it to work right, but it is possible. I had the latest build CM7 on my atrix and I reflashed to stock just to see if I could.
I'm not kidding though when I say it's a painful process, the phone might get stuck in a boot loop (where it goes to the M Dual Core logo and just reboots). If that happens you're still okay cause you can just keep reflashing the stock .sbf file till it takes (just don't downgrade).
Your call though.
Meh today its completely dead, i checked it today and all ihave is green led =(
Edit: Plugged it in wall charge instead of computer, back to M logo =(
Unlocked bootloader so best not to use RSD. Can you get fastboot? Reboot and hold volume up instead of down.

Find a friend with an Atrix and use their phone to charge your battery, or try going into an AT&T store and asking if you can charge it there on a display phone.
Im in canada =/ but one of my friend got an atrix, ill charge the battery with his phone BUT back when my battery was still charged i still couldnt get to fastboot/recovery power+up and power+down didnt worked neither. Is it hard bricked?
Il also ordered stuff to make a motorola factory cable, think i will be able to do anything with this?
Still seeking help guys! I loved my atrix please help me to recover it :/

Well, if you can't get into either recovery, fastboot, or rsd mode you won't be able to fix it. Make sure you're pressing the volume down button as you boot the phone, and keep it held down until the options come up.

Vibrant with ICS worked fine... and today it died! =/

Hello everyone!
I have a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant, and I had successfully flashed Onecosmic's ICS_4.0.3.0(RC3.1)_Vibrant_Full.zip.
It worked fine for about a month, sometimes it did just black out and I had to remove battery and reboot it, but nothing serious.
But tonight it just went black and now when I try to power it on this is what happens...
1) "Vibrant" and "SAMSUNG" appear for about 2 seconds
2) Blacks out for about a second
3) "Vibrant" and "SAMSUNG" reappear for about 5 seconds
4) Blacks out. The bottom "buttons" light up if I touch them, and if I keep the power button pressed for 10 seconds it does reboot, but it doesn't boot up Android.
I dont know what I should do, if any of you know a way I could boot it up at least once more to backup some stuff, that would be great.
Any help will be appreciated... Thanks!
Try going to recovery and flash from again.
iPhone killer!!!
Yea, I might do that, I just didn't wanna lose all my data, and some recently-added phone numbers =/
Don't factory reset

did you make a nandroid? you could just use the advance recovery an put back the system without touching the data
or if you didn't you could make a backup the flash the Tom again then advance recover from cmw and put back the data
hope it helps, good luck
And as far as numbers go, you really should be syncing them with your Google account. Than You will never worry about this again.

You will probably need to Odin it back to stock. Read this thread. And while you are Odin'in check to make sure you are following each stop to the letter. As you probablly flashed a GB bootloader, to get your ViBrick into download you need to: Open Odin. Then connect your usb cable to your phone and computer. While the USB is plugged in and Odin running press and hold volume down + Home + Power. Once the black screen comes (flashes) release the Power Button. Then it should get into download mode. After that use Odin accordingly to flash back to stock.
Sometimes that just happens. Try letting it sit for a little while(10 minutes should be plenty). This happens to me sometimes and after a while it will randomly boot. It's very strange.

Plugged in my N7 while off, and now it's dead.

It is showing a black screen (with backlighting) and sometimes when I plug it in it shows the Google logo. Tried reseting it, and doing everything I have read, but nothing works. If I unplug it, it shuts off and won't boot. Any help?
Try booting into bootloader to reboot device =D

Hi, nygfan760...
If you're getting some sort of response, then that's a good sign.
First, just LONG PRESS the POWER-BUTTON (for around 30 seconds); this will force power-down the device and reset it.
Try powering up from there.
-------
If that doesn't work...
...try to enter BOOTLOADER/FASTBOOT mode...
Press both Vol+/- buttons... and HOLD... whilst 'Holding'.., now press the POWER-BUTTON.
You should get the BOOTLOADER SCREEN... with UP and DOWN arrows, adjacent to the volume UP and DOWN keys... with the START option adjacent to the POWER-BUTTON.
Press the POWER-BUTTON... Hopefully you device will START...
Rrgrds,
Ged.
Hi, I also had similar problems with my Nexus 7. I was able to get in bootloader after multiple tries. Kind of randomly... didn't understand why. Unit would finally boot but turn off randomly again.
I gave a try and removed the back of the unit to take a look... I saw that the battery was nearly unplugged. I simply popped the connector in and voila! no more SOD, turning off, nothing.
So, the Nexus was probably turning itself off because there was randomly no more power comming from the battery. (and also could'nt charge it)
Here's a link on how to remove the back shell : http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus+7+Teardown/9623/1
Look at Step 4.
None if it worked. Luckily I was still able to return it to office depot. Thanks for the suggestions!

