Hi guys,
I have a problem with the file 9.png, using draw9patch and recompiling everything on the phone will continue to see the black lines, is a problem of LG?
Has anyone found a solution? :crying:
when the 9.png file is decompiled,
before work on it with photoshop, you have to rename the file deleting the .9 extension.

please can anyone help me by uploading this file?
If you ask nice ?
Well here you go,
OMG thank you thank you!!
If you delete the messed up file using TotalCommander or RescoExplorer you automatically restore the file that was in the ROM

I am! Even after five months
I have an .apk file which containing the new HTC keyboard, and I tried to translate the Russian layout to Hebrew so I'll be able to use any ROM which use this keyboard (I can't find the original Android SK on the ROM).
There is no problem to find the Russian XML files, but it's all compiled to a strange binary XML.. can someone help me with it? is there any way to decompile it to a normal XML again and then recompile it so i'll be able to override the original on my system?
thanks in advance
Avi
You would have to use a hex editor. More helpful information may be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=479019
AXMLPrinter2:

Stericson's hex editing tutorial:

Thanks you two
I wish we'll have an app in the future (maybe i'll write one ) that can easly decompile/recompile - just like we have for mode9 files etc.
A problem, I can only decode it to a normal txt file - but I can't recode it back to that binary xml format...
How can I do that?

Hi man, I'm already using AXMLPrinter2.jar to decode the xml file, that's not the problem. I'm looking for a way to recode it back to binary - and jashsu says it's in the SDK, but we have there about 100 different tools so I asked him which one is to recode a simply xml to binary xml that's fits Android
do you know?
Hey Avi,
why don't you use the hebrew keyboard that already published in iandroid.co.il forums?

Well, first of all I'm using it now and it's great.. but still the HTC official keyboard looks bigger and wider for me, plus there is a space there (in the Russian layout) for question mark etc...

Hi leboreiro
Dude, yes, you have a back up!!!
It's inside your ROM zip file. Go there and extract it
But be careful, the bootanimation file you are demanding is the binary not the animation 'per se'.
The boot animations that actually are played can be located inside \system\media\
- bootsamsung.qmg
- bootsamsungloop.qmg
- shutdown.qmg
You already have all of them
Nice regards.

I think to look inside the bootanimation file in system/bin and edit it if i can. Your idea? Please tell me the tool and process or about the knowledge I must have.
Thank in advance though you can help or not my old friend.

Hi Guys,
I have been looking into porting of Galaxy S5 toolbox for Note 3.
I have decompiled all the S5 files (SecSettings, Framework-res, SystemUI) and found that it is possible to port it to Note 3 (I might be wrong);
But I don't have fluent knowledge of .smali files, Somehow I manage to understand something by converting .smali files into .java..
So can some dev help me, so that we can work together for porting toolbox to Stock firmware of Note 3.
Thanks.

Hi,
No need to make changes in SecSettings and SystemUI..?
For S5, I found that most piece of code is present in SecSettings.
Thanks.

I found all the files except ViewRootImp.smali in framework2.jar.
Are you sure that file is present?
And I found a whole folder named TwToolBox with all smali files in framework2.jar.

Hi. Thanks for your help.
I got all the files you mentioned.
What should I do now?
I have to copy those changes to my Note 3 jar files? And recompile it?
That's it?
Or any other things I have to take care of?
