And switched back to the native browser.
Got extremely sick of abysmal scrolling performance (made me feel like I was using my Touch Pro) and after switching back to stock I now realize how slowly Chrome was loading pages. And a recent bug that resulted in Chrome saving any MP3 with an MPGA extension and stripped ID3 tags for no damn reason.
The only feature I can say I miss is the sharing of open tabs and bookmarks across devices
Can any other browsers sync with desktop Chrome, well, without being Chrome?
I wish I could do that, loved the browser on my galaxy nexus, but chrome sucks
I would get the original browser but idk how to root

as much as i want to be on the bleeding edge, i de-installed that one. using pages like xda and responding got so bad it was basically useless. i dunno what google is doing there. writing a browser is probably harder than writing an OS, but still, the others can do it to some extend, why not el goog.
I use Opera Mobile, works perfectly and syncs with Google (Chrome favourites on the phone). Loads much quicker as downloaded data is beeing compressed and unpacked.

You don't know how to root your NEXUS 4? Wow, absolutely no excuses, go download the toolkit and let it do it all for you then.

Or better yet use ADB and fastboot instead of a toolkit and learn something about your phones
for me dolphin has been the best browser by far, it's fast and smooth and doesn't lag like the chrome browser.

I use AOSP right now because it feels quicker than Chrome, but I miss my bookmarks.
Boat browser, because it has flash support!

Next browser. It feels a tiny bit faster than the Chrome browser + I like it's Icon
Chrome Beta because it's gestures to change tabs is good and sync to chrome on desktop function is useful!

I recently read that in the AOSP browser, all the saved data is in plaintext. Switched to chrome after that.
Maybe im a bit paranoid, but thats ok
A. Chrome because of the syncing.
B. Can I install the old stock browser on unrooted android? I don't use it much but Id like it back for the, even if limited, flash support.

Habit Browser. It has a lot of features. (e.g. changing tabs with gesture, quick menues, flash support etc.)
I have chrome of course, opera, Firefox, and Dolphin. I like to use all of them. I have to say I really like the gesture bookmarks in Dolphin. That one may be the one I use most currently. But I am testing a lot of them.

I don't follow what you are saying. Any app that stores passwords locally even encrypted with a key is not secure on rooted devices since all they need is the encryption key. My guess is Google does this on purpose since obfuscation would just make people think it is secure without it actually being secure.

(logic dictates that) An app that stores passwords with an encryption key would not make that key easily available to other apps. Maybe im wrong and even encryption stored passwords are easily accessed. Makes me all the more thankful for PDroid.
Chrome of course! Simple and fast. I like stock browser too. Tried next browser and I really liked it. For simplicity, speed, and just everyday surfing chrome for me hands down!

Hi guys, so I have had my note for about a day now and have noticed that the stock browser doesn't have all my bookmarks! Also had a look in sync settings and there is no option to sync bookmarks. Anyone know of any workarounds?
Thanks

Samsung has removed the support for syncing Google Bookmarks from their Browser, which is one of the stupidest things they have done. They now want you to use your Samsung account

Using Dolphin since it can work with the hacked Flash apk.
Anyone know if any apps have working text reflow AND sync with desktop chrome or google? Flash would be a bonus but at this point I am really not happy with googles decision to kill text reflow.

This is driving me nuts, there has to be a way to have re-flow and sync!

Agreed, I'm going back to 4.3. I cannot have a phone without a broswer that doesn't suck!
Browser bowser
I use dolphin for most non flash sites. The hacked flash worked for one or two page loads, then kaput. I uninstalled it then went back to a different flash apk with firefox. Together they work, but sputter.
Why can't the 4.3.1 brower work on NC2 or NC4?

It allows you to put bookmarks from the internet browser in to the Edge panel so you can go directly to specific web pages from the Edge

I think I'd really like the bookmark edge panel... if it worked with Chrome. I prefer Chrome because the bookmarks from my two Laptops and tablet both are automatically synced with my Edge...
Anyway. Just not as useful as it only works with stock browser.

It means that the bookmarks you choose from come from the stock browser, but when you click the bookmark on the edge panel, you can open them in whatever browser you have set as your default. Or if you don't have a default browser set, you have the option to open the bookmark in whatever browser you want.

better than nothing I guess....
I'm really digging the edge screen a lot. I like its functionality and how it helps me to cut down on the normal process is it takes to move around the phone. The only problem with the new bookmark each panel is that they make so many great apps that I don't really have any use for it like I would have a couple of years ago. Amazon, eBay, Sports Center and a whole lot of other sites that I used to visit are now made in the app so I don't have to bookmark a lot of things. The only site that I actually do you the bookmark for is XDA Developers. Lol. I don't like the app that is made for this site so the book mark is just for this. Go figure.
