Unable to disable vibrate notification within apps - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
There seem to be a bug with the notification control on the Note 3. I am unable to disable vibrate notification for most of my email apps. This include gmail, outlook.com and good for enterprise. I disable the vibrate option within the app but still have the issue. Anyone else experiencing this?
Didn't have this issue with my note ii.

Notification light with Gmail app

Is anyone else's notification light not blinking when you receive an email in Gmail via Google apps account? I get the notification tone while the screen is off but the light never blinks. Works fine with AIM though. Just wondering if anyone has this issue. Thanks!

[Q] No SMS notification at all--sound or icon

A few days ago, I've lost the sms notification for the default Samsung Messaging app. If I install Go SMS, I get notifications, but not with the default messaging app, which I prefer.
I've checked all settings and have notifications turned on, but still not getting any notifications. It's not a volume issue--volume is at 100%. I don't get a sound or an icon. I've searched the web and found that others are having similar issues, without solution.
I must have turned something off or something conflicts with it, but I've tried everything that I can to fix it and am at a loss. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Have you definitely gone into sms then settings and made sure notifications are on ? If so I'd try turning off the notifications thrn closing up sms then going back in to turn on. If no go maybe uninstall go sms for now and try again

Tried all of the above and still no go.
Do you have something else set as your default message app?

Messaging app was set to default, but once I uninstalled go sms, everything worked. Thanks!

Notification issues with CyanogenMod

I've had this problem since 10.1 and it continues on 10.2
In messaging custom notification tone and vibrate settings do not stick at all. They stick in messaging settings but when a SMS arrives it buses the Android default notification tone and default vibration pattern.
In GMail my device vibrates with incoming email although that option isn't checked in GMail settings. Also when I delete a message via the option in the notification itself the device alerts me again via sound and vibrate like a new message is coming in even though i'm deleting a message.
I think there is a bug in CMs notification enhancements that doesn't play well with these two apps.
Anyone else having this or had it and have a cure?

I have the same issue on Cyanogenmod 10.2 for my Galaxy S4. I've been searching for a resolution or someone else with the problem and this the only thread I've been able to find.
What's strange is the notifications seem to work fine at first, but after some time passes I get the annoying alert on delete from notification bar issue. I also want to set my Gmail to not vibrate and have a silent alert tone, but it doesn't want to stick just like you said.
I've also tried stock Android 4.3 as a test and the notifications work fine, so I think this is just a Cyanogenmod issue? Have you had any luck resolving this?
I figured it out. It has to do with the profiles option in cyanogenmod. There's an option for Gmail notifications by default. If you disable profiles, the notification settings in Gmail are followed. Otherwise, they will be overrided by the settings in cyanogenmod profiles.

Had the same problem. I just deleted the gmail app group from the profile settings and it works fine now. Thanks for posting to solution
Thanks

I'd been fighting this for a week, changing the default messaging app, setting different sounds in all apps. I never thought about the profiles affecting it. Finally, I have control again.

Been annoyed by a similar problem (no notification sounds at all, even when volume was turned up) until I found this thread. Simply disabling all profiles from the CM settings seems to have cleared this up! Thanks for the tip!

[Q] App for Notification on pc?

Hi. I tend to keep my phone in a silent plus no vibrate mode at work. I wanted to know if there was an app that would let me know when my phone was ringing and text messages, so that I don't miss them when they arrive.
I've seen the android desktop notification, but that only shows what is on the notification bar.
I'd like something that informs me of calls too.

[Q] Icon Notifications not showing

The notifications on my note 3 don't show. They show in the task bar but not on the icon itself. For example FaceBook doesn't show notifications on the icon for when you have missed alerts nor does Words with Friends show it's your turn. This worked on the S3. Is it a limitation to the phone or does something need to be configured? I noticed this with a lot of applications that have push messages.
This happen with all apps or only Facebook?
And what firmware you are using? Stock one?
Can you show some screenshots?
Same problem here, but as far as I have noticed, it only happens to the e-mail (default application). Any suggestions?
Check the app's settings.

Are you using Touchwiz or a third party launcher?
