Well.. Mokee didn't work that well on my phone , so I put the 10.2 from QUARX. It's working better. I did almost 5k in antutu benchmark..
If you want a stable ROM try CM10. If you want speed use CM10.2 and disable lockscreen widgets. The fastest is AOSP 4.4 KitKat but it's not very stable, as some things don't work.
Thank You good people
I'm trying cm.10.2 right now and it is really nice. I must tune it a little by Yours advices.

Same here. 10.2 is just running fine. If someone is interested in usb-hostmode. you can get a modified kernel here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46979380#post46979380
I'm very pleased with CM 10.2 too (last version (30102013)). For faster work i turn off all transitional effects in interface. I hope CM11 in a short time will be the best choise.
Disabling hwa foralla pass execpt "Système android" & "IU système" will give you more speed in the apps and transitions too
You could always try to use Slimbean it is fast and has a terrific battery life, or you could always try CM11, i am currently using the 24-11-13 build with BaNkS core GApps, yet you would have to delete some things from the zip before flashing if you want to use CM.
CM11 is really the fastest since the lanunch of android 4.x. But it's still in developpement.

Would AOSP be faster than CM version?
What about Maniac CM7-20130710 ?
I think it is fast enough.
How do you define "fast"?
I want a phone that is not locking up in everday usage (lightweight), not rebooting when I get called (stable) and I don't care for gaming performance. This phone is 3 years old and I want it to work. All apps became way more bloated than they were three years ago, imho we should focus on lightweight apps and a lightweight ROM. We don't have as much RAM and a fancy dual/quadcore CPU as the recent phones, but the apps are made for those phones.
I currently have CM10 and though it runs good sometimes, I often get lockups when I forget to close apps in the background and whatnot. This isn't acceptable.
Do you have any suggestions for me? E.g. a lightweight browser? Dolphin lags like hell...
As far as stability is concerned, Maniac's latest CM7.2 ROM is still the best. But that means giving up on the latest apps which require ICS or JB to work. I tried Quarx's CM10.2 (with JB 4.3) and it's surprisingly fast and it's quite stable as well but some features are a bit buggy. With Kitkat being released, I doubt 4.3 will ever get the level of polish that CM7.2 can boast.
Hi all....
So, if I want something very stable, have I to try Maniac CM7? I want give my old defy to my grandfather. He will use it for calling, sms, and sometimes taking photos and internet (maybe some card games). He is a bit old, so he need something easy, most stable and with slovak language. Thanks for your help .
If your grandfather is tech savvy go ahead. If not, MIUI might be a more user friendly ROM. Make sure you have all important apps on the main screen and lock it so he can't accidentaly (re)move them.
Hmm, ok. I had MiUi too on my Mi2S, so probably I'll try that first. And I want to download some launcher with big icons on main screen, so, I think it can be good.
Thanks.

I like nightly's alot. They are also stable with no bugs. Also they are the improved form of stable build. With the new once, it creates a perfect balance b/w performance and battery.

Installed and changed back to sense rom. Idk why but i wasn't able to download apps from market. I restarted phone a few times and it still said that there is error and download cannot be completed. Same situation with cm7 stable. Strange situation because stable version always worked perfect for me );

Maybe it is connected with that i couldn't install any sense rom for a few days. Cwm told me that installation is aborted and i tried few days later and it worked perfrctly. Anyway, my willy is almost 3 years old so maybe that is the issue (;

Hello Folks.. I hope all of you are enjoying good health....
Suggest me a good custom rom for Nexus 4 16 GB. I have tried many but cannot find a good one that suits me. So please help me choosing the best custom rom available for nexus 4.
Thank You All..!
My current favourite is the Cyanide Rom (Uses the CM Theme Engine), 2nd favourite is OrionLP (Layers Theme Engine). Both of those have a LOT of customisation including a fully customisable NAV bar.
Distant third is MIUI but that's still on 4.4 for the Nexus 4 just now, hopefully MIUI 7 will be ported to it soon.

Hello everyone!
As everyone know, there is no MIUI developer for our device. So i decided month ago to start working on MIUI 8 for LG G4 for my personal use.
Im still working on it. I start with Nexus 5X Miui 8 port base and some MiCode patchroom, all implement in stock MM source for G4. Already it boot, but freeze when setup wizard appear (some kernel and framework errors).
I am studying, so i don't have very much time to work at the same time. When i will solve freeze on setup wizard, i will share code and rom for some testers (you can sign to tester list in comments).
First will be released H815, then other versions. That's my third MIUI project, but previous was not realeased.
Of course it will be UNOFFICIAL project.
I have in plans also create MIUI for stock based rom (with glance view, quick window etc), but first need to finish this project).

Nice to hear that miui is on the way.
I can test to but i need my Phone as daily driver so i can only test at weekend if its very unstable ?
Wait H818?
Doesn't that variant not have a bootloader unlock? or did I miss something
unless I got you wrong, and that you meant that you will work on h818 once there is a bl lock
Anyway, happy to see that this device (not my variant tho ;-; ) will be getting Miui, it will be a refresh for our community!

First thing, you are awesome! Also, if you manage to create a miui for h818 without BL unlock, you should be able to do it with all the H815 variants (L/T/P/AR etc)
Interesting to see how this develops. The last project was unsuccessful so we hope this goes through
I was working on MIUI for H815 but was unable to boot:

Awesome! And after it took so many of us before to try and get it to even boot (MIUI request thread) and you beat all of us to it at once ? Did you use patchrom at all or was all of your tinkering through just editing stuff and adding lines and files?
Nevertheless, thanks for your work. If I have some free time I'll let you know on signing up for testing.

Hmm. I think that would better to start work on stock based, instead of aosp. Better functionality, camera quality. And i think its easier than implememt to aosp. What you think guys?

Hi!
It's been a while since I have bought my Mi A1.
During this time i've tested various custom roms but every single one doesn't feel as smooth as stock rom.
Have i missed something in installation or its common issue? Personally, laggy animations bothers me, but from the other hand I really like customizations that are not possible in stock rom.
So, is there any way to "fix" that laggy animations?
Thanks.

If you use Franco Kernel you have conditioned yourself to not notice lag. Nobody uses Franco Kernel if their priority is the phone's smoothness and performance.
How is the battery backup of the custom Roms compared to stock? I'd like to use a custom Rom with many customizations and good battery backup, which Rom can you guys recommend?

Didn't try every rom but flashed AEX, RR and, pixel experience (on pixel experience I faced a audio clicking bug that is really so irritating caused by a substratum theme because of pixels experience don't have support for OMS) didn't feel any different for battery life same because of lots of customization will drain battery' like hover controls, DT2W they will always keep sensors on so battery drain is aspected. I did try a custom kernel but not impressed so I come back to stock and in March security patch battery is good enough for my daily use not similar to nougat but I'm happy. I'm only use root or custom rom for getting ads free YouTube, only for YouTube but now on stock i've got adsfree YouTube for unrooted user so I'm on stock with clean AOSP no modifications stock rom, April security patch is arrived on my phone but I didn't updated because many users they updated reported that nothing changed only some bug fix so I just stay on March. ☺
I went back to stock. Aim rom started to lagging like every rom. Now i have stock rom with april patch + mint kernel and some magisk modules.

I'd prefer stock rom if it have dt2sleep statusbar and some easy way to take screenshot like a tile in quick setting.
