[Q] Q Phone acting weird after trying to flash rom - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys so I tried to install a custom rom (miui) on my s4 I9505 but it didnt work and my phone didnt boot anymore. I had a backup tried to restore my backup but it didnt work. I tried to instal official stock firmware for my s4. Now my phone boots up but it acts weird ( Sound doesnt work, Apps crash, no wifi, no recognition of sd card) After reading a few threats i learned that i have a so called knox? and my knox warranty void says 0x1 So i guess i dont have any warranty anymore. [Q] GS4 - How to return completely stock for warranty exchange

Hi,
I've been do many flash last 24 hours on my Galaxy S4(Model SGH-I337M, Telus). Initialy, i've the factory stock rom, rooted. So, yesterday, i've decided to install Cyanogen mods nightly on my phone. Not the first time i've been used it on my phone. No problem before. So, this night, after a friend show me the release canditate release seem to be more stable, i've been try to put it on my phone. So, accidentaly wipe all the data on my phone. When i'm back home, i've put again the samsung original rom from my operator(4.2.2), found here, on the website, whit odin. All completed succefully, but i've noticed that the wifi won't turn on after the flash, and no sound from the speaker. So, i've put Cyanogen nigthlies again to test if it rom relative, but same issues here, no sound, but the wifi was working. The phone was very instable, so. Then, finaly, put the original rom again, without any rooting. Stuck on samsung logo, that i've finaly got fixed by clear the data and cache. But, no sound, and no wifi. Instable too.
Precision about phone: Unlocked whit the service mode(work), and enabled AWS whit a software and file(tutorial found here)
My question is: Anything else i can do to make my phone work fine again, and does it's possible to make the phone totaly stock? When i boot up, i've noticed that the phone, whit all rom i've try, said on samsung logo: Kernel is not sendroid enfonced, warranty status: kernel, so i can't go to return my phone on warranty whit that. How i can erase that line, and make my phone seem to be no modified?
Just to specify, it's not the first time i flash a phone. Do many flash, whit galaxy s2, s3 and s4, and sure, mine. Got try Cyanogen, stock, know how Odin work and all, try many rom, and before today, never has any problem to do turn back, but now, it's seem to be impossible.
Thank you very much for your help, very appreciated!
I would flash the stock firmware with odin again. After flashing do a factory reset in the stock recovery.

I've just try this. Flash the stock rom whit odin, and factory reset on original recovery after. Same, no wifi, no any sound.
Just see yesterday, when i'm flashing, i'm flashing on the bootloader in odin(whit the tar for the stock rom). Today, correct this by flash on the pda section, still not work. Found here on the forum the stock bootloader, rom, csc, and modem, but when i do this whit odin, odin said fail.
Thank very much, i think my phone is dead, and nothing to do to exchange it on warranty.
I think Kies has an emergency firmware recovery mode.... maybe that'll work.

Just try this. Kies is the worst software i've ever see. The software completely freeze random. When i go to the emergency menu, never, kies recognize my phone here. I've tried to plug my phone, no recognized. Tried without plug it, no recognized. When i plug it, kies said connection in progress, and can stay here 30 min.
I'm a idea of what is my problem. Before do install of cyanogen, i've been applied the samsung official 4.3 update, whit knox. And, according to what i read on many forum, knox is not ereasable, So, it's completely freeze my phone, and nothing to do.
Anyone have the factory telus bootloader and other factory stock items because i want to put it stock.
Thank.
Finally get problems fixed by take the TELUS stock 4.3 ROM and flash it whit Odin. After, can flash cyanogen nightlies again and the phone work well again.
Whit the stock ROM, didn't see any line on the Samsung boot logo that i've rooted. After root this appear again. Knox regardless of ROM installed said 0x1.
If anyone have a fix to put it again 0x0 very appreciated otherwise the phone work fine and thank you very much for your help.

@Spacemonkie4207 never my itune was freeze, and i can do basic operation like transfer music or create playlist without any problem. My kies stay on connection in progress, and turn, turn, turn, but never connect. And when it connect, only one operation, and kies completely freeze, stop responding, need to close it, and open it again. Tried many cable, usb cable, reinstalling software, two other computer, but nothing to do.
I recovered back to stock from custom to 4.3 however if you do so, depending on carrier you could lose root and the ability to install custom recovery.
I would revert back to 4.2.2 (as it's knox free) go to samsungupdates (google it) and pull the 4.2.2 for your region and carrier. flash with odin 3.9
you'll lose root, but you can always perform again as long as not on 4.3 (with 4.3 u can still root if you remove all the knox stuff, u just lose warranty).