Nexus 4 Red Light

Hello everyone, I'm in need of a bit of assistance and was hoping you all might be able to help. So last night when I woke up to use the restroom i used my phone to guide me using the screen as a light since we are removing all Christmas decorations and I did not want to step on any of them. On my way back from the restroom the screen light turned off and will not turn back on. I have been trying to reset it all morning long using the power\volume key method and this time it will not work. The phone will not recognize any sort of input from me but when i connect it to my computer, the computer recognizes it and tries to install some random drivers.
Shortly after this I got a flashing red led light. Also the phone attempted to boot up but then will revert to the red light. I was able to get into the bootloader and from there went to the recovery. I wiped all data and cache and tried reinstalling the PAC rom and the franco kernel and gapps thinking this would fix my problem. It did not and now I am out of ideas. I am not sure what to do and have looked around and figured it is not the battery issue since I was able to get into the bootloader and the recovery.
Currently the only thing I can get it to do is if i hold both volume buttons and the power button while connected to my PC there will be a solid red light. I am still trying to get into the bootloader again but so far no success. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions anyone may have.
See if this can help? I don't know. Tough situation buddy.

[Q] Bricked D800 after flashing 'boot animation'

Well, I finally bricked my first phone since starting with the Dream way back when.
I was flashing different boot animations on this D800 and came across one supposedly for T-Mobile. I had unlocked the phone, and changed from AT&T to TMO, so I thought it'd be appropriate. Boy was I wrong.
As soon as TWRP flashed that ZIP and rebooted, the screen went black. No LG logo. No animation, no sound, no nothing. So I looked into the ZIP file I downloaded (from somewhere on XDA, I'll have to find the thread) and it looks like a full TMO ROM. Great!
Now I can't even turn off the phone. I can see the backlight on the (black) screen, and when I press and hold power, it restarts after 10 seconds, but then comes back on. Something else strange is that a drive F: shows up on my PC, with about 70 MB of various files. Then there are about 10 other volumes, G: through T:, but they are empty.
Now what?

Yeah, I had just made a backup in TWRP, so my first thought was get back into recovery. However, Power+Vol Down doesn't do anything except reboot, just as it does when holding only the power button. Same thing with Power+Vol Up and holding all 3 buttons down.

You need to keep holding until the LG Logo comes back, then release and hold the buttons again :good:

Yeah, I have tried holding them down for multiple reboots but it's all black, every time. I haven't seen the LG logo come back up since I flashed that ROM. I've tried letting up on the Power+Vol Down button at various times to try to trigger it and I can't figure any way to get into recovery.
try this solution. It may help:

I assume you've tried shutting down completely first?
The multiple drives is good, you can resolve this. In not near my computer now but try looking for a thread about no recovery no download mode etc, in that thread it is suggested to connect phone with usb while running ubuntu.
I used that thread to revive my phone after a bad flash.
Keep in mind that the files mentioned there are maybe not for your model so you will have to find the correct files.

When I get a black screen after flashing a boot animation and the phone does not boot (just gives a black screen) I usually remove the boot animation via adb. This will use the generic Android boot animation and boot your phone up

Well, I don't think this was a boot animation, even though it was advertised as such. I wasn't thinking, because I know better than to accept a 798MB file as being just animation, no matter how elaborate. I mean, I've been doing this since 2008, but I flashed it anyway. Only after it blew up in my face did I look inside the ZIP and see all the stuff you'd have for a full-blown ROM. Ugh.
In any event, I don't have any adb shell or devices or anything when it boots, just those weird drives.
The real kicker is. this is my 2nd G2 -- the first one having gone into some kind of CPU thermal runaway. I had to send it to Samsung in TX and they replaced the system board. So I've "used" this phone, which I first bought December 5th, for only about 3 weeks total at this point.

I eventually figured out that I can get it to turn it off, by continuing to hold the power button, At first it will reboot, but after a few more seconds it turns it off. Or what looks like off -- nothing is ever drawn on the screen at this point, not even the LG logo. So I basically have to hold the phone up to my eye and watch for the backlight to be on or off.
I also left it "off" overnight, but it didn't help.

I just read your post saying that you had flashed an entire ROM. Do you have a ROM backup you can restore?
D803 up in this *****
Have you tried while it's powered off to turn it on and plugging in the usb cable(connected to pc of course) to see if it enters download mode(just incase I myself have never been able to access download mode using the button combination on the g2), if it enters download mode all you would need is the LG flash tool and a tot of the d800 to get back to stock?

Yeah, I was going to mention this. Once you have it completely powered down, hold volume up and plug it into your pc. That should throw you into download mode where you can restore through lg flashtool.
Alternatively, while powered down completely, you can attempt to boot into recovery by pressing and holding volume down and power, hopefully the lg logo will appear again, and you can release and press both again. I've been in situations where it took me a bit, meaning multiple tries and a few dirty pairs of underwear, to get it to work. But it eventually did. Admittedly, none of these instances occurred after flashing a rom for a different device, so your mileage may vary.
