Hi I don't normally post in here except when it's pretty serious...
So I just bought my LG g2 last Thursday and it was fine till I notice the battery hasn't been doing so well
I charged it to 100 last night and woke up and it was down to 70
I turned off all location, wifi, I have greenify installed and gps off
It seems the Android system is eating much of it while in deeps leap
Any ideas? Already rebooted many times

Im almost positive its that stupid CIQ, carriers are putting on the lg g2.
I have the D802 International version and I have the same issue and I don't know why. I've uninstalled a lot of LG apps and useless apps and it still consuming a lot more than the screen.
Always consumes more than the screen, it's weird because it's a large and FHD screen, so I think is some app eating battery, but in wakelock detector and other apps I can't find anything.

Interesting thing happened: used the phone for a whole 12 hours and its at 54% ...with heavy use of the browser, music, YouTube and games ...
Couple things I did diffrently were charge to the phone to 100% then reboot(really fast reboot so its not a hassle) went to task manager > settings > stop services and I checked some services that had tons of em like Facebook Google services that I don't use and last thing I did was uninstall swype cuz the day I used it I saw significant battery drain...
So I'm guessing its one of these methods ...

Maybe! I searched it up and they say you can disable the tmobiles IQ by going to settings > backup and reset > diagnostics
I disabled it now so hopefully that helps too

Check your running services.
What carrier are you with?
Are you in a poor signal area?
Do you use WiFi at home?
Install the battery guru app from the play store. It learns your usage & can manage a lot of things to minimize drain.

Check the stock battery stats. Also, you may consider using a 3rd party battery stats application.
I was having some drain issues with Google Services. It turned out there was a Google Contacts sync issue caused by setting the ICE Contacts within the phone. I didn't quite have the drain you are having but there was VERY noticeable differences from before and after.

Battery is really different to gauge between users, carriers etc... I've had great battery life with the latest CM Rom 10.2 Nightly. Bloatware kills battery.

Is your GPS constantly activating ? It's probably either Google services tracking your location for Google now, or Carrier IQ. I had this issue a while back, and it doesn't show in a wake lock detector. Its a carrier installed program that tracks the GPS location of your phone without your consent. Search for it here, you'll find a few threads on how to remove it.

Battery
Chances are good that it could POSSIBLY be a bad unit. I've seen posts about battery issues when looking up a solution for mine. Sometimes the phone will just not charge, and it would get really hot. I recently had to call warranty and have them send me a new phone. I hope they don't find out I've rooted it LOL
I'm not really sure how to get rid of the traces aside from unrooting :/
Here's what worked for me

I removed the contacts from the ICE listing. If you still have trouble you can use an app called Contacts Sync Fix that fixes most problems.
I need help with my g2. my battery life on this phone is very inconsistent, sometimes i can go 50+ hours on it with 6 hours screen time, but lately my battery has been draining for no reason at all. Im not even using the phone and its rapidly draining for no reason. This all started happening when the gps kept on turning on i read about the carrier iq service and the google location to turn them off. But it doesn't really help much. On my battery manager it says that the android system is first with like 85% or more and it says that my gps has been on for hours and hours even though it hasn't. I don't know what to do i can barely make it through a day now. Should i root my phone? I like the lg ui and i want to keep all of the features such as q slide and especially knock on and off. Can someone help me out if you have had the same experiences. I want to turn off the iq agent permanently. Is this possbile? I have never rooted a device before so im a complete beginner.

Download better battery stats and see what wakelocks are causing the drain. Are you using Google+? Are you on Wi-Fi all day? Have you tried uninstalling all your apps and adding them back one at a time until you find the culprit? Something is keeping your phone running...

Yes i have downloaded better battery stats, and im not using google plus. And im not on wifi all day. The battery is just draining for no reason i even end alot of the running apps such as google location service, facebook, carrier iq agent. I was wondering if i could root my phone and delete carrier iq and get those apps that can help with the battery life, yet keep the original lg ui with all the features.

