Hi All,
I just rooted and put the latest TWRP on my new Verizon G2.
I installed clean rom 1.0 and the install finished succesfully. when trying to reboot for the first time after install, I'm stuck at a black window immediately after the LG logo splash screen, which only has the following information in small writing in the upper left corner:
[810] Fastboot mode started
[860] udc_start()
I can't seem to get past it and can't get back into the recovery. Any ideas? I'm stuck without a working phone right now.
Thanks very much!
Did you flash the one for the Verizon phone?

If you flashed the one in the op then I believe you need to flash back to stock because that one in the op is not intended for Verizon. His link has been down for quite some time now. But head over to general forum and look for Verizon back to stock... Takes about 30 mins to get it all setup and done. Then reroot

What method used for root and recovery?
What method are using to flash ROM?
You check all your md5s?
Sent from my VS980 4G using xda app-developers app
Full clean etc
Did you:
a) nandroid backup
b) factory reset
c) clear caches
d) install rom
(standard procedure I realize)
Thanks for all the replies guys... appears to have been a bad download. Haven't had one in a long time so I was lazy checking the MD5s last night.

Just repaired this at my shop by taking off the back of the phone & back plate above the battery & unplugging the battery.
turn on LG Mobile support tool
Go to Options & select upgrade recovery
Plug back in battery & press volume up while plugging phone into computer to trigger download mode
Let the LG Mobile support tool work & reload the operating system
Good Luck

Will the phone boot normally so you can get to play store or it just won't boot at all? Are you using volume down and power, just making sure? Sometimes it can be finnicky like that.

ok i just tried it manually and the factory reset screen showed up, but when i pushed the power button twice the screen went black with the backlight on...
OK, try downloading quick boot from play store and TWRP from play store. Quick Boot will give you an option to reboot directly to recovery, try that first. Then, if that doesn't work, you can try running TWRP app and that allows you to flash a new recovery using the TWRP interface whole your phone is running. You may want to go to the TWRP website and download the most current version for your model first.
Edit: just use the TWRP app to install or reinstall the actual recovery you downloaded from the TWRP site linked below.

thank you i will try that now
The black screen with white lettering in the top left corner is the bootloader.
If you have adb you can download a new twrp recovery image and do a "fastboot flash recovery path_to_recovery\recovery_name.img" and then try rebooting into recovery. It should work fine.

This is what appears in the top left of the screen when the LG splash pops up for a split second and goes black if you were curious.

That being said, you need to push a working recovery onto the device. If you can get into android, then you can access ADB from there and push the working recovery. You should be able to find the latest version of vzwG2 twrp in the g2 general section.
If you can't get into android, then you're ****ed as far as I'm aware. However, if this is the case then you can send it into LG and they will fix it right up for you

I've heard some people say that LG just reflashed the phone while they left root on there. I completely formatted the phone so there was nothing left on it before I sent mine in just in case.

You can't access ADB unless youre in android or a recovery, and you are in neither. You would usually be able to access fastboot (similar to ADB) which is another safety feature so you dont get bricked, but from what i've tried in this state i haven't been able to get into either.
You can try to play around with the android partitions in QHUSB_BULK and potentially fix it if you restore a recovery or something along those lines. But like I had said, I had no success with that.
Your best bet is to send it format the device and send it into LG so they can reflash everything.
Same issue, fixed it today
I had the same issues with a non-loading boot loader & a non-booting ROM. Follow the instructions in the thread linked below to restore stock firmware, and then root, TWRP, and install a custom ROM afterwards. The link to the LG Flash Tools was not one that worked for me, but a quick google search will get you the right file (top 3 results proved fruitful for me).

Hey all,
I recently was playing with some ROMs with my LG G2, seeing which was the best for me, and along the way, I messed up and now I am stuck in a fastboot screen, with nothing but a little bit of white text on a black background that says "Fastboot mode started, udc_start()". I have no clue what to do, and I really need some guidance. I played around for a bit and now I believe the phone is completely wiped. Can anyone help?
bump, can anyone help? Im dying here.
Hold down power for 15 seconds. Then hold power and volume down till white screen appears. Press power 3 times. Should be in recovery now if you had recovery installed.