UID Inconsistent error: Need help in hard resetting phone

Hi,
I am plannning to sell my i9500 model. I was using Arrow Rom V11 (4.3 without knox) before deciding this. In order to give valid warranty phone to the buyer, I ventured into installing stock 4.3 rom on the phone. As I a, from India, I have downloaded Indian 4.3 stock firware from Sammobile and flashed through ODIN. When the flashsin is done, the I am getting this "UID Inconsistent" message and along with many other"process stopped" messgaes. so I am not even abnle to get into settings menu to do a factory reset.
I read somewhere that "finxing permissions" through TWRP will solve the problem. But that will create another problem to me i.e lost warranty. (As i have already flashed 4.3 stock, Knox is set in).Hence I am not sure what to do make the phone function normally?
I want to keep installing custom recovery as last option. Btw, I am not able to get into recoverymode (even stock recovery) by pressing volume up+power+home buttons. When I try that phone flashes andorid symbol momentaorly and then reboots.
It will be great if you can offer some help! thanks in advance!!!
1. Ur warranty is void (Knox 0x1) -> No warranty in some country, in others yes.
2. Install TWRP and fix perms for solve ur problems
3. Reboot and take a look if all is correct
4. Reflash STOCK ROM for let ur phone like STOCK (but with knox actived -> no solution for that atm)

[Q] Lost EFS potentially

So after flashing a few things, something went wrong big time. Phone barely makes it to the lock screen and when it does, it says System is not responding and then automatically reboots. In that brief time I see the dreaded no signal icon.
Have tried restoring stock firmware via Odin and it still leads to the same lock screen issue every time (used this very same file to restore to stock before without any issues). To add salt to the wound, my SD card got corrupted (stupid SanDisk I should have learned from past experiences) which is where I kept my EFS backup. This is on a N900W8, with Knox tripped 0x1 so no chance of warranty.
Do I have quite the expensive paperweight on my hands here now? It seems so but hopefully there is a light at the end of the tunnel for me

Out of curiosity, did you have the new bootloader or the old and did you try to dowgrade the firmware?
If you did it might be part of the problem...
Reflash MJ7 in ODIN and that should fix it but you will now have new bootloader that will trip Knox counter when rooted.

No I have not tried downgrading, the Odin firmware I use was always the latest MJ4
Since you've tripped KNOX try this link it'll fix your efs issues.

It does work, bailed me out and many others. You'll have to go with a custom recovery though to be able to use it. Just boot into download, install custom recovery then flash the zip fix and you're sorted.

[Q] recovery & rom problem

Hi!
I have been rooting with CF autoroot and cwm (old version 6.0.4?) and Omega V.19. Been having alot of issues with closed calls and freezing. 3-finger recovery/download mode have not worked either. Have to go by "restart meny"... When apps is looking to yppgrade my cwm it doesn't find any for my model!? And so on!!!
Now I have tried to role back to stock (so I can claim warranty), but no succses!
After many attempts I got TW recovery on it, but can only access using the restart meny. Everytime i start it i get seandroid enforcing, kernel bit somthin something... In download mode I try to flash with odin stock 4.1.2 but get fail all the time. Even though I have not gone past Omega V19 i also have knox void 0x1!???
What to do?
Edit:
Got CWM touch in now but no luck witht the rest. As Odin fails I get "unsupport dev_type" on my phone. But I have chosen the nordic version i9505!?
Edit2:
With the exact same basbandversion xxuame2 it worked! but no it doesn't get passed the "samsung" startscreen;( And without being able to go into download mode via restart meny inside the rom I cant flash it!? I have restarted several times and taken out the battery...
Edit3:
So I have got 4.2.2 now. It's not working good howe ever. No WIFI and no calls. BTW it was a two finger combo (without meny) to get into recovery/download mode. How do I get rid of the text up top to the left on the screen on boot? Doesn't look "stock" to me;(
How do I return it to stock. I have no triangle or counter , just binary custom and the 0x1...

SOLVED;
"Official" 4.4.2 via odin solved all my issues Do I have a knox problem now, I dont know!?
Boot to download mode and check.
Knox Warranty Void is probably triggered. 0x1
Anyway, it does'nt really matter.
Yeah if you tried any root method and/or installed a custom ROM Knox Warranty Void would be triggered and after researching there's no way to fix that. The warranty void doesn't affect the phone's performance at all so really nothing to worry about.

[Q] Quick help is appreciated!

I searched the internet to find a solution , i was unable to find a solution that was directly linked to my problem or concern i would say. To get on with it i have a n900(Yeah i know dev support suks). I am completely stock and knox warranty is also valid(=0). I recently wanted to flash custom roms and kernels. I have about 2 months of warranty left on this phone, so what do you guys suggest?. The system status will certainly change to 'custom'. Is there a way to restore it back to official , like can u find official recovery of the n900. I just want that if i ever want to sell it, everything except for knox is reset back to normal. Thanks!
No. You can't. I suggest you to wait.
If you want root use towelroot.
If you want a custom recovery use safestrap
Both app don't alterate knox.
I will flash a custom kernel when cm12 will be out for our phone
Once you trip KNOX, it's done and can't be changed. If I recall correctly, there have been experimental tests done for Exynos version of Note 3 in order to reset KNOX flag, but I can't remember the result (may be wrong).
As for System Status and Current Binary, these can be reset to Official via Triangle Away, if you got stock kernel and recovery. You can flash stock firmware via ODIN to get these.

On n900 exynos you can reset knox flashing a particular kernel. (I don't know if it works now)

- Flashing custom rom/kernel will trip the Knox.
- The Knox can be reset on N900 (I don't remember where is the instruction).
- Flashing the stock firmware will restore the system status to official.
