I was wondering if you could have a transparent lock screen on the N3.
I use an app that sets my wallpaper daily so when I goto my lockscreen settings it just lets me pick from wallpapers.
Is there any way I can just set the lockscreen to be transparent ?
You can try to use multipicture live wallpaper: this will allow you to set and daily change wall for both lock and system screen.
As I understand you want to have the same picture on both screens AND have automatic daily change. I had this problem some time ago and multipicture solved it (thanks to recommendation by some good soul here at XDA).

I use ADW Launcher and I can change my wallpaper on my homescreen but my lockscreen wallpapers always remain the same ! I have tried default launcher and there is the same thing, my wallpaper is on homescreen but when I lock my phone there is wallpaper that Ive had a week ago. What could be the problem and how can I change that lockscreen wallpaper ? I am really lost, dont have a clue. My phone is rooted.
Tnx a lot
EDIT: restart was needed, now it is also on the lockscreen. Modes can delete this.

it has been way too long since i used WM6.5...but if i remember correctly, there are THREE wallpapers that can be set independently of one another:
1. the lock screen wallpaper (there are tools to set this but can also be manually set by placing a path to whatever wallpaper you want in some lock screen XML file)
2. the start menu wallpaper (same as your homescreen wallpaper when Sense is NOT running)...you can set this by going into Settings->Personal->Themes (i seriously don't remember the exact way to get to the theme settings)
3. this wallpaper takes effect when Sense is set as your homescreen. it can be set from within some menu of Sense itself.
i think you are asking about point 2 above...see if that helps!
Currently I have two homescreens with a scrollable wallpaper. When I first added the wallpaper, the widgetlocker screen would have the part of the wallpaper that is on screen two. Now it's moved to screen one for some reason and I'd like to change it back to the way it was as I'd moved the widgets around to fit in with the colour of the background.
Thanks
In the widgetlocker settings u can tick Alternate wallpaper and select the part which you want
Ah, I downloaded the wallpaper using the Backgrounds app. I dont think it saves to a place where I can view it.
edit: nevermind theres an option to save it on the app. Thanks!
So I have a few questions I have yet to find questions to anywhere.
1) Why when I set the wallpaper from an icon pack does it only change the homescreen and not the lockscreen? This is with multiple icon packs and I cannot figure out why. It seems like I always have to go through settings to change both at the same time, but this will not let me use icon pack wallpapers.
2) Why am I forced to use the light unlock effect when using a live wallpaper? I have mine set to no effect, but as soon as I set a live wallpaper I am forced back to the light effect and the setting to change it is greyed out.
Thanks for the help guys. Sorry if there are already enough questions on this.
Hello,
With the new interface we have 3 screens
AOD
Lock Screen
Dock screen
Ok when we want to change wallpapers we have
Wallpapers
Infinity live paper
Yes why not, but the infinity are both for the dock and lock screen. If i want a picture for the lock and a live wallpaper for the dock. How can i do that.
Impossible. The only way is to have a live wallpaper that u can open in the drawer and go to the list !!! fantastic no !! (see my screenshot)
Same for the lock screen
Before we can add widget on it like sahk widget and shortcuts. effects on the lock was ripple effects and firefly. Now we can't. No widget, no effect, if someone have an idea. It will be cool because the lock screen on th market seems not to be fine
Live wallpapers are fun but my experience has always been that they degrade the overall performance of the phone. I installed Google Wallpapers and it automatically cycles wallpapers once a day. I may try the live wallpapers again but in my opinion they aren't worth the performance hit.
I have a HD live wallpaper on my galaxy s8 and I see no degration in performance and it sucks very little battery to the point I can't really notice it. The issue I have is I can't seem to have a live wallpaper on my lock screen as I can't see an option in the settings. On my galaxy s5 I could have both a live wallpaper on my home screen and a different live wallpaper on my lock screen but on the s8 I can't seem to do that?
From where i can change 3rd party live wallpaper?
I use "Hologram Background" to set my homescreen with a 3D live wallpaper, and I leave my lockscreen with a static wallpaper. No performance or noticeable battery degradation whatsoever when used with Nova Launcher. You can also set a live wallpaper for the lockscreen only, and static for home if you want.
