This is my first post so be gentle on me guys and girls!
I got the Nexus 5 on launch day in the UK and am absolutely loving the phone, been playing about with the Android Open Source Project and compiled the Live wallpapers. Currently got the Galaxy one set at the moment.
Here are the Live Wallpapers from the Android Open Source Project for everyone to enjoy :victory:

You will need to allow installation of apps from sources other than the play store by checking the box in Settings -> Security -> Unknown sources.
Hope this helps!

I'n not too sure to be honest, it's the first time i've looked at AOSP before. The last phone I has was the Optimus 3D which was way behind everything for software updates. LG hardware seems sound but their software is lacking so the Nexus seemed perfect with the software being pushed by Google.

So do you just copy it to any folder on the SD card, check the unknown sources box, install it from that folder, and then delete it from the folder on the SD card after it installs?
wow thanks for sharing these! looking forward to doing a couple tweaks and putting them on mine.

It is supposed to move, I don't think it works with Googles new launcher though. What I always hated about this wallpaper though it the big circles would disappear if they were more than half off the screen. It just made it look choppy and ugly. Wish someone over at google wouldve done a better job with it.

It doesn't scroll on the Nexus 4 and if I remember correctly, it was static on the Galaxy Nexus also. I prefer non-scrolling.

Thanks. I tried this with ES File Explorer and it comes back X Not Installed. Then all I can do is hit Done. I tried the PhaseBeam.apk from my Nexus 4. The .zip from this thread does not have an .apk file in it.

I'm not sure if any of that is useful other than the OfficeApp, but I may play with the others. Thanks for the link.
EDIT: The keyboard is lame other than the arrow keys feature. A keyboard with arrow keys and a num-pad would be the way to go.

I suspect they're thinking about the PixelQI screen in transreflective mode where the increased contrast of the keyboard will still make it very useable.
Sign apk? ahh, i'm a designer not a programmer, i merely opened up the apk, modified one of the skins (a png file) for a test.
so, all ive done is altered the filesize and date of one of the inner files.

Anyone got maild working on the Vega? I flashed via CW but couldnt locate it after reboot... doesnt seem to install anywhere
got mail'd working but can't get contacts to show up. i didn't flash it though. unzipped the file on the vega and installed the apk from the folder
I've tried some of the apps here, I'll leave my two cents.
mail app: Brilliant. I love the way it manages the accounts and the look & feel.
Sniffer App (file manager): Looks kind of cool, but doesn't recognize the USB drive.
Calendar: Looks nice but I don't use it ,so can't compare.
Browser: With the email, the best of the lot. Just one annoying thing. I have to reinstall it every time I reboot. Weird.
I'm not sure if i'm in the right section, but i do need help testing on other platforms cause the emulator doesn't support Open ES 2.0. and i only carry a 2.3.3 device. Thanks for the support!

Hi there,
Just some feedback for you.
I've just installed this on SGS2 with no problems at all using a 212 dpi screen resolution. (Hdpi).
Great start! There's a lot of Minecraft fans out there, so the potential is huge.

Its fine on my S2.
My sensation has a screen resolution of 540×960.
It could well be that the Rom at the time may of needed a Market Fix.
Bear with me, I'll try with another Rom that's now installed.
Cheers.
P.s, I've gave a playstore rating also.
OK yes it's fine.
I was running a CM9 nightly at the time, but now it's downloaded just fine with another build.
For reference I've downloaded it twice at different resolutions, 240 ,212 with no issues.
On a side note, check out this game:

It's not just an ordinary Minecraft clone. Highly recommended, and definitely one to watch.
Good luck, I'll keep my eyes on this thread.

this is also the first time i'm using lead bolt. i also filed some complains about not completing even tho the user has completed the ad. i'm looking into using something else that is more reliable. they did email me back that it takes a few days for the ads to fully implement into my application. don't know what that means but the app only has been out for 4 days.
thanks for letting me know about the char moves with slightest touch. i looked into that before, i did not add a frame / time counter so next version will be fixed.

