Roms for SM-900W8 - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have scoured the forums to find roms for this device, and most don't seem to work. TWRP says no rom is installed for Lindroid, and others just keep installing.
What am I missing?

Will we get a cyanogenmod or a clean/optimized rom?

So,
we got root....next question is will we get a cyanogen mod or a clean/optimized rom at least?
Cause a rooted device without any mods and optimization would be nothing.
Can't even uninstall brand apps.
And yes I used search, could't find anyone saying he is working on a custom rom.
Thx.
theres no bootloader access so you cant flash custom roms.

root is only achieved for the se rom.
for cynogen roms we need to crack bootloader. devs are workin on it. but as of now no custom roms possible.

By default, the beta was rooted, claimed by the dev team. However, I personally think that it's only partially rooted, meaning that only some apps are able to detect the root, while some cannot detect that. It depends on the apps that you are using.

[Q] Flashing AOKP roms

I'm rooted running a good TW rom at the moment but I have always preferred and ran AOSP roms. So I want to flash Liquid's rom but keep getting error getprop"ro.bootloader". OP said to look for updated bootloader firmware, I have looked for two days and can't seem to find that file or the solution. I am on OUDHS recovery and have tried TWR also but both give me the same error. I have successfully flashed CM10 but I can't flash most of the other AOKPs, I've seen a few others post similar results but no one has stated a sure fix. It seems hit or miss some can flash some can't. What am I missing?? If there is a updated bootloader where would I look to find it? Thanks

I believe the latest OTA has an updated bootloader, but I wouldnt take it at this time as the devs are still sorting through it. Take a look at some of the MF9 (I think) threads. Not sure it would solve your aokp issues
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
I have already run the MF9 update with updated bootloader, it flashed fine but when I tried to flash the ROM again it still gave me the same ro.bootloader error. I'm just going to hang loose and let the developement catch up and then give it another shot later. There are still OTAs hitting with tweaks so no boubt those will end up in rom updates anyway. I don't want to bother the great developers this early in the stages, its all to new yet.

H870 wont boot past recovery...

Hello,
I today went to install an update to the RR 8.1 ROM, however my G6 will no longer boot past TWRP - and I have no idea why.
I've formatted everything possible.. have tried to flash different ROMs and Kernels but the device simply will not boot correctly. It boots into Recovery every time and i'm confused as to why.
I'm currently out and about wont my mac so I can't flash a stock kdz until later when I get onto my Windows machine.
Is there anything I can do now?
TIA!
This is probably the 8th-9th thread about this issue. Please search. This is a common problem with linage based os OTA updates.
Research.

Are you aware of how many random threads there are that relate to the G6 and the word 'recovery'? I didn't think of doing any research AT ALL. Thanks for your useful input.

You are very welcome, just next time please search before repeating yourself. So many other lazy ignorant people who cant be bothered to search or use their initiative that the forum gets filled up with the same rubbish.
If you need some help on how to use the search correctly let me know.

How to root Paranoid Android? (To fix IR blaster).

I managed to install Paranoid Android on my Note 3 and it's amazing, yet I've had trouble with the IR blaster not working. I read if I root the phone then there is a solution to this, though I'm not sure if it'll work or if there's easier fixes. Anyways, I'm not sure how to root a custom rom, I've been using TWRP to install stuff (Paranoid Android & Gapps). Ive read you just flash a supersu zip but I'm not even sure where I'd get it. Any help on rooting if not a simple solution to just fix the IR blaster instead would be greatly appreciated.
