[Q] Note 3 Always Run Full Clock Speed - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Note 3 always run full clock speed. But any apps runnig same time only cpu-z. Is it a problem?
Sorry for my bad English : (

No. 1.9Ghz quad + 1.3Ghz Quad core

[Q] over clocking question

pk i saw there is a new kernal to over clock the iconia running 3.1 up to 1.6ghz.
ok now for the total noob question since this is a dual core tegra do both cores over clock? i guess what i am wondering is all the specs say dual core running at 1.0 ghz stock so is that 1.0 ghz per core or combined? and if you over clock is it both cores or combined that over clock?
side note love that this is first tab with ddr3 lol take that xoom now if they just would have put the ips screen in it and 16 mil colors instead of 256k this would be the tab to beat hands down.
Is 1GHz per core; overclocking will increase the maximum speed of both cores. Note however, as with virtually every modern processsor, the Tegra2 throtles perfomance based on current activity to increase battery life
Thanks
I figured that was a silly question, thank you for answering. Its been 110 degrees here and I work outside, I think I baked my brain because as of late simple things really confuss me. LOL thanks again.

Only ARM Cortex-A7 running in Exynos 5 Octa core processor

Just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 internatiional version with Exynos 5 a few days back.
According to the SYSTEM TUNER App my SGS 4 is using ARM Cortex-A7 core whether i run cpu demanding apps like large games or i do low cpu demanding tasks like web browsing.
Help..!!!
if it has lcd instead amoled, its possible that a7 is only used

ok is there any aap by which I can see which core is being used

thanks :good:
as i know every frequency higher than 600MHz = A15 cores
install cpu spy and post pic after some use

Lol do you really think that a quad arm a7 would score the high numbers you see in benchmarks? System tuner is not optimized to check for other cores as well I'm just guessing here
Swyped from another galaxy

[Q] SM-N900 vs SM-N9005

Hello,
I have seen that this question has been asked in the forum a lot of times but still I didn't seen unequivocal answer.
Here we can see that N900 is better than N9005 at AnTuTu Benchmark and some other benchmarks.
on the other hand Here we can see that N9005 is better than in the most benchmarks.
So My questions are:
1. N9005- SD800 is 1Xphysical quad core(4 Cores) that runs at 2.3GHZ ?
2. N900- Exynos 5420 is 2X physical quad core(8 Cores) that runs 1.8GHz + 1.3GHz (If yes why we cannot see the ARM Cortex-A7 1.3 in CPU-Z soc section)?
3. N9005 have less free RAM than N900 by default?
4. So Which version is more powerful (Lets leave the 4k and LTE features)?
5. I have read that should be a fix to Exynos 5420, can someone can expand about this info and how It should influence on the N9005 versions?
No one can help?

Processors speed

Processors speed
I am planning to buy a samsung s4 to work with my databse.
At the present moment occupies 4 Gb of disk space.
I usually run in an i7 and a dual core.
i would like to know a comparison in speed with the processor of a samsung s4.
is comparable ?
How can i determinate aproximately the velocity of my database in a samsung s4 ?
can you run without problems a CRM with 700000 registers in a samsung s4 ?
Best Regards
Speeds
I'm sure it will be slower. Propably 2-3 times.
You asked about processor speed:
SGS4 (CortexA15/4cores/1600Mhz) = ~25000 DMIPS
Intel Core i7 920 (x86/4 cores/2600Mhz) = ~82,300 DMIPS
So your desktop processor should be still faster than SGS4 processor.
And with a pentium dual-core cpu T4300 @2.10GHz how is the comparison.
Do you have a link calculator to introduce the data ?
Best Regards
:cyclops:
I tried to find the calculator Dhrystone but i couldn't
Where can i find a good tool to compare processors from several devices ?
Best Regards
That i7 is way faster than the one in the s4. Not way faster but by much.

[Q] apps that monitor cpu

Anyone knows why all apps i downloaded (cpu-z, monitor cpu, setcpu) only show max mhz at 1300?
i have a sm-g900h with arm15 cortex r2p3 , i understand that is an octa core with 4 cores at 2.1 ghz and 4 at 1.5
It is a phone problem or all these app don´t support the system?

It's likely most app do no "fully" support this new octa-core. I would suspect they only show the little CPU 4 cores @ 1.5GHz, however seeing 1.3GHz as the max is weird. In S4 octa-core, the max frequencies was used by both CPUs and frequencies below 600Mhz where meant to be used by little core (600Mhz being 1.2GHz on the little CPU, 700Mhz being exactly that on the big CPU), so there might be some similar tricks on the new S5. This would mean the kernel would only show 4 cores at any point in time.
Have you tried Android Tuner, it can adapt to any number of cores automatically (a little down arrow allows to switch to multi-core control) ? If you try it, can you post a screenshot here? I intend to buy the Galaxy S5 with 8 cores for testing purposes, so I'd be interested by first-hand screenshots, if any. You can check and post screenshots of the main CPU tab and also the Times tab which will show available cores timings for each frequencies.