I've been having battery issues lately and i noticed that my Android System battery usage is just through the roof. last night it was at 100% charge at around 2AM and when i woke up at 11AM it was floating around 51% charge and the Android System Usage was at 50%. Is there any fix to this because it is really killing my battery life and ruining my experience.
I was running Nova and thought that was the issue so i uninstalled it, but it didnt seem to do anything. It seemed to be worse with the account and sync off and locations off, but thats just bizarre. I am also running dashclock pro but i doubt that is what is causing it. I uninstalled every app that i dont regularly use and the usage is about the same.
I am running Stock 4.4.2 on my phone is that helps.
Edit - Also, when i turned everything off, it seems to be using the WiFI almost non stop. I have no background tasks or anything. I'm thinking its CarrierIQ thing on ATT but i dont see a way to disable it on KitKat

Wouldnt i have to root to get rid of them?
Also i think i fixed it by uninstalling all the updates for each ATT app, force stopping, and disabling them. My battery returned to normal.
I have just bought Xperia Z3 Compact 6 - 7 days ago.
Battery time was more than perfect.
BUT my phone asked me to install 23.0.1.A.5.77 Update.
After update, battery life is very very bad now.
I did a factory reset, but nothing has changed.
Still the same update. Still terrible battery time.
Thanks
You didn't ask a question so I presume you'd like to revert this update...?
If so, grab FlashTool, install its drivers, and find an FTF of an older update, then flash it. It does not void your warranty and it does not harm your device.
Same problem here, specially when the screen is off.
Something is draining 15% of the juice per night.
- Stamina Mode on
- 3g on
- Whatsapp, Pushbullet and Timely in the "exclusion list"
I had similar issues. Also with tap2wake.
Solution: Reverted back to .98 with flashtool. Now its awesome again.
I had 0% drain overnight last night with this update

If you mean Diagnostics under 'About phone'. I went through all the tests, nothing crashes on mine? Or do do mean elsewhere?
Yes, I meant that, and then the second option "phone characteristic" or something like that, then you see how many times the phone crashed and what processes are involved

Say, how many different threads do we need to have on 23.0.1.A.5.77?
Really, this is at least the 3rd one... Please join the ones that already exist, they do address the battery "issue" as well.

I too am having terriblr battery drain after updating to 23.0.1.A.5.77, I've tried everything; Factory Reset, Flashing back to previous builds. All to no avail.
I've installed Gsam Battery monitor and it tells me that 'Android System' is constantly draining and is at the top of the list.......
I really dont know what to do.
haven't noticed anything different really after the update. the battery life seems the same
I noticed battery drains on my Z3 after the .77 update so I did a clean reflash and after letting it settle in for a few days the battery is back to performing awesomely
I heard such battery issues and still went ahead to see does it really hungers your phone so did the update and I hardly notice any unusual battery drain.
My screen shows 45-61% battery usage and rest all fine. Dont know how to reduce that but its ok.
I get 2 1/2 days battery easily without any stamina mode activated so I guess it pretty awesome. :fingers-crossed::good:
Hi, I did not find a battery drain on my z3c but did find out something on my prev. phone, the z2, my phone went battery hungry after flashing update so I gave it 2 days to settle. The drain kept, driving me nuts. I than did a full wipe didnt help. After formating the sdcard away was the battery drain! Probably some corrupted file or sector on the SD kept the phone draining the batt.
Also seen on other phones that some malfunctioning simcard could disrupt the stability and power usage. Some operators use cheap cards that can just die on there own.

I have noticed that this phone the Motorola moto e4 has a really bad battery drain and it looks like that FMRadioService might be the problem I am not for sure but I would like to ask other people what they are getting so we can figure this out
I have the FM radio disabled and don't really have many battery issues. I've been on my phone since I took it off the charger three hours ago, overclocked cpu on performance mode, and brightness all the way up and this is what I'm at.

Thanks madbat99. In Settings-> Battery, I find that the main culprit (48%) is Screen. I wonder what the reason can be, since most of the time screen is switched off.

That means your phone has recorded the screen taking up the most. If your not using the screen much, it could be that your phone is not recording the record of the real reason. Hard to diagnose on a non rooted device. You can try greenify (it has some non root functions). From the playstore. But it's hard to say if it will help until you try it
My current battery. With alot of use so far.
Sitting overnight, no drain while idle.
My idle drain averages 0.6%/hr on stock with all radios on, location services on, full push mail (50+ messages/day) and active display enabled. Device sleeps like a baby yet remains fully functional and engaged with the outside world. Can get several days of light use on a single charge. XT1768 unlocked, rooted (Magisk) with no social media apps (prefer lite alternatives). Living under a rock has it's advantages.
