I generally hate the look of the touchwhiz UI, but I've managed to come to terms with it by using replacement apps and xposed modifications, in order to make it more like stock. The only thing thats still bothering me is the stock notification bar icons. Does anyone know of a way to replace them, without flashing a new rom?

I'm looking for a ROM that blends the Holo UI with TouchWiz apps (like S Memo, Planner, Adapt Sound...) for my I9505. Has to be stable, as I do not want to be flashing bug fixing updates everyday.
So far I've checked Foxhound, seems good but it looks like it's only a dark version of TouchWiz. The Nature UX 5 is annoying me, and I miss the Holo UI.
The ROM needs to be stable, ready for everyday use, packing S Memo/Planner and music app, AirView/Gesture, Camera and, if possible, CMAccount, transparent status bar, working Focal and everything else working fine.
Bonus: what do you guys think it's the best/most recommended TouchWiz and AOSP ROM?
Bonus 2: is there a Samsung Music widget that's transparent, or a third party widget that controls the music app?
And if I ever want to go back to stock TouchWiz 4.2.2, what is the procedure?

Check out the *new ROMs at the link below (*dev is currently working to get them uploaded), there are AOSP themed dark and light version of the latest touchwiz ROMs, so you get the AOSP look without losing the TW apps.

Hey all, I have a few Touchwiz questions that I'm hoping someone can help me answer:
I'm using apex launcher, and I'm trying to match my apex wallpaper to the lockscreen wallpaper. But when I go to the lockscreen wallpaper in settings, it only allows me to choose a few OEM wallpapers. How can I get the apex wallpaper onto the lock screen?
This is a minor annoyance, but is there a way I can theme the top of my phone where it tells me the time/cell signal to look like stock ICS? The touchwiz icons are really big and don't look that great, while taking up a lot of space.
In the very least, is there a way for me to leave nfc, but not have the icon show up?
Thanks! I'm trying to give tochwiz a chance, but I'm really missing stock!
I like simple and clean homescreens myself and the dock bar with the indicator kind of annoys me on stock launcher. Is there any way to remove/hide it?
You can customize so many things with xposed tweaks, I can't believe I can't get rid of the dock.
I don't really want to use a different launcher, I have Nova, but the stock one seems more fluid to me, plus I like the knock knock feature (I know I could use it on the status bar, but meh).
i agree i was thinking the same thang ....hopefully xposed will add this feature. I also really like stock launcher i just want the dock to be gone...
I'm looking for a grid mod (an extra row in height, not an extra column to increase the width) for Touchwiz on 4.4.2 (SecLauncher3.apk). I have tried the Xposed 'Stock Launcher 5x4 Modification' module but it doesn't have any effect so I assume it's for a previous version of the launcher on the S2/S3 etc. I have also tried a few modded TW launchers from 4.2.2 on the S4, not holding much hope that they would work, and they didn't.
Has anyone got something to allow this? I really like TW as a launcher (especially now Unicon on Xposed allows the icons to be changed like any other launcher) but the grid size is simply a deal breaker for me and an additional horizontal row would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance.
Use nova launcher?
I do currently. But I want dock icon labels, and for some strange bizarre reason (despite multiple requests from a lot of people), neither Nova or Apex have that as an option, despite it being a very easy thing to implement. Also, I really like the stock transparent weather widget more than any other I have tried (and I have tried them all), but it only runs under TW thanks to Samsung's framework being a requirement.
Anyone got any suggestions with this?
hey guys, i've been looking for ages but can't find what i'm looking for, was wondering if anyone knows where i could find a mod, to replace the touchwiz home screen's carousel effect with the new s5/old icecream sandwich "card stack?" effect without using another launcher, i'm looking for a flashable zip or a xposed framwork module that can be used on touchwiz, sumthin like this must surely exist?
thanks

Wanam offers three minor tweaks to TW launcher (among many other valuable phone tweaks):
1 – infinite scrolling on/off
2 – wall paper scroll with pages on/off
3 – dock icon labels on/off

I’m not so sure. Using Xposed to tweak the stock launcher seems like unnecessary overkill (considering the huge doorway into your phone's security that you give to every dev who's module you install). People who want to customize launchers generally go with alternate launcher. Then you don't even have to reboot to try out changes (like Xposed would have to). Nova would be my recommendation. I know it’s not the recommendation you’re looking for but you got it anyway.

this is exactly what i figured, i found those options in exposed but not quite what i'm lookin for.
i used nova launcher on my s3 for a year and loved it, i just want to keep my high def lookin stock touchwiz icons since the nova launcher icons look like they belong in the 90's, i seen a stock touchwiz icon looking pack for nova launcher but they didn't have that "high def" look/feel to them (no shadows/reflections? or bad shading? on the icons, i dunno they just look bland compared to stock icons where they feel kinda 3d)
the reason i don't wanna use nova launcher is because if i do use nova launcher and go back to that stock android feeling i midaswell be on stock android itself, GPE or Cyanogenmod and it feels to bland which is why i'm on a touchwiz based rom.
i'm just kinda hopeing someone will come along with an idea of how i can impliment this without removing touchwiz launcher, ORRR maby get the real stock touchwiz icons (the acual stock ones, not just look alikes) into nova launcher.
