I have the latest CM installed and I still the problem with the gallery app. The app shows the album names and albums but I can't see the pictures and videos in any album, I just see grey square boxes. This has been a problem in the past few nightlies too, does anyone else experience the same problem?
If you have a solution, please help.
LG-D802 CM nightly 5th November.

A point to note that I can see all the pics and videos when I swipe to the right in the camera app, it's the gallery app that doesn't work.

Hi, guys
I'm running LPF kernel but my gallery thumbnails just broken. Some thumbnails are showing black squares.
Anyone know how I can force gallery app to refresh thumbnails?
Also I like the gallery app from CM9 better, would I be able to download it somewhere?
Thanks.

Answering my own question, clear data of "media storage" in manage apps will force media scanner to reconstruct the thumbnails.

One of the best galleries is QuickPic, if you ask me.

I tried quickpics before but it doesn't integrate Picasa which would be a great plus.

Try this
This is what I use when using official Samsung
Again shame on Samsung for being slack and providing the gb gallery https://play.google.com/store/apps/...eryics&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd

Was on stock went to aokp and just realised that gif support is broken, so my question is: is it possible to port over the stock gallery app (which I doubt) or is there a replacement app out there which supports it. I have already tried fun gallery and ics gallery from the app store, no luck on either of them.

Is that the only way ? I don't like having 20 different folders with repeated pics on my gallery

Hi, in my gallery there is an album called hangouts with all the hangouts pictures I got and sent myself. But I cant seem to find where I can delete the album, there isnt a delete option like with other albums and also the pictures havent got an option like that.
How can I delete the album?

Try checking your Google+ album, because normally Google+ saves the pictures you send and receive.
Thats what i had done in the past and has worked for me.
Give it a try.

Hey all. Until recently every time i tried to view a video using the Facebook app i would get a pop-up menu, from Es file manager app i think, which gave me the option to download it or view it with mxplayer or with the native viewer etc. It also had two options to use this choice once or all time. For some time now this menu hasn't been appearing at all. Any idea how to restore it please? I run rastakat 4.4.2. Thanks

You can go into the said apps defaults then change them. For example settings / apps / scroll to mx player then clear the defaults at the bottom of the page. I think this is what you mean.
