Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to change the size of the quick toggles inside the notification shade? They take up way too much space and I'd like to make them smaller/shorter if at all possible.
Thanks

I don't know but you want to use a framework-res.apk from a Samsung Note? You do understand not only that framework-res.apk is for another device, its for a modded framework of a rom for another device. Unless you want to crack open the apk and look at the code/images but even the images wouldn't work I think. Update.zip won't help you, needs to be properly ported.
Cheers

I am no themer or dev. So I don't know. I've never really looked much in to the xml files in the apk either so I wouldn't know. Everything can be ported with enough knowledge, patience and time

Transition animations for example between apps, when lock screen is opened and so on! Youtube -> /watch?v=5im5VxclHCw <- this video explains it better than me!
Have a ROM I'm playing about with but want to go more in depth. Needs backsmali so we can figure it out ans tweak. But I have limited knowledge. Anyone want to help out?
Thanks,
Sent from my JimmyMIUI v3 fuelled DHD!
you want to backsmali what? If it's an apk or jar file than use apk manager, it gives you the option to either just unpack the file, decomplie it as well as backsmali.

Hmm...everyone makes it sound easy. But its what you do to change things once you're decompiled it.....I don't know what to tweak to get what I want or what to look for to remove or change...I need someone in the know lol....

Most things can be manipulated easily within xml files without backsmali, you just need some xlm knowledge.
what are you trying to acomplish with this mod?

I am on Biggins Rom. For some reason his has the apps on the pull down. I personally hate it and wish I could get rid of it.

If you want to remove the Quick Apps, push/overwrite the systemui.apk I attached to system/priv-app/ and set the permissions properly then reboot. It should get rid of the Quick Apps since it's a vanilla systemui.apk.

I'm using this xposed module:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719909
NICE !!
Anyone know of a working smaller navbar mod (not using xposed) that works on MHC19I ? or able to point me in the direction of guide that allows me to attempt to make one myself ?
Looking to stay stock+rooted, rather than a custom rom.
TIA
EDIT - I've modified framework-res.apk for MHC19I - Grab it here. Mod changes navbar to 24 instead of 48 height.
* Backup your original /system/framework-res.apk and replace it with the download.
I'd recommend to flash resurrection remix rom where you can set the navbar to 24dp.

So I've decompiled and made the edit, recompiled and signed the apk, pushed it to my device and replaced the original.. but now it just sits on the bootup logo animination and I cant get past that stage.
Hopefully you have a backup that you can restore. If not, push the stock framework via adb

Much success now.
For anyone interested, I've posted a modded framework-res.apk in OP... Flashable Zip my next project.

Hi Peeps,
I want to change a specific icon of an app, and I want the changes to take effect on homescreen and app drawer. Ive searched for solution but what I found is just to use an app (which just create a shortcut on homescreen) and/or a launcher.
I want it to have on default TW.
Btw, I am rooted on Nougat.
Cheers!
as far as I know you can use themes / icons or you would have to decompile the apk and change the icons in the mipmap folders
