Is anyone with CM on EMMC able to boot their tablet reliably? I cannot shut mine down, fast reboot, or do anything in recovery and then boot it back up unless I wipe Dalvik cache. Otherwise, I'm stuck at the Cyanogenmod logo.
If you are running the trebuchet launcher, did you try the trick of disabling the wallpaper quick render.

I suffer from the EXACT same issue and have not found a resolution. BTW I run the ADW Launcher. Not even sure how to disable wallpaper quick render.

Thanks! I had the same problem and that fixed it. Didn't even know I had trebuchet, find it in settings and disabled the quick render and it works!

I'm running ADW EX and don't have Trebuchet installed, and ADW EX doesn't seem to have a similar setting, unless it's "wallpaper hack," which is already disabled.
I uninstalled ADW launcher EX and went back to the default Trebuchet launcher built into CM. I disabled Wallpaper quick render and it indeed did fix the boot error I was getting. No longer do i need to wipe Dalvik.
So the question is, what's wrong with ADW on our modded Nooks?

I run ADW with no booting problems. You might try reinstalling now that you cleared that checkmark.

I found that my trebuchet quick wallpaper launcher was already disabled by default.
It turns out that my problem was caused by having a "custom image" lockscreen background. Setting my lockscreen bacground to "Default Wallpaper" fixed my issue.
This problem doesnt appear in CM10.2. But 10.2 seems pretty laggy to me.

Alright this has been driving me mad for a while now and there doesn't seem to be an active thread with a solution to this.
Every once in a while when i boot up my phone will have problem loading widget. So i moved them back to phone for the ones that mattered and tried to select the widget again from the menu. Well they're not there any more. and even after a reinstall and reboot boot the programs don't show in the widgets section.
Has anyone had this issue and/or have a fix for it?
Thanks,
Urzu
What ROM? When you set the install location to automatic, widgets should install the the phone by default (which is where all widgets need to be installed, or you get errors when loading the widget). To be safe, I would set the install location to phone, then reinstall the widgets and see where that gets you... This is of course assuming you are running a ROM that allows for this.

every time i restart my phone i have to reload all my widgets. this happened for the first time a couple of days age. i thought i had it fixed, but it started again to day. i have tried flashing to di01 and dl09 stock. all that did was break my mount on my pc (thank you Lord for adrynalyne). i am running adys test 5 voodoo now. until the flash stock i was on imnuts voodoo uv 25. other than the flash to stock, i have not flashed a nonvoodoo kernel over a voodoo. i dont even have nonvoodoo kernels on my sd card. i have done data and cache wipe and a dalvik cache wipe. any ideas?

yeah both those and tw. same same. no workie.
I just started having this problem also. In addition to widgets failing to load my settings reset to default and contacts erase after every reboot. I'm probably just going to do an odin restore unless anyone has any other ideas.
(I have no apps on sdcard and am already using Launcher Pro)

are you running a voodoo kernel?
i think it has something to do with either red cwm or voodoo. i disabled the lag fix and flash a non voodoo kernel with green. that fixed it. using green i flashed another voodoo kernel. when i restarted the phone it did not apply the lag fix. si i rebooted into recovery and got red right away. i enabled the lag fix. restarted and lady android applied the lag fix. when it was done my booted up with all my widgets!!!!!
let me know if anyone else has this problem or theory.
Yes at one point I had run one of the froyo roms/kernels and yes I'm running voodoo. An Odin restore seemed to fix it. Not sure what was the problem.

Several folks over on account had this problem. Getting of red so far has fixed it for everyone. I'm back on voodoo and every thing works great now. But I had to disable lag fix and flash green and flash new voodoo in green before it worked. I have red back but its over green. I didn't even have green before.

I have recently rooted and installed CM7 RC1 on my MyTouch 4G everything seemed to be going well for the first about 30 mins i got gapps installed (manually btw) but suddenly after the phone started to install apps from the android marketplace i can no longer long press on the home screen nor can i move widgets i can still feel the haptic feedback but no response.
Sounds like a bad install, reinstall clear all user data, cache, dalvik-cache and fix permissions before booting back up.

Thanks ill try that right now and come back with any other issues. That presist after re-install.
Also wanted to state that for installing Gapps i had to do it the Manual way if that matters or if anybody is having trouble installing them.

Manual as in flashing the zip file, we all had to do that.

No i mean instead of having RomManager do it i did it manually in recovery.
Yeah, that's what I meant. I never do anything important like that in rom manager, always boot into recovery.

i had that same problem and it was a simple fix on my part. i actually had accidently hit lock desktop under the more menu on the desktop screen. u can long press and nothing happens or cant move widgets while the desktop is locked. try seeing under the desktop menu if it is locked if so unlock it and that should work. hope this helps some
symptom : u install launcher pro, try to save setting, the launcher pro ask you to restart launcher pro , but after restart, all setting goes back to default.
solution -->> install titanium backup (remember, u have to rooted ur device 1st)
tap on backup/restore tab
find launcher pro
wipe data!
OR
also , u can wipe/factory reset your device
OR
and also, install another ROM with wipe option.
just discover last night...

Ye I also had that problem. Noticed it after upgrading ROMs a few times.
I did a full wipe too and that solved it but the Titanium Backup way didn't. Strange.

Syamsoul you are a champion. After countless flashing, circle battery mod and gingerbread keyboard settings would be lost after reboot.
Tried resetting under settings/applications and even uninstalled a re-downloaded but still the same.
The titanium trick did the job. Cheers buddy.

Install on the original stock rom went fine, but I can't use CyanogenMod settings as it FC's each time.
Any idea why?

Boot into TWRP, factory reset, wipe /system, install CM7, reboot. It should work now. It's probably just bad data, or cruft on /system.
[SOLVED]cm7 and Cyanogenmod settings
Obvious. I cleaned everything befor a new install; No more FC's.
