I'm on stock 4.2.2 rooted with baseband .48. Before I updated to 4.2.2 I had pretty good signal and now it's horrible.
Can I get the .27 baseband back just by flashing a zip in twrp? If so, the only zip of .27 I've found was for cwm, can I flash that in twrp?
Or better yet can somebody he'll me get a zip for twrp of .27?
Also, any side effects to downgrading the baseband?
Thanks guys.
You mean like this?

and far as I know the zip doesn't care if you flash it with CWM or TWRP
Hi, I am new to rooting the android. I tried looking around but couldn't find a clear guide.
I am looking on how to update my verizon Galaxy Note 3 that's on version 4.3 MJ7 (Hyperdrive RLS4 rom, model N900V) while preserving the root. Or would I have to loose root for a while and then re-root? Ultimately I am looking to install the newest Hyperdrive rom, but I believe I would have to update the stock firmware first?
Would be great to get some tips on how to do this. Thanks!

Did you take the OH4 update or flash that tar? I'm on Sprint OG5, and I know once you take the 5.1.1 update or tar you are stuck with the 5.1.1 bootloader and 5.1.1 roms. I odin'd a special tar that an xda member put together that had the 5.0.1 bootloader but updated everything else to 5.1.1 which lets me flash anything from 4.4.4-5.1.1. The 5.1.1 bootloader locks you in place.
So if you took the 5.1.1 OTA update or flashed a stock 5.1.1 tar through Odin than you can only flash 5.1.1 roms. There is no going back to 5.0.1 or 4.4.4.
Hello, Death-Dealer.
Could you please post that special .tar file you mentioned above? I'm in need to downgrade my phone too...
Thanks in advance.
I have a ZE550KL still stock and don't want to root it until I can find a way to build a pre-rooted stock ROM so I can keep root but also update or downgrade versions as I like.
I also have a Sony Z3 and a Samsung S3 and both are quite easy to build pre-rooted stock ROMs, especially the Sony with PRFCreator. Now we have the TWRP recovery, flashable SuperSU zip and stock ROMs, is there any way to create a flashable pre-rooted stock ROM?
you may use pre rooted patched firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zen...oot-ze550kl-zenfone-laser-z00ld-1-15-t3249326
you do not need to unlock your phone.
just follow instructions, latest firmware is in same link.
you may download any version you wish.

Yes I know I can flash your patched firmware but I was hoping that after the initial root that I want to be able to create my own pre-rooted stock firmware. At present I always have to wait until you post an updated patched firmware.
I'm seeing baseband at:
MPSS.TH.2.0.1.c3-00011-M8996FAAAANAZM-1
Is this correct version if I unlocked and rooted with
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/root-h910-v10m-t3664500
Looking at ATT, it is showing Baseband version:
MPSS.TH.2.0.1.c3-00045-M8996FAAAANAZM-1
https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tut.../id/stepbystep_KM1171033?make=LG&model=LGH910
Is this because aboot is tied to baseband and we can't upgrade?
Because the firmware is up to 10q, and that is 10m. If you want to flash 10q, there are several posts around here that have links to the firmware, but it is not a flashable zip.
*I* won't make a flashable zip / upgrade the firmware used to root until I can compile up a 10q kernel so that the phone works correctly.
Also, you can't just use the 10q modem with 10m firmware....

Hey man! Are you trying to compile 10q kernel to fix static screen and make a flashable zip?