If this does not work you can revert to stock by downloading orginal firmware in .kdz format and flash it with Flashtool

help.. i tap something that i forgot in ... may be in "##4433386368# - Developer menu*" or somewhere(Sprint Dialer Codes) now i can't connect to my computer... i'm not allowed to post ... so ....anyone can help me ?
You need to first download the kdz and lg flash utility with drivers.
Install drivers
The factory reset deleting system, cache, internal sd.
Then shutdown your g2.
Start to downloaded mode connecting your g2
Flash kdz & voila... Done
I too bricked my phone before. My flashing stuck at 49%. Recovered using above method, all is well now
This works 1000%. I bet on it. Just remember to wipe the phone completely before flashing. You will return to stock with unrooted status in download mode. U will have your warranty back too

Hi guys, need some help deperately please.
I've got an LG G2 D802 that has received the OTA update to 4.4 and is running fine.
I've since rooted it and i was looking at installing a custom recovery before flashing a new Rom......
I have tried to use Flashify after downloading TWRP recovery through Flashify but after rebooting it comes up with the following in the top left of a black screen;
Error: Boot Certification Verify
810 - secure booting error
860 - cause: boot certification verify
Then the screen goes off, ive left the phone and tried to reboot by just holding down the power button for 10 seconds but on boot i just get the same message then it dissapears and i get a black screen again
Any help or pointers would be great - thanks in advance
Try going to download mode and flash your kdz.

Thankyou for the reply - Any chance you could link or give me a quick tutorial on how to do this please?
I've connected the lg g2 up to my pc via usb and held down volume up and power to get into download mode - i get the screen on the lg with 'Firmware Update' on it and a bar with 0% on it and writing that says "DO not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete.
I've located the kdz for my particular device/model and downloaded it on my pc - how do i flash to my phone from here please - simple step by step instructions would be great thanks!
Of course. Please read this thread and if any troubles occure write here
P.S. disable Antivirus before proceeding.

Well ive tried to root again using ioroot 25 like i did initially but my phone doesnt like it at all
I get the little green android with the spinning thing on him but it doesnt go any further than that when i run the Windows Batch File - so going to do the whole process again - frustrating to say the least :/

If you've just flashed the KDZ, do a factory reset instead of just booting to android. (hold volume down + power until you see the lg logo, release for a moment and continue holding the 2 buttons untill the factory reset appears). If you're on the new base with knock on and the ioroot issues the reboot to recovery command it has the same effect, your data is cleared. You have to retry the rooting process (the second time it should work).

I've finally sorted it out now - on the first flash of the kdz my phone pretty much remained the same, it bought it back to life and it wasnt reset at all and i couldnt root it.
On the second flash of the kdz my phone went through the whole set up process again (enter google account, language etc) and i managed to root easily after that.
It's put me off installing a custom recovery now though Ive expereince with the htc one x, dell streak, zte blade ...... all fine but with this im worried about getting a recovery installed incase i mess up again!
I know there is TWRP recovery and Philz recovery available but using flashify was what got me into this mess - do you suggest i use the usb cable and connect to my pc and install a recovery that way?
Side note - ive downloaded TWRP and Phils recoveries but none of them have a Windows Batch File to run hence me using Flashify - ive put the question on both of those threads aswell - where is the BAT command to run?
Thanks for your help
Use autorec m8. First root, second download autorec and click flash. Done
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i turn on my LG Li-ion and it just keeps saying boot certification verify
So I think I screwed up big time. I rooted my phone, found the AutoRec tutorial and app and installed and ran it, once it tried to reboot into recovery it immediately went into fastboot saying
"[5360] Fastboot mode started"
"[5410] udc_start()"
No matter what I try to do i won't leave this screen (other than powering it off), I've tried flashing two different twrp recoveries too.
Please help I'm stressing out big time
Update: I've gotten it out of fastboot, now it's stuck on the LG screen (since I wiped it clean)

I had some problems last night when I wiped my baseband so I reverted to stock using the lg flashtool. I decided to update the software before reinstalling paranoid android. I left the device plugged in and when I installed the official software but when it rebooted , it errored and I was stuck in fastboot mode. I couldn't even get into download mode. I started up adb and decided to flash the recovery through fastboot after some brief reading and now when it reboots , following the lg logo , i get the fastboot stuff again for only a brief second before it shuts down. Also , when I connect the device to the computer , I get a message telling me to format drive (F) which I assume is a problem with the phone. PLEASE GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS. I AM DESPERATE AND FREAKING OUT A LITTLE

a little update - the fastboot text says something about boot certificates when it flashes and apparently it doesn't shut down , the screen stays on but displays black. Also , more than just drive (F) appears. I get nearly 20 drives and only one of them works. (E) has a folder title "image" and lists of files
There is a way. I had to fastboot laf and recovery. For my spicific model ofcourse