I went to install this, but then realized: why does it need the following permissions?
- Coarse (network-based) location
- Fine (GPS) location
- Read phone state and identity
This looks like a fine app, and I would like try it out and help with its development. However, I do not want my privacy invaded. It's a live wallpaper. It shouldn't need these permissions. The only reason why I think you would need these permissions is if the ad-providing plugin required them, in which case I'll skip on this app. Please remove these permissions.

So I decided to make some wallpapers and share them with everyone.
It took me about an hour to make and I will be taking requests for specific colors and ideas. Buy you can just download gimp for free and customize to your liking. Its not very hard.
Bellow are some examples of what to expect in this pack. It will be updated regularly (hopefully) and don't worry, no donations or anything, I was just bored.
All wallpapers are in HD and compressed in a .zip file. Might need winrar or 7zip to open you know?
Wallpapers will be updated regularly. I now have a partner working to copy these to the nexus 7 (2013 and 2012). If you have any requests contact me by XDA messages. And we will work from there.
Examples of wallpapers i do are located bellow in the attachments.
Change log - sort of
[V4] - December 17, 2014
-added material patterns collection
[V3] - December 11, 2014
-added nexus 5 wallpapers. Simply solid colors with nexus 5 on it.
-PS more to come soon working on a few ideas that take a good bit of time. Plus exams are on at the moment...need to study.
[V2] - December 3, 2014
-added more material wallpapers with material button and more depth added to navigation buttons.

If you're nice enough, link people here and distribute. And hit the Thanks button. these take a good bit of geometry and math to get right, plus going through personal requests and conversions to various resolutions.
And thank my friend Jaron Moore from the Nexus 5 Central community on G+ for working on the nexus 7.

2) convert for nexus 6 and 9.
Note: I won't give ETA's. I have no idea when and where I make these, my schedule is hectic so I can't plan ahead to make these.

This is nice!! I would like to be able to long hold on the window to move it.
Something tells me that multi window didn't get mentioned because I don't Think multiwindow will be ready by the final release. It will most likely be in developer settings. Although nice to have is not as functional as Touchwiz. For instance I can't really watch YouTube and use hangouts. Sure I can but as soon as I responded the video paused as soon as the keyboard popped up. I hope when it is release in prime time even away from development settings would be to minimize windows. Back to youtube, if I were on Facebook and wanted to listen to a YouTube video I can minimize the window barely taking any screen real estate and continue doing what I was doing.

Yes it is. I'm glad they are developing it though. As our phones get bigger and bigger, it just makes sense. If they truly want tablets to take the place of laptops, this is the right direction. It's extremely buggy though. I thought scrolling inside each of the 2 apps was smooth, but as soon as you try to switch apps in either screen, it gets really buggy.

I don't know know if your familiar with this app but I absolutely love it. This combined with Substratum gives you the ability to customize your phone to its fullest. I was able to theme my notifications shade to match my note9 colors and that's not even the half of what you can do. Give it a try. Search Good Lock 2018 in the Galaxy Apps store.
Nice, thanks for the heads up. I've seen these two things mentioned here and there. I'm downloading and giving them a shot now!
This is one of Samsung's best. Why doesn't it come on the phone? It has like 5 different amazing additions.
Just installed it and it is really good. Changed my recent apps so it is similar to android pie where you can scroll from left to right and vice versa. Much easier to multitask this way.

Have you tried using Aptoid? It's an alternate app store. I see it has Good Lock 2018 too.

Aptoide? Really? Welcome to adware land!
Personally I just grab the apks from apkmirror and install them.
You have to add shortcuts to each app because they are not accessible from the app drawer. Use a shortcut maker app for that.

Sometimes it's just easier with Aptoid. Download get the app you want. Uninstall. Apk mirror is also a great option. Thanks for sharing.
For reference these are the apps you may want to install:
Samsung Task changer
Routine
RoutinePlugin*
One hand operation
Samsung Quickstar
Edge touch
Edge lighting +
ClockFace
