How are you turning Wi-Fi On and Off? Sounds to me like you are actually turning flight mode on/off by mistake to control Wi-Fi, which will of course turn off your phone along with Wi-Fi.

Hi all,
I've been having inconsistent Wifi and mobile data network connection since the upgrade to Kitkat. I'm on stock Kitkat 4.4.2 (GT-I9505).
For some weird reason, from time to time (say after a week of use), my S4 connection to Wifi AND 3G/LTE just doesn't work. Disabling Wifi to allow it to go onto the network, and vise versa does nothing. Setting the phone to airplane mode and then disabling airplane also did not work.
Data just isn't going through.
The only solution that works is if I restart the phone
Anybody else had this problem? Any solution?
Thanks in advance.
I have a Galaxy S5 Running Stock Android 5.0 Lollipop, sometimes I came home and found out I don't have wi-fi turned on, I went and turn on Wi-Fi, but the connection no longer works. It will work after I reboot, anyone experience this?
Have you got Smart Network Switch enabled in WiFi settings?
It causes problems for almost everyone, disable it and see if that helps
Mine is not enabled. I will try enabling it to see if it makes a difference. thanks.
