I flashed Slimrom + gapps + kernel and I've been stuck at the slimrom splash screen for at least 15mins. I'm unable to boot into recovery, but can get into download mode, but fastboot doesn't detect the phone.
Any ideas?

Hi, my D802 is stuck in a bootloop, where it just shows the LG splashscreen and the custom ROM's boot animation, but it won't get past there.
Unable to get into recovery either. Phone screen just flashes and LG logo comes back up whenever I try the recovery combo (power + down then power + down). I can get into download mode but I can't seem to get adb to work, and then use [adb reboot recovery] to boot into recovery. Drivers all installed, and all are the latest. Recovery was working fine before this and it screwed up only after I flashed a custom ROM.
What am I doing wrong? My phone is now nothing but a paperweight since I can't get into the OS nor the recovery. Thanks.
Phone: V20 [H918] T-Mobile

I was flashing latest pie firmware + Havoc 2.9 + Gapps + Magisk from the latest Pitch Black recovery and I'm stuck on the Asus logo. Now it doesn't even let me boot into recovery (Volume down + Power) :/ USB debugging is off as I was flashing for the first time I guess... Please help me out guys :/
Solved by flashing TWRP again.
I had been into similar situation before but I just keep booting in attempt to boot into recovery.
Hi, i have an h-870 model stuck in a twrp loop.
No matter what I do it will boot up in twrp.
I gave it to my dump brother and he managed to wipe the rom off it and now it just boots in twrp, I can't get it to download mode because as soon as I power it of from twrp it just goes into twrp again. Any ideas?
in goes in TRWP, because you don't have ROM installed. Flash rom. or go into download mode. You can get in download mode from TRWP boot loop, just shutdown phone.
Hello,
Previously I had flashed LineageOS v18 which had few bugs.
Then I flashed Android 10 official beta downloaded from Asus site (UL-ASUS_X00P-WW-AOSP-17.00.2003.23-user.zip).
Now I want to go back to another custom ROM but I am unable to boot into any recovery - stock recovery as well as TWRP.
- I have confirmed the bootloader is unlocked.
- Can't boot into stock recovery. Phone directly boots into OS.
- Tried "installing" TWRP in fastboot mode (fastboot flash recovery.img). Installation goes fine but when I reboot, the phone boots straight to OS instead of going into recovery.
- Tried "booting" TWRP in fastboot mode (fastboot boot recovery.img). Installation goes fine but when I reboot, the phone boots straight to OS instead of going into recovery.
- Tried both methods for booting into recovery (pressing the buttons as well as giving a command via fastboot).
Questions:
1. How can I boot into recovery?
2. If I can't boot into recovery, what can I do to flash a custom ROM?
