Are you talking about when we touch something to start texting and the keyboard pops-up after a small but very visible pause?
Damn, that annoys me so much. It happens with every keyboard. I'm on MJ7 and it still happens.
Yes! That's what I'm taking about!
You need to press twice sometime to get the keyboard to pop up!

Got the update today, as well. MJ7 with CSC MJ4. I spoofed the system status to "official" using Wanam, downloaded the update, clicked install but while rebooting a screen showed up that reads "installing system update" and then it showed "error". The phone booted normally but without the update.
Trying it through Kies now. Let's see what happens.
Why opening new thread when we have one for this and several others. And this update already came to BTU UK week-two ago and all of you guys will receive soon another one or two... No need to open new thread for something which is already discussed few times. Just read few pages here and you'll get all information.

Errr.. I wouldn't pay £499 for a N7100....
I have N7105ZHALJ4 where is my multiscreen?
Does the Build Number say anything about where the phone came from?
I bought mine from Mobicity.co.nz who ship from Hong Kong so assume the phone was also built/set for there.
Does this mean I have to wait for Samsung to bring the update for the N7105 to HK or as I am now using it in New Zealand, on a NZ Vodafone network do I need to wait for some sort of NZ update
Think I've attached an image of all settings if this can assist in answering my questions.
Thanks heaps, and hey Bloody good phone purchase from you all.

You have the Hong Kong version. The build shown is what i had before the update. Just run the update in the phone settings menu and the ota update should show. If it doesn't just connect your phone to kies on your computer and the update can be done there. You don't need to wait for Nz update as your phones firmware is not for that region.

This was discussed in detail here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2247243
Unrooting using Framaroot, or use OTA Rootkeeper. Either way works, but be sure to reboot after unrooting. Otherwise you will just get the same error message about the system being modified. Also, if there any any bloat apps frozen or uninstalled, you will have to undo that (in addition to unroot) for the system to come up as not being modified.
This is a rather stupid move on Samsung's part.
Sent from my SCH-I510 using xda app-developers app
Kies will still work for the update though, even modified, at least for me. I did however set Kies up with it stock & then selected the "Auto download updates" feature in Tools / firmware upgrade settings, so if there is an update, whenever I plug the N8 into my laptop, it tells me an update is available & then gives me the option to install it now or wait.
Even stranger though is that even modified, I can select to reprovision & install factory firmware (Upgrade & Initialization) on the Note 8, but now on the Note 10.1 once it says "modified" status, you lose the ability to provision & reset with Kies & you get the "N8013 does not support initialization" error, even though both are now running the MD3 firmware. Go figure.
Framaroot from the play store works to temporary unroot for purposes of updates. Just install it abd choose the option to temporarily unroot, then reboot and check for updates. It will download and install the update. I recommend another reboot when its finished. Then load up framaroot and restore root. All in all with a fast internet connection the whole process may take 10 minutes.

I tried using Framaroot to unroot my rooted N5100. I then checked for updates and it told me that they are not available to modified devices. I then even tried uninstalling everything and doing a factory reset and im still not able to check for updates. Any idea how to get my device back to the way it was out the box so i can check for updates?

No. The new boot loader checks the system partition for changes. So if you even have the SU binary or any other modified or new files in the System folder or any subfolder, it will not work for updates.
On other devices, like the Note 10.1, you have to revert to an older boot.img to be able to keep the status as unchanged. Unfortunately, that doesn't exist for the Note 8 as far as I know.
I have modified my multiwindow to work with all apps. When I used rootkeeper I was still able to update so I giess it works with some mods but not all.

Yes. It has some weird bug regarding wifi.. My router is not broadcasting SSID(hidden). The Wifi gets disconnected while using whereas my other phone(Lumia 920) doesn't have this issue. Both are connected to same router.
Had the update for about a week now, just few things that's bugging me. The charging takes twice the time then it used to be. Then there's the wifi auto turn on problem. Might do a full cleanup later. But the speed performance is better then the previous update.

Really this time sammobile/sammy have messed up something
i have flashed DMF2 with baseband MF1 when it was relesed 10 days ago.
then there was new release shown on sammobile with baseband MF2, I thoght there should be majot bug in previous otherwise sammy never release second update in a week. so i have downloaded and flashed but still modem was mf1. i have extract the image and surprisingly modem were same on both ROM but system.img was newer (built 18th june)
Again i have checked here some screen shot showing kies showning baseband MF2.I thought let's move back to previous MF2 with baseban MF1 and then receive OTA to update baseband. but devise constatnly saying device have latest software (even though on MF2 with MF1 baseband)
So, don't want to remain in doubt and moved back to MC3.
Will update only india gets latest update / 4.2 whatever come first.
They didn't screw up. I received that update via kies.

The easiest thing to do would be to list your current firmware. Then we can tell you if its the latest or if you are a behind. I think NB8 is the latest stock BTU UK firmware.

Yeah. Lots of people reporting the same thing unfortunately.
I already have the latest version just that when you click on device and update it tells you maximum number of updates rolled out but like other people say there must be a problem with Samsung server.

I just seen NB9 released too, what a load of rubbish. Other countries are rolling out much newer firmware and we get a minor patch made back in February,,,
The latest German firmware NF1 had a June date.
Good old uk always second to last.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
If it makes you feel any better I've tried loads of stock and custom firmware on my UK btu handset and have always come back to fnb8 UK stock as it's the most stable to date. So the fact that other counties have "more up to date" firmware versions is really not important because they bring no extra features and just add problems. E.g. nge5 and ngf1 (the latest firmwares) have random reboots meaning that I can't even walk down the street listening to music because halfway through a song it will cut out and reboot.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'd say stick with fnb8 until they release a firmware with new features (maybe when Android L is released).
Hi guy's, does the 16mbt patch fix anything??? Otherwise I agree that fnb8 is pretty good for me, any feedback? Thanks
